  1. I took the Christian Family and Sex class in 1975 or 76; vp was teaching the class on video tape. I'm trying to remember what was taught concerning "Original Sin" and "abortion". I seem to remember that he said he believed the original sin was Adam masturbating (or maybe it was Eve) after they were together. They should have gone to each other if they wanted sex. vp said it was okay to masturbate if you were by yourself but once you had a spouse your spouse was to meet your need. hmmmmm!!! Concerning abortion, he said that life began when a baby took it's first breath not at conception. Of course he had his array of scripture to back up everything he said. I don't know if over the years any of those beliefs changed, or if I even remember it correctly. I didn't take notes, ha,ha, and if I did, I would have thrown them away a long time ago. Anyone remember?
  2. How come we couldn't take notes? Perhaps if we wrote down our questions we would have realized how ridiculous it all was.
  3. Sara Wierwille was hospitalized when she was in-residence in the 8th. corps. Needless to say we had 24/7 hour prayer vigils for her (like we weren't already sleep deprived). Gerald Wrenn let us know that it was our fault that she wasn't getting better; we weren't speaking in tongues enough, praying enough, BELIEVING BIG ENOUGH. Sure enough she eventually got better (thanks to the wonders of modern medicine) and God got all the glory. I was hospitalized when I was in-residence, no prayer vigils for me; as a matter of fact, my husband was told we weren't believing enough and that's why I got sick. Maybe if Mrs. Wierwille would have sent me to a doctor instead of giving me a raw potato to eat I wouldn't have landed in the hospital! Oh yeah, I was also in-residence when uncle harry died. More 24/7 prayer, more sleep deprivation. He Died! Whose lack of believing?
  4. Out for 16 years this August (ROA). Think I'll celebrate my sweet 16. First time posting, does that make me a "poster child"?
