I was watching the landing last night(well what they had of it anyway on CNN) with a friend who is the engineer who designed the robotic arm that will be digging into and analyzing the martian soil.
It was a very tense and exciting moment. Although the scientific experiments are a bit over my everyday concerns,It was really cool to have someone from the 'inside' to explain and answer my questions while it was landing. Its quite a project just to land something on Mars, never mind undertake the experiments it will be doing.
Im looking forward to more photos and findings as they become available.
The search for evidences of life apperently are going quite well
