Attempts to answer the question, "Why?"

"Why?" Why did wierwille do it?

1) Why patch together a cult-like organization that circumvents scripture on every turn

and brings focus, front-and-center, to a man wrapped in sin?

2) Why promote a doctrine of "righteousness and right living".....and yet, secretly live

in drunkenness, sexual predation, abuse and darkness of soul?

3) Why devise an organization to "move the Word".....and an inner-circle of yes-men

to cover and conceal the underbelly of deceptions and exploitations?

4) Why stand on stage and sing "He touched me...and oh, the joy that fills my soul"

and then, slither thru the late night hours on the motor coach sin-laden?

5) Why would wierwille, who trumpeted his commitment publically to the world,

admit as he neared death that he wished he'd lived more differently, more uprightly?

Perhaps......there is no justifiable answer to Why?

It just was.

Wierwille chose a career path that he was totally unsuited to fulfill.

Yet, its perks were recognition, adulation, ease, access, legacy, etc....

He wanted the perks of the job, but not the job of II Tim 2.

But....a man's gotta live and find a livelihood to pay the bills.

From what I've gathered, I think that culture and background of the wierwille family

played a huge role in vpee's decision to seek a pastorate. The German Reformed Church

in New Knoxville and Dr. Kunst, the most revered person in the community, had a

tremendous influence on young vic's growing narcissism.

Vic was unqualified, in heart and soul, to pursue the office of the clergy.

But.....he did it anyway. And, he did it in his own distinct way.

And, that's WHY it became a work of men and came to nought

[like Gamaliel noted in Acts 5:36].

It did not advance the true tenets of Christianity.

It did not bring glory to the Lord Above.

It was simply the works of man.

And....it failed.

That's why.

If PFAL was so dynamic.....

WHY was it a plagiarist-one-hit-wonder?

yeah, VP's one claim to "fame" may be PFAL in the minds of devoted fans; (PFAL = a hodge podge of material he stole from several sources and he added a hookie-pook magical/pontificating twist to boot) - but in my heart his signature work that overshadows even that is the complete screw-job (figuratively & literally) he did to the corps and staff.

...PFAL was not dynamic.

"dynamic" means energetic, capable of action and/or change, or forceful....rather PFAL was "static" meaning stationary or fixed. in other words you got nowhere with it! and God help the person who questioned anything in PFAL..... at PFAL 77 someone asked if that would replace the original PFAL class; the host on stage answered that by saying "did Paul need to re-write Ephesians?" yup - the mindset of TWI put PFAL on par with Scripture!

in contrast the English Standard Version of Hebrews 4:12 reads "For the word of God is living and active..." since i left TWI i think i have experienced more healing mentally, emotionally, socially, and even financially from reading the Bible and trying to live by its simple truths.
