  1. This is probably a very touchy subject and I will try my best to be very delicate about what I'm trying to say. First of all I have never been a victim from any sexual abuse, be it rape, child molestation etc. And I don't fully undertand what must go on in the abused one's mind after going through such a horrible experience. What I am trying to understand is why people post their experience about how they were abused, not just once or twice but over and over, doesn't that kinda take you back to where you are reliving it again and again. Would you not just want to deal with it and then move on. I don't know but when something bad has happened to me I don't like going back to that place in my mind. AND DON'T READ ME WRONG I'M NOT DISAGREEING THAT IF PEOPLE NEED TO SHARE THEIR STORIES HERE WHETHER NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE, THAT'S COOL, but whenever sexual abuse comes up and it may not even be about them, but they feel the need to share it over and over again how they were abused and I just want to know , how come?

  2. Another real pretty piece is "Quilting Theme" by Thomas Newman.................thanks everyone for all your contributions, I'm just starting to get to some of them now. By the way I absolutely love "Appalachian Spring" even the the title of it !!

  3. Hi there!

I'm back again, only this time I'm looking for some classical music, stuff like "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, "Pachelbel" that kind of stuff, the kind that makes you feel like you're walking on air, light and cheery, NOT THE DARK GLOOMY STUFF. There's one I can't seem to recall, it's on the tip of my tongue, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is, it's a very popular one, a real pretty one so if any one has any suggestions, that would be terrific, they can even be instrumental ones from movies .

    Thanks

  8. I'm trying to find some movies filmed in the tropics or about the tropics, can be adventure, comedy, romantic, so far these are the only ones that I have come up with............ (and they can be old and new)

Anna and the King (Jodie Foster)

    Thanks!!

  9. ""People can fake illness or anything else that draws sympathy to them. I think we may have a little of that here at the Greasespot. People who always seem to have some kind of crisis going on.""

""The Internet provides a lot of anonymity for people who suck up the undeserved sympathy of fellow posters, though. And I thought folks would recognize the symptoms in the article as events that occur here very regularly. ""

I just wanted to bring this to the top, I found it to be very interesting, and in light of what Sudo said in the above quotations, very true!
