yes transcribers editors perception.....
and me 19 years old trying to discover the spiritual treasures in these great works i had received along with syllabus
--
i worked with rhoda in word processing. she was very very proud (and protective) of the little responses she wrote under vic's hand - of course he never saw the letters to which he was responding
it really bothered me because i figured i had gotten one or two of those and it was not from the teacher

on that page you can scroll down to left and read and / or sign guestbook

glad the cruise was overall fantastic for you and yours
-
were you in the way corps program, john?
-
it would have helped if they were called "a collection of collateral individual whatever bs.....
-
I didn't think those collaterals were disjointed. I always thought one of VPs strengths was how he sequenced stuff. In one collateral, the blue book, I think, he ended one chapter with "You are rescued now"! then the very next chapter was called "You are righteous now". He was good at that.
are you kidding me? really ?????
he was NOT good at that
those books were definitely disjointed. if you liked each chapter standing alone, fine, i don't care much
but disjointed they were - i don't feel digging them out - if i even have them
i'm just telling you my confusion as a new PFAL grad - mind you i was a teenager - and i'm 58 now lol
-
those books volume I, II, III -- whatever they were -- the blue book, the green, the orange.....
they had no coherency
each chapter was so disjointed
i was expecting something entirely different
i thought they would make sense and have a flow
who put them together and why?

I didn't say I agreed with LCM's yelling. But he was right about one thing. We DO wrestle against spirits, not flesh and blood. How many evil spirits have YOU killed? Then what is this "warfare" you refer to?
okay even if i get sent to doctrinal.....
when lcm yelled, i don't think he yelled at any spirits. i think he yelled at sweet believers who loved god and jesus christ with all their hearts
same with wierwille
hope that made them feel BIG
phhhhh u ccckkkkkers

thank you chock and steve ~ i appreciate it
i feel god has always been with me in my life through the roman catholic upbringing and the way and of course now
-
no he didn't - he was working on that when he passed
-
honestly it's not about "dorky" - it's about stupid embarrassing crap we had to endure and in front of other adults who were not "in the way" -- it actually disgusts me as it did then, but THEN i found some stupid way to rationalize it
of course things we wore or things we did in our past could be considered dorky
i'm not even considering that type of stuff
people in my family and friends outside of the way were in the same era of dorkiness - you understand? they found things in the way strange - same here
we didn't have a TV in the way home
we sang stupid songs to guests in the way corps in residence
we wore big stupid buttons to recognize each other at functions
we were so blessed and had our own little code language
never confess a negative
third aid and all that nonsense
come on i could go on and on
of course things in the past seem dorky
but things in the way seem DOWNRIGHT RIDICULOUS
thank you
