    Comfort food

kosher chopped liver sandwich made with schmaltz, hard boiled egg, and chopped onion To me that would be better than Sudo's stew (no offence to you Sudo)
  5. I know for a fact that we are still welcome in the Caymans. They still want our money. I'd wait until at least Nov or Dec, though.
  6. Sounds about right Ham. Of course, when he was younger, he would have worked closely with the Priests while studying the scrolls to prepare for his Bar Mitzvah. Besides that, he would have had to study at the synogogue. There isn't anything actually written about those years, so anything would be conjecture.
  7. Just checked, you rent it on Netflix. Created by the great minds that concocted the Rocky & Bullwinkle show, Jay Ward and Bill Scott, "Fractured Flickers" takes esoteric and better-known silent movies featuring greats such as Charlie Chaplin and Douglas Fairbanks and uses them as the foundation for a most unusual homage. Catch all 26 episodes of this highly entertaining series, a must for film history buffs and viewers who feed on pop history.
  8. Now Ted, is that something to ask a "proper" southern lady?

    The Cone of Ophelia

I just talked to my daughter in Raliegh. (Yes, Ophelia has it out for both my daughters. 1st the one in Daytona, now in NC.) She said that right now, over there, it isn't very bad, just some of the feeder bands (she hopes the next one waits until she can pick her son up at the bus stop). The worst of the storm is forcast to hit there tomorrow. Her in-laws in Fayetteville are getting hit pretty hard right now. All schools were closed there. My prayers are out there for all that are in the path of the hurricane. (Only 2 1/2 more months until hurricane season is over!!)
  11. I can see not wanting to do Duluth in the winter, but what's the problem with Dallas in the summer?? Wouldn't that be about the same as Florida in the summer?
  12. This song is gonna be a big hit!! Can we all go to Nashville for this? Huh? After all, Nashville's just down the road a piece from Bama, my 2nd home (except it's cold in the winter). :)-->

    A Fat Cat

    Here kitty, kitty
  14. Sounds like one of my uncouth children. Can't take her anywhere. If you take her to a nice restaurant, she'll still eat with her fingers. Guess there must be some hillbilly on the other side of the family. -->
  15. Sounds like somebody needs an etiquette refresher class. ;)-->
  16. Not if you cut it with a fork and knife.
  17. Big difference. Coffee klatch is much more cassual. Don't forget the hats and gloves. Got to have those.
  18. Kathy I love that picture. But, then again being a southern lady, I would. BTW, the next high tea is scheduled for Oct 1, you coming?
  19. Kathy Not only removal but healing of the bruising. :)-->

    The Cone of Ophelia

Good thing I was in NC LAST week. You would have thought that I brought Ophelia with me from FL.
  21. According to the rules, he has to be a Greasespotter, unless there is something about Michael Brown that I don't know.
  22. Could that be Tennesee Tuxedo and Friends?
