  1. Past hour
  2. Famous like in the first 2 categories, as in "we want him to star in our movie" level of stardom, as in "he played a starring role in the following movies" level of stardom. The director found he couldn't refuse this actor a role in the movie because he couldn't pass on the chance for this actor to be in the movie. (Due to the actor's level of stardom and so on, not because of the movie content or format or any other reason.)
  3. This show had a single episode with Desi Arnaz. Also appearing in the episode was Desi Arnaz Jr. In effect, he played Desi Arnaz in a few scenes. In the same episode, someone else briefly played Louis Armstrong ("Satchmo.")

  5. No. I thought this would be easy, but I doubt there are any quotes more familiar than these from THE PATRIOT. FREE POST!! George
  6. Fun fact: Chuck Wagner (Automan) performed the role of Jekyll/Hyde for the national tour of the 1997 Broadway musical. And he was really good.
  7. Help me out with this WordWolf, would this famous actor be an A-actor like a Matt Damon or, a Robert DeNiro or, a Harrison Ford, or a Paul Newman, or a Bruce Willis, or a B-actor like a Michael Caine or, a Robert Downey Jr. or, or, a Wilem Dafoe, or, a John Goodman or even, an A B-actor, like a Kevin Bacon or, a Dan Ackroyd or, a Michael Keaton or a John Travolta? Or even a C-actor like a Paul Giamatti?
  8. Thriller "There's a world where I can go and Tell my secrets to"
  9. This sounds familiar, but I don't know it. George
  10. It's been a while since I've heard this one. I haven't got that one on my jukebox.

    Tell it Ringo!
  12. OK, next movie. "You promised we could go and see the hanging." "Be sure it ain't your own." "Carry cash, at this time of night? All those thieves and robbers lurking in dark alleyways? I wouldn't dare."
  13. John Adams letter to Abigail -- July 3, 1776 (excerpt): "I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. -- I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. -- Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will triumph in that Days Transaction, even although We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not."
  14. "It's close to midnight, and something evil's lurking in the dark."
  15. When this movie hit theaters, one famous actor was notably missing from the credits. He wasn't in a starring role or anything, he just wanted to be in the movie. In fact, at first, it was hard to recognize him at all in his role. For the record, the early scripts didn't really have his role, but when the director found out he wanted in on the movie, he (the director) hastily added a scene just so he (the famous actor) could be in it.
  16. Am I the only one who remembers this? Now I'm so lonesome I could cry. No, really. That's the title. I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry. It's a Hank Williams tune but it's been covered hundreds of times. Take your pick: Elvis, Everly Brothers, Skeeter Davis, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash.... I think my favorite is BJ Thomas.
