In recent memory, the Seattle Mariners have been near the top of their division, and now, making the post-season regularly. I'm trying to think back whether they've been to the World Series yet or not? This year, they came close.
I don't think they made it to the World Series in their Griffey Jr. or Edgar Martinez period, so, I'm going with the Seattle Mariners.

Obviously, the long-running franchises have had many opportunities to make the World Series. Even the Cubs have done it at least three times. Still, even more recent franchises like Florida, Arizona, Toronto, etc., have made it. The Mariners, not yet.

Apparently, no takers. It's unlikely that you would just think of it, anyway.

Okay, then...
Which is the only current MLB franchise which has not yet been in a World Series?
