  1. "Wooly Bully"-Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs the Matty told Hattie line was news to me. I never knew what he was saying.
  2. "Cause he gets up in the morning, and he goes to work at nine"
  3. ok "sick at heart and lonely, deep in dark despair. thinking one thought only. "where is she, tell me where ?"
  4. time's up- "We Ain't Got Nothing Yet"- the Blues Magoos
  5. I ain't got nothing left but to reveal the song. last chance.
  6. I based my comments on Bolshevik's link. It was a Boston source, that describes the 10th inning as basically a Sox love fest, since Burns is a Sox fan. Burns is quoted as saying that he's planning on ending the film at the 2004 Sox victory.
  7. no one's got it yet ? I'll go to the chorus "we made a lot of mistakes, but you know, we got what it takes, oh we ......
  8. On further thought, I'll be watching cause it's Ken Burns. I still don't buy 'ending' it in 2004. The tearing down of old Yankee Stadium, and the championship in the first year of the new one, seems just as valid and certainly more current.
  9. nope-not those-I can see why you'd guess 'Everyday People" "One day you're up, and the next day you're down, you can't face the world with your head to the ground the grass is always greener on the other side they say so don't worry boys, life will be sweet some day" Everyone in our codger age group knows this song-can't say I ever thought about the words much, though
  10. Burns says he's going to end it in 2004. I'm so sorry we're in 2010, and the Yankees are again champs. It's like a political documentary made by some right winger, that ends with a triumphant George Bush. Whatever came after somehow doesn't count, or as important. I know the argument about the long suffering Sox nation, and the generations that didn't live to see the triumph, and of course it has to be an important part of the film. The article paints a picture of a love fest I don't need to suffer through.
  11. I guess I posted first-and already posted another song =I did misspell suite though
  12. "Sweet Judy blue eyes"-referring to Judy Collins-and they were "One day you're up and the next day you're down, you can't face the world with your face to the ground"
  13. that's of course, "Lost in Space". Dr Smith and the robot-neither were in the original pilot. I'm lost in work and can't drum a new one up just now, though.
  14. I don't know the episode, but I am curious about the connection to a World's Finest comic.

    Edith`s adventure

well-I've decided that's how I want to go.
  16. it's easy if you know it- "After the Gold Rush"-Neil Young
  17. I love that song, but since I still don't have one ready, I'll let someone else take it.
  18. ah-I hadn't checked the previous page. You're right-you did link it. I don't have anything at the moment. Anyone is welcome to jump in if I start spacing on a new one.
  19. you can't post lines to 'Tomorrow Never Knows', until the song I posted is guessed
  20. SWABLR- did I spell it correctly ? new one- "remember when you ran away and I got on my knees and begged you not to leave because I'd go berzerk"
  21. Then I read they average 2.2 million viewers. That's about a corner of the city where I live. I already know there's more people than that in this country that want their 'news' Fox style. It's amazing how cable and the internet has thinned out ratings. 2.2 million would have gotten a network shut down in a week back in the prehistoric 70's.
