  1. we ceased saying the will of the Lord be done or we ceased, saying, the will of the Lord be done Somebody's got to be a liar!!! Just kidding!! The interlinear probably has the words in different places. I still Don't think it says Paul was "outside of the will of the Lord". Not that Paul couldn't be that way if he wanted to. And I don't think he should have went but he did. Nothing new for God to work with. Paul just didn't get it from all those that were trying to help him that day.
  2. Zixar It says they did cease the persuading. So then how could they continue to tell Paul to not go to jerusalem if they ceased? vp claims they were continuing to say "don't go to jerusalem" and what vp says the verse is saying. So they ceased saying don't go to jerusalem and said the will of the Lord be done. So the meaning of that phrase could be speculated on I suppose. I don't think it says Paul was "outside of the will of the Lord" or "out of fellowship" like vp taught. But like I said it's my take on the verse-not god-breathed or something.
  3. Put this on another thread earlier Acts 21:14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done. I don't think vpw got this one right. vp teaches that they continued to tell Paul to do the will of the Lord which was to not go to jerusalem by removing the commas and the "be done". No I don't think so. I think the commas are correctly supplied to indicate that that they stopped persuading Paul to not go to jerusalem and that they believed the will of the Lord would be done regardless of Paul going to jerusalem or not. That's my take on the verse.
  4. vpw like you magnified his work above the scripture. Does your walk glorify God? And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done
  5. "THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE "FIVE SENSES" UNDERSTANDING AND THE "SPIRITUAL" UNDERSTANDING" Yep been down that road too. Sorry no deal
  6. I don't think you are being censored. Certain things trigger a review automatically that are insignificant. I have the same things happen on some chat boards. Certain combinations of words and numbers even. Speak on
  7. Let's look at your fruit; Arrogant Closeminded Everyone is wrong but me I have done this I have done that Talk bad about churches Treat everyone like second class people Tell everyone that you cannot understand scripture because of the translations and lack of originals My class is the only answer Yep pfal and the books-you are doing great. You would make vp proud. God thinks it sucks
  8. What makes you think I didn't master those books. I didn't question your statement on that fact. You don't know what you think you know.
  9. I forgot to add that of course I think you can follow anything you want!!! But be warned that you do so at a great risk to yourself and those around you if you choose to embrace vpw's work.
  10. Yo Mike I'm not much of a fan of the "what would Jesus do" people, but I would think he might kick your butt back to the scriptures. JC didn't even allow himself to be so worshiped. I think he said search the scriptures not the works of vpw. Like you I've read and worked all those books more times then I care to count and Now I find them seriously lacking in truth. And the practical application of them simply do not work. The fruit of vp's "the way ministry" or "the way international" is self evident.
  11. For me Jesus the Christ's position is undeniably what the bible says it is. Just trying to point out that no human is without mistake or they wouldn't be human. vpw was placed on a pedastal where everything he said or did was directly from god and vp was without mistake, with emphasis on vp's doctrine. I believe that thinking was helped along by the phrase I mentioned. If you are in fellowship over a period of time man you are really walking with god and can do or say no wrong is what was implied and even taught. Of course I think vp did more than just make mistakes....a lot more.
  12. Who said Jesus was perfect? In the sense of no mistakes. People do-god didn't-god just said he was without sin-they ain't the same. Must be partly that stupid in-out of fellowship crap teaching vp and others teach. Yes the word perfect is used about jesus but it is also used to describe how everyone else can be too. "jesus was the only perfect man" does not apply. I'll bet he bent a few nails in his time. Hammered his thumb at least twice. Ok off my soap box--continue.....
  13. When I tell someone in conversation that I was raised in Arkansas they always ask what brought you here. Most of the time I tell them it was for work. Only a few times have I told the story of the religious cult. I guess I just don't want to get into a long story about it and, yeah, what they would think about me.
  14. I use windows backup with an XP system. You can find the setup file for windows backup on your xp setup disk. you can schedule backups for whenever you want them to run. one hint though you have to create and use a user password for your computer even if you are the only user because in order for the scheduling to work it requires the user password.
