I can't get the chat either. But I think there is something wrong with my java. My computer dude is gonna check this out for me. I'm not sure what the hell is going on and neither is he.
B) NOT impressed with the new java (it is slow loading and behaves awkwardly
c) thinking about how I can dump this new java and go back to the old one.
Anyone know how to do that?
You should be able to get into the room with the OLD java, just some of the new chat features may not be available to you. They are not at all crucial to enjoying visits with us caffeinated chatroom junkies. Before clicking that stupid "upgrade now" button, the room worked fine except for getting the avatars (which are better than what we had-none-, but not all that inspiring.
I used to get into the *new chatroom* (with all the bells and whistles), but now since the new Java is required, it doesn't work for me.
I tried the *upgrade now* for Java, but I need more than my MacOS 9.2 to get it. Even the *classic Mac* upgrade won't work, so I can't join y'all until I get a different puter, or a different OS.
Hmmm -- lesseeeeeee. It's 8:45 pm. Sushi should be signing off right about now, and going upstairs where Abi has already signed off! :D
Am working on getting back in there.
The chat room is live GSCafe inter-active, and I miss it.
Ya learn more there by accident, than anywhere else by design.
