The unknown always seems so hard; they (doctors) can't help if they don't know what is wrong.
I haven't been on very often these days, but when I do come in, I gotta check things out with you because you've gone through so much...and of course I mean you and those close to you.
I'll be thinkin gof you even when I'm not around.

Aparently nobody cares here that much. Just my 2 cents worth as an old Cleveland fan, I've never cared much...partly because the Cavs came into being long after my pre TWI life in Ohio, but also because I could never stomach the time he showed up to an Indians-Yankees game in a Yankee cap.

If I were Francona I'd blow up every game . . .
Cliff Lee to the Rangers? . . .
Who cares? At least he won the Cy Young with my Indians.

I never thought I could make two posts on this FORUM (not just this thread) three weeks apart and not have anyone else post in between. Looks like the 9th corps people are petered out.
Still over a month, I had to resurrect them, it sure wasn't like this a few years ago. Maybe we all ARE getting to old.

Update. I asked her friends on another internet place, and they hadn't heard from her in a while, either. I did get her address and sent her a card telling her that we cared about her and were praying for her. Of course I'll let you know when I hear from her.
Thanks, Kit, I'll make sure I keep dropping in once in a while.

Like to read good news. On the firecrackers, I obviously don't live in the only city or place where being illegal doesn't stop people.
-
Nobody including me has to know anything, but as you have been keeping us up to date, I am hoping for good news; in any event still around sometimes.

Thinking of him and praying.
I sure don't personally know anyone in the film profession, although I know Kristen Skedgell's son is in filmmaking.

It can't be fun for anyone to go through this so much, but to me there is something about one of our young ones having such pain that seems to hurt more. With you.

I second Belle's icon....thinking of you both.

Not to my knowledge. You can keep up with Kristen at her blog: http://losingtheway.blogspot.com/
Yea, I second that. Kristen has been quite active on her blog this year so far, after having been busy with other things a lot of last year. I think people who have had bad experiences in TWI will benifit from reading her posts. I do, and my Way expereiences overall weren't very bad.

Her step daughter and I have been helping with the more practical stuff.
and a lot more I'm sure. :)

Just spoke to Kelly's doc and now that he has the correct lab results, he can see the alarming numbers on her White Blood Count and kidney function right after these episodes. The EEG report from yesterday hasn't been given him yet, but this white blood count information is crucial !
While it doesn't provide clear answers exactly it does point us in what might be a direction instead of sitting in the middle of many and hoping.
Means more tests, yes and sigh.............but maybe we can figure it out soon!
Not knowing can be hard of course. Another one still with you, and keep taking care of yourself.

I would have loved to seen LA's Wrigley Field. It was part of the fun of that 'Home Run Derby" show that was filmed in the late 50's.
When they closed off Angels Stadium, it became one of the ugliest parks in baseball. That open outfield with the big A was great.
Fortunately, the place had an amazing makeover when Disney owned it.(I'll never understand the rocks in center field, though).
I think, somewhere back on the depths of this thread, after I posted that about being at Wrigley Field in L.A., someone found and posted an old photo of it shortly after.

To various stimuli, yes. You got it.
So do I and scores of other psychologists. But, regardless of what you think of B.F. Skinner, operant conditioning (together with cognitive therapy) has been shown, both experimentally and in practice, to be the most effective method of learning new behaviors and extiguishing others.
Okay, I don't get it all but I certainly have no grounds (knowledge) to argue. Presumably that is not what others tried to do for (to) me in my deprogramming eons ago, because it didn't work very well. Thanks for responding.
Hi Billy, wow I"ve missed your face around here !
And what you said there, may I just simply say...........
I do think that us human beings do, in fact, react and while it's not always pretty and it can even be very messy, it's normal. I am learning lately that while I might react to something in that manner, I have got to stop and collect my self and do some painful "oh shi+" time and figure out why.
Hopefully I do that better and better all the time and even get it right once in awhile.
Well, if I find my face, I'll bring it here...
I have no argument with the idea that most things we do are a reaction. Even an author or composer working on something original is surely reacting in some way. But we can react with or without thinking, feeling, etc.

Happy Happy by the way !
So much has come and gone and been good and not so much since we last caught up; why don't we do better in staying in touch?
I know you pray for me and my babies even if I never see ya say it; I've never doubted that lovely fact and I so appreciate it.
Happy happy what? age? I don't hit the big one till late September. Though I have a different big one in late April.
I don't get to GS that often, I still have the same e-mail though. You could also see my posts on kristen's blog; she has suddenly gotten very bust with that again this year after most of last year off.
That sounds interesting, medically anyway. A treatment that works even though you don't know exactly what you're treating.

Anywa, I'm just waiting for another season of watching my Cleveland Indians battle for next to last place. Even Joe Nathan's injury won't make a difference to them.

I just read that Merlin Olsen has passed away.
I was always so impressed that a man of his football reputation could play such a tender person on Little House on the Prairie.
Many folks only know him as Jonathan on that old show that still runs in syndication. The man was one of the four defensive powerhouses on the Rams. He was pro-bowl 14 years and still holds the Rams record for most tackles. He was quite the athlete.
He is also known for his charitable work.
Geez, I am going to miss this guy. He was one of my favorite people.
Yea, I'll miss him too. I'm old enough to remember him well from his "fearsome foursome" days, and I certainly have seen him in his Little House role.

Moses (to be 25 later this month) was born with spina bifida and other problems and has spent more than his share of time in hospitals. He has been doing fairly well last two or three years but he went in the hospital Tuesday (4 1/2 days ago) with kidney problems, possibly failure. Tonight we had the ultimate scare, the "code blue", but he was brought back fairly quickly. Thanks for any prayers.
