TomS, In the words of Rafael 1969, an OPEN FLAME is a dry heat!
-
Holy macaroni Mother Ship, Tom Strange registered a year later than me and already has more posts. And I've been accused of being verbose! Isn't it good to be back home again?

and the 'roos and dingos!

Rock is more or lesss ok, or better. The heat has mellowed a little (overcast, but no rain yet) together with increased humdity. The biggest problem was 115+ with ozone alerts. It's still not a dry heat, but it's still not as hot. Other than that, creeks an' crannies making noise some, but hey, still breathin, ya know! And, TS, so you're "just not with bats" on your vacation. No Tejas Rangers games? niKa, my kiddo liked Nemo, she saw it with her momma. she also liked Seabisquick, which we saw this weekend (I liked it too).

Too Gray, how did you come to be such an authority? ;)--> :D-->

well, I don't see it either. Does the Emperor even have any clothes on?

tnks, niKa. best person to say who went would be Simontheloaded or the hostess with the mostess, Karmicdebt. on the medical front, I can be positive and say I am most graciously thankful for a REPUBLICAN, longtime Arizona Congressman, the recently passed away Bob Stump. He served about 25 years in Congress and was variously chair of Armed Services and Veterans Affairs committees. Stump was a tightwad's tightwad, but he quietly advocated for increased benefits for veterans. Without his service in Congress, I would not have medical coverage. I am most thankful that what I am dealing with is treatable, and at the Phoenix VA, it's being taken care of. Anyway, your upholsterous endeavor sounds tedious. Be sure to write something fun if it gets too tedious, ok Professor? BTW, tonight it rained again (second night in a row). Not enough, but better than none.

Ok, I guess... well, I'm thinking of an island state... I did not attend the Tucson gathering and claim medical exemption. It sounds like it was fun, however. If anyone has a personal need for more information on my medical well-being or whatever, I will only go into it in private. I'd just as soon not, but will if asked.

Thanks, niKa. Very moving.

niKa, prayers, you got it. Igotout, when you going to the Grand Canyon? will you be driving between Vegas and the Canyon? Will you be stopping in Flagstaff?

That salt covenant, is that for margaritas or coronas? So glad to have found all these strange and stranger people (I used to be able to play "stranger in the night" on a telephone dial pad)... and remember Charlie LeCount teaching me to play the trombone...without having to take the trouble of using a trombone to do so... But I digress. Many thanks for niKa, and Rev TT, and simonthebloated, and all the rest. Peace dudes, and dudettes. btw, on the subject of stuff up the nose... my brother's sibling once put beer nuts in his nostrils (that was me, and it earned me a trip to the ER.

It's been over 110 here today, and it's not a dry one, 'cause I had to switch from evap cooler to A/C. And we had an ozone alert because we are bad stewards of our environment. Mas cervesa... and make sure there's lime to go with it, pls. Hope yer finding easy ways to keep the gang cool in Okie land.

Excie, I have an extra powerball ticket from last week that I don't need anymore, you can have that one if you want... TS... the "BOB" indeed. They been playin some serious basaballa there lately... so say the Shea hey kid. And if I win tonight, I will sponsor a 9th corps shindig (in to cool country somewhere where there aren't any burning trees).
-
Yeah Simeon, how about them Daimonbacks, eh? They ARE ahead in the wild spirit race now in the NL. I also got the impression niKa knew more about Randy G than she was telling us... but HOW on this earth can you even suggest that Excie has her head anywhere but where it should be, in the Grateness of the Verd! And Simeon, remember this -- MAS Cerveza...except right before the drive down to Tucson in 10 days.

Ah niKa, it does indeed. It's STUFF. Some stuff grows back (Yippie), and that part is actually quite awesome. But it sure helps us with images of what doesn't grow back, the folks, that is. I'm reminded of what's happening in Washington, where once rumbled the mighty and explosive power, with dramatic ash and all, Mt. St. Helens. Anyway, GO DIAMONDBACKS! They were down 5-0 tonight and are now, in the 7th inning, ahead 13-6. One young man has hit 3 home runs and 7 rbi's. See y'all in October baseball! (sorry about the excitement, baseball fans).

"It's a dry heat" -- is that code for "I'm not sure what it feels like, but someone said it shouldn't be that bad?" If so, consider this -- the fire on Mt Lemmon, still going after all these weeks (nearly 3, btw) -- and niKa, I know you know Mt. Lemmon, and Tucson -- the fire is, as they say in "Hotshots" jargon, "laying down." Attempts to have preventative "controlled" burns in low lying grass areas, where catastrophic pine crown fires can be prevented, are NOT burning -- because the humidity is rising. And my evaporative cooler was not putting out very cold air last night at bed time. So, as for me and my heat, well, it's not staying dry and might need depends. So, YES -- Mas Cerveza

Ah, Professor, that was wonderful and enlightening, sorry for my mistake in not clarifying which of Rev Tuttle's words I meant. It was Mr. T's prophesy immediately before that one that was such a puzzlement to me. Perhaps I simply don't have ears to hear or eyes to see the fullness of that hot pnuema. But thank you niKa for sharing about your family history, it is noble and wonderful. Thank you very much. [This message was edited by Rocky on July 06, 2003 at 19:57.]

Rev. T, didn't someone forget to bring forth the interpretation of your tongues?

I met (but had not "come to know") Eduardo DiNoto, and I met Carlos Araoz, but I really like a mexican food ristorante called Chicos Tacos, and my favorite menu item is Arroz con Pollo, but withhold the sour cream.

Oh Tom, you vant HOT? Ask Simon the Zealot about HOT. Why he works out in it, and on surfaces that I can only imagine must feel like he's already been tried in the furnace of hell! But me? Ha, I work in an air conditioned building and complain about the heat whenever I leave for the day.

"Show some leg..." Is that a euphamism? :D-->
