  1. Ex.............I must say that's an beautiful version or rendition of it, thanks!! I know there's still another one out there and there was more instrumental music to it, along with the words, I remember it was on some record that had awhole pile of hits along with it.

    Does anybody have any ideas?

  2. I want to say THANKS SO MUCH to everyone that contributed, I've got a great collection now!!!

The reason I was after that particular kind of music, is I find the music is so mellow, I'm an incurable romantic, and I like the sounds of it as I'm working away on my art pieces and spring is on the way!!

So thanks, I really appreciate it!!

Ex...........I used to listen to that song over and over growing up, I loved it but I can't seem to find the person or people who did it the way I had heard it, it's orginally done by Rod McKuen but I don't particularily care for the way her does it. Have you heard it done by anyone else besides him?

  3. WOW!!!

These are all fantastic especially the ones that were done in the 50's and 60's, the newer ones are great but I'm especially looking for the oldies right now.

Sudo, what a great voice and great song, who is the lady and what is the movie? I have a favor to ask of you, in your repitroire of oldies would you happen to have "Jean" done by Rod McKuen, it's from the movie "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie"

Thanks everyone, for all your contributions, keep em coming!!

  4. WhiteDove....................No no no no no no no, those are too recent, I want them like the ones I mentioned, you know those good old romantic mellow tunes that leave just leave you with a big happy sigh, they make your knees weak and turn you all mushy on the inside.

  5. I'm making a music collection of popular songs, that were romantic oldies and the only ones I can come up with righ now are songs like ........My Funny Valentine, This Guys In Love With You, On the Street Where You live, Moon River, Younger Than Springtime, other than those my mind is drawing a blank, if any of you can come up with alot more I would gladly appreciate it and the category is "Romantic Oldies"

  6. What an incredible moving story.................and I agree 100% with what the author wrote "People like you both, give me hope for our society"

Thanks for the great thread, it really puts things into perspective.

  7. GT,

Wow that picture speaks volumes !

Two things that come to my mind when I look at that picture...............Real genuine love and 1 Samuel 16:7......for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man lookrth on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

  8. I know how beneficial flax seed is in a healthy eating, but I was just reading a study where they were stating that even grinding or millling the flax seed, you still won't receive the all the benefits and I know there is the oil you can take, but I wanted to know if anyone here has ever sprouted flax seed and if so how did you go about doing it?

  9. Hi Dooj!

Being that you are an artist and myself also, but my work is a bit different from what you do and by the way your paintings are wonderful. I've never taken a course so I don't know much of the "artist lingo" or the techniques they use, I just kind of let the creative juices flow and come up with some pretty neat stuff, so I have a question that has kinda bothered me for years which is.............who are these "people" who decide whether someone is at the "Master Level" or not? And what does it really matter, if people like the finished product they're going to hang it on their walls and they don't care if the artist has reached a certain level or taken a course or not. I've seen people's work where they have never taken a course in their life and the pieces they have turned out have been incredible and others that have taken courses for years and I wouldn't be hanging their stuff in my home, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to art. I guess what I'm trying to say is I find that some artists get all hung up on the techniques and the lingo and the way a piece should be done instead of allowing freedom of expression and enjoying the piece as it is, instead of scrutinizing it.

  10. LOL!! This is too funny! In all honesty, my intention was never to put anyone on the run or make anyone feel uncomfortable and is by no means a "set-up" and as far as me going first, I'm still thinking heehee!!

Actually to tell you the truth, I really don't hide anything, I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve, if there was something I didn't like or did like 9 times out of 10, I would let them know, the one time I might beat around the bush but I would eventually get to it. I respect people that are upfront with me and I try to be the same, I don't like head games.

So I apologize if I have put anyone on the spot, this was not mean to be a serious question, I'm usually pretty goofy and playful.

    So please continue!! :)

  11. Man talk about a bunch of bitter people! As soon as someone says something that's contrary to your thinking, you jump down their throat. It's like a little clique on GS with some specific people, just like in TWI. I bet you, if I came back here in 10yrs, it would be the same people bitching about how a poster is wrong for stating their opinion.

I was under the impression you were relieved to be out of TWI yet you still act and talk like the people who stand with the organizatrion, you're bitter, rude, cutting, scarcastic. Just because you have a little following of GS' spotters backing you up, doesn't give you the right to cut them down because they have a difference of opinion.

I'm sure you'll come back with a number of words to say to me but in all honesty I don't give a rat's a#@ !

  12. Hi there Pink Lady!

I'm gonna have to beg to differ on your statement about running not being good for you, I think it's a great way to get exercise provided you do it on trails and and NOT pavement. Of all the sports or exercises I have tried it is the only sport for me that keeps me toned, my weight down and my cardiovascular in peak condition (along with free weights) after having 5 kids and the last two being twins. Aleast for me I can say it covers everything health-wise. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but I have been doing it for years and years and I have no complaints.

  13. I'd have to go with foods that are rich in antioxidants, they protect against free radicals which cause damage to the cells which result in dieases such as cancers and heart and they also accelerate aging. Antioxidants also boost the immune system and slow down the aging process and exercise which is a given.

  14. George , I have to disagree with you, I have met a few men who have fit that criteria, they absolutely swept me off my feet and it was absolutely wonderful !! And yes I have crashed and burned but I have absolutely no regrets.

  15. Well I'll have to say I can't speak for all women, but this is what I would find very attractive in a man..................for starters the most important would have to be honesty.

He would have to have a passion for life.

Loves to be intimate and doesn't restrict romance to the bedroom only.

Can open up and not be afraid to share his heart and his true feelings.

Having a good sense of humor is a must!

Likes to play and sometimes be silly.

    Romantic as in simple gestures.

Someone who looks after their health and smells good, you just want to snuggle into their neck and breathe them in.

Someeone you can flirt with and tease.

A good listener and enjoys having some in depth conversations

Loves the outdoors, down to earth

Enjoys being with the person he's with, doesn't much so matter what they are doing

    A sense of adventure

    Nice strong hands and forearms

  16. LMAO!!!

    What the heck????

I guess I like to repeat myself!!

Sudo I haven't used those notes I had to put music on here in ages, so my brain is a little foggy, I just posted a winter picture here before Christmas, no problemo, but for some reason I can't seem to recall one of the steps.

Now if I can talk White Dove into sending me the notes he had written me ages ago on how to post a picture I'll be set!

White Dove don't make me grovel for it!! LOL!

  17. White Dove, thanks, I did that and all I end up getting is the website address, I must be missing a step, can you PM me, I'd greatly appreciate it mucho!!

Belle, Thanks for the info but in all honesty it's too much reading for my brain and most of the computer lingo I don't understand, I'm looking for a shortcut, I used to have no problem doing it, but since the new changes on the site (which I absolutley love) I'm missing something.

P.S. I love the cowgirl pic, White Dove !!
