why one earth and one new earth?

why heavens then new heavens

whats the diff between heaven and heavens?

Peter says there will be a new heavenS and earth

yet heaven is exclusively used elsewhere

19 times in the kjv new testament including the gospels heaven is used

over 200 heavens used

not saying that there is over 200 heavens though

but seems to me heaven has a special meaning

Deut 10:13To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? 14Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

certainly a distinction here

I think there is a distinction there. Some Bible scholars say there are three heavens: 1. The atmospheric heavens - that surrounds the earth. 2. The celestial heavens – the setting for the sun, moon, stars, planets, etc. 3. the heavenly realm – where God resides.

I believe the reference here in Deuteronomy 10:14 "the heaven of heavens" is of the third category – the spiritual realm. Some believe that is what Paul referred to by the "third heaven" in II Corinthians 12…I think so too – and also think there is a reference to it as well in

Ephesians 4:9,10 NIV

9 What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.

God first

Beloved cman

God loves us all my dear friend

its a very great subject that is dear to my heart

I see a fleshly heaven and a spiritual heaven

both with many layers

the spiritual heaven is inside and outside the fleshly heaven to me

then there is the heaven of outer darkness

first heaven the way God created it

second heaven what sin did to it

third heaven how Christ healed it

thank you

with love and a holy kiss blowing your way Roy
