P.S I'm not into arguing a position or doctrine. I just want to know what you think personally. Lord knows we have been discouraged from knowing this man that changed history. And the picture that was painted by TWI was so darn vague.

I'v wanted to post this Question for a while now. The more I read about the historical Jesus and ponder other scholarly writings (on the Gospels and New Teastiment), the more I am convined that Jesus Christ was a very special spiritual man but not the only begotten son of God.

Like other spiritual leaders he lived a message of love, compasion and wisdom. He was commited to his message to the very death. Do I believe he was raised from the dead? No!

I find tremedous contradictions in the BiBle, although I think that there are spiritual messages in it. I do not believe it literally. For me to take it literal would be intellectual suiside. This I did for 13 yrs.

So my question is "Who is Jesus" to you.

For me it wasn't what he said as how it was said. Just reminded me of a John Wayne/John Travata wanna be. Come across as sincere as JW but in tights, with a splash of Archie Bunker.

I went to the War Memorial and "The Wall" in honor of those that died in Viet Nam.

Standing at The Wall, I cried in my Army Dress Greens. I didn't know what 58,000 lives lost had ment till I looked at the vastness of that granite peice.

The names represented someones father, brother, uncle, son, relative and or friend. The site is beyound words.

In WW2, 16,000,000 served. I do not know how many died but you can rest assured there could never be a momument errected to diplay the fallen numbered of that war. Nor communicate the heroism and sacrifice that,that generation offered up in the name of freedom.

I might not agree with the politics at large or the reasonings for War, but I'm proud to be a Vet, having served with the finest of people who really love this country.

I thank God for the folks of WW2 who enabled me and the rest of the free world the opportunity to live peacfully. GOD BLESS WW2 VETS and their families.

I left because I could not be the leader they wanted me to be. It is not in my character to be confrontational, accusatory and vein popping mad. Besides after having seen the way my Corps sisters and brothers were treated by leadership, as well as my self, I could do no other.

TWI was sinking fast and I abandoned ship with a flotation device under my dress. Now "I WEAR THE PANTS IN THE FAMILY!" :D-->

When you stand as Leadership comes barreling down the ailes to teach for 1 1/2 hrs., and regretfully stand again when they exit, after your feet have fallen asleep.AAArrg!

When you used cloves as breath mints instead of tic-tacks. Because that is what leadership uses.

When V.Ps clone, Donny Fugi@, teaches the bible and you wish you could teach like him.

When you start smacking your lips at the end of a sentence or start saying leven instead of "eleven".

When Drambuie becomes your drink if choice.

When you have S.I.T for hours and your jaw is damn tired because you did it literally.

When you play SNS tapes while you sleep believing that osmosis works.

In responce to "why did you stay so long and why didn't you confront with the truth?"

I did confront my Corps cordinator. I said," I did not see in the BiBle or in the life of Christ ministry abusive handleing of conflict. At the time POP was out and "rouge" research papers were popping up everywhere. The Corps who read and spoke candidly of these issues were heavily repromanded or dismissed from the Corps. I was told I was spiritually immature and did not see the scope of the word concernig these issues. "BULLSHIP"

When I graduated the Corps, I asked my Area cordinator,"How the Bible can contradict itself concerning abortion?" He said if I had to ask a Question like that, then I should not be active Corps or in a leadership position.

After that I never sought out TWI fellowship. I posed the questions in all honesty and was made to fell there was something wrong with me for asking.

So this girl did ask questions and left.

Some leave sooner, some leave later. You just never know what is in the heart of an individual, or why people do what they do. But praise God we'er here and are on the rebound and/or choosing to take a different journey.
