Nope. It stars ONE of the stars of the Breakfast Club. A costar could be described as One Man. Although at the time, you may have been able to refer to him as half a man, depending on the liberties you want to take. Youth and all.
-
By the way, the Running movie I was thinking of earlier was Running Scared, with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines. Carry on...

Not the Breakfast Club, but you're in the right genre. And one of the stars, too.

Need hints? The song is by Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark (aka, OMD)
-
Yes. Love that title.

You were correct, of course. Technically, "Flashdance" is also the name of the song, and "What A Feeling" was the subtitle (and most memorable/obvious lyric). Dude Looks Like a Lady... Not sure how many movies it's in, but I remember it best from Mrs. Doubtfire If You Leave

A boy whose father died in the Twin Towers finds a key that leads him to evidence that space aliens exist and are about to visit us in Wyoming.

Is that "it" it, or just one of the its? What a feeling

Well, considering that this movie had EVERY song in it, I'll take a stab at it: Forrest Gump

Staying Alive is a good example of a song that appeared in multiple movies but is best associated with one. I think we'll all agree that Saturday Night Fever is the best answer. There was, of course, a sequel: Staying Alive. And the song was in it. And it was played as part of the bar scene in Airplane! I didn't want to use specific examples in the rules post because it would ruin the opportunity to use those songs. Anyway, whatever, back to our program: Run Through the Jungle Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

To keep the game moving, cheating is allowed after 24 hours. But you gotta fess up. (Not really, but fess up anyway).

The game show quote should be a giveaway. I'll reveal the movie I THOUGHT it was when someone posts the correct answer.

Well, I looked it up, and I was wrong. I'm not aware of a second movie by the same name. Not saying there wasn't one, but my guess was wrong. My guess did, however, have a major word in common with the correct title. But that doesn't help you unless you know my wrong guess.

New game, should be easy, but not as long-lasting as some of the other games on this board. The idea here is simple: Name a song that is either originally from a movie OR is so closely associated with that movie that it might as well be. We guess the movie. In the event we have a song title that belongs to more than one song, the person who posts the clue should clarify. If he does not, the person who answers can clarify. For example (these are not from any movie I know of, but let's pretend they are): Someone Like You Songs by that name were recorded by Linda Eder (for "Jekyll and Hyde") and by Adele (for "The Grammy Juggernaut"). If, when I post the clue, I say "Someone Like You, by Linda Eder," the answer MUST be Jekyll and Hyde. If, when I post the clue, I just say "Someone Like You," then you can answer either "Jekyll and Hyde (Linda Eder version)" or "The Grammy Juggernaut (Adele version)." If the same song is used for more than one movie, the answer should be the one it's MOST closely associated with. Any third party (neither asker nor responder) can judge. Finally, if the name of the movie is the name of the song, the poster is permitted to use an EASILY identifiable lyric. Let's not turn this into name that tune. When in doubt, pick another song. If you need confirmation, your answer should be followed by a question mark. Otherwise, assume you're right and post the next clue. Ready? Here it is! The First Clue! My Heart Will Go On

If it's what I think it is, I LOVE this movie! Way underrated. A few years ago, another movie with the same name came out. Other than that, not much in common.
-
If you stop and think about it, the first clue is really such a dead giveaway that you really need no other. Not that it's a well known line, but I can't think of another character in fiction who would have uttered it. Once you know who said it, the movie becomes as obvious as the nose on your face.

"Well, well. Quite the scholar, I see. Look, Giddy. A man of letters. Here's your book." "I'm going to school." "School. Ah, yes. Then perhaps you haven't heard of the easy road to success." "Uh-uh." "No? I'm speaking, my boy, of the theater! Here's your apple. Bright lights, music, applause! Fame!" "Fame?" "Yes! And with that personality, that profile, that physique... why, he's a natural-born actor, eh, Giddy?" "But I'm going..." "...straight to the top! Why, I can see your name in lights, lights six feet high! Uh... what is your name?"

Love and Death on Long Island Jason Priestly Tombstone Yes, I know I've gone into "Traxx" territory, but how do you not trot out the obscure little art house film when you actually have the opportunity?

"If you've met one child with autism, you've met one child with autism." My son has autism. It is false to say that they do not speak until 6 or 7. My boy is 5 and talks up a storm. He's not very articulate. It's tough to understand him sometimes. but he speaks. A lot. I know of other children who are still non-verbal in their early teens. Every child is different. Talking to other parents of children with autism is helpful for insight, support and encouragement, but you need a professional to work with you, your child and your granddaughter to meet her specific needs when it comes to communication. The advice you get from others may or may not apply to your granddaughter. Good luck.

I didn't say I don't like what you think about Ehrman. I said it's irrelevant. My question was what you thought of his point. Please advise if I need to address you as a Sheliak when asking future questions. :)
