  1. Great!!!! Wonderful!!!! Awesome!!!! Way to go Ms. Jen-o!
  2. Have a Happy Birthday, Tom. Many Blessings and joy for this year!
  3. The points in the body where the chakras are coincide with the 7 endocrine systems. These systems are very important to our health and the suggested Reiki hand postions cover the main chakras as well. Wow...a phone date...wouldn't that be fun.
  4. Growing up in Las Vegas we heard about Howard Hughes every now and then. He lived in a penthouse at The Desert Inn (if memory serves me) and he didn't want much to do with anyone else late in life due to his mental illness. He will be part of the richness of America's history with hollywood movies and flying history. I want to see this movie...By the way...Ocean's 12 was great!!!
  5. All right Valerie52...I lived in Vegas for 16 years! I left in 1975 for Denver with my parents... Cold weather ever since. I'm still not used to it.
  6. The volcano at the Mirage is really fun to watch. The Luxor is gorgeous and like Circus, Circus has entertainment that is free at certain times. The Luxor is modeled after a pyramid and has an egyptian motif if you didn't know. Cindy! I think it depends on your personal tastes what you want to see out there. The Excaliber has the mid-evil theme. I'm glad your not going in July. Talk about hot! It gets over 115 degrees in July. Have a good time and don't gamble more than you can afford to lose!
  7. Cindy, one thing I do sometimes when I'm really tired of being angry is do a burning pot. I have done this with my children and their friends. The supplies that you need are a fireproof container, epsom salts, and rubbing alcohol. For old wounds you have to be able to be willing to let them go. New anger as well. Write down everything that is bugging you and that you want to be better and more postive in your life. Put about a Tablespoon of epsom salts into the fireproof container (a coffee can will do) and then put about a Tablespoon of rubbing alcohol in the pot and then light it. Place paper in the pot. Imagine all those feelings and situations being purified and changed into something positive. You can also hold your hands towards the pot and imagine all the anger and negativity leaving your heart, mind, and body and being purified by the flames. I have also prayed for people that I have resentments for and while it was hard to do at first in the long run it was best for me to quit being ticked at them because it was disturbing my peace of mind. It goes in layers with the abuse and bad relationships in my life. When things start going good, my mind decides I'm strong enough to deal with stuff I buried from the past. Sometimes I ask myself if it's going to matter in a hundred years what is bothering me today. I feel very lucky right now because my home is not a battlefield right now. Peace in my home is really important to me.
  8. Happy Birthday Chuck! May this year bring much happiness and joy!
  9. Belle it would be great to talk to you about the movie. It is one that needs to be viewed more than once. It was playing in Omaha and a friend of mine suggested we go. It was very unusual how I happened to be at the right place and the right time to see the movie. I have not studied Ramtha in depth. I take what I like and leave the rest, especially when it comes to channeling. Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer have written some great books while channeling and they are written in a very postive way.
  10. When the movie first began and kept flipping back and forth I thought it would be awful to deal with all the scene changes. It's a movie that is designed to make you think. I don't think that the blonde was "channeling" a scientist. The power of our thoughts has been documented to really have an effect on our lives and actions as has the power of prayer on people, places, and situations. A negative attitude can make things so much worse than they really are. I like the animation they showed about what was going in the brain. When I start thinking negatively, I sometimes imagine the cute little pink guys getting knocked down by the negative thoughts. These ideas are not going to be for everyone. I am glad I took the time to see it.
  11. Onion Eater I stand corrected about the half a billion dollars from Japan...
  12. Colon Powell was on face the nation this morning and he said that 2 billion dollars so far as been pledged to help the different places that were effected by this disaster. Elephants have been brought to places where vehicles can't get through and India is helping Sri Lanka. Japan has pledged a half a million dollars to help. Helicopters that can come in from the ocean are going to really aid the places without a strong infrastucture because they can land without a big runway. The distribution of the supportive goods and services will be a challenge in some areas. Our government doesn't want to step on any toes of the countries that need help and hopefully everyone will work together. Thailand's people were very quick to step in and volunteer. It will take a lot of planning, people power, and money to bring much needed aid and assistance to this horrific disastor.
  13. "There's this thing called gravity, don't you know?!" with a heavy MN accent... LOL... Right back atcha dm!
  14. What I meant was express their thoughts on how they they thought things should be.
  15. Probably someone who saw an opportunity to "MARKET" their site or "the one way things should be" on the subject of dating.

  17. Hmm. WWJD has been demonstrated to be good for some of the posters here and others. I don't use it. I also don't say "What would the Goddess Do?" or "What would Ganesha do?" I think when people wear the jewelry and say the phrase they are usually wanting to emulate good character. I have heard another saying that I like more. "Behave as if the Divine/God/Goddess matters in everyone and everything" and that makes me think of behaving with respect and love towards all people. I like the song "We all come from the Goddess and to her we shall we return, like a drop of water flowing to the ocean..." however, I don't usually sing it in public. Makes me remember how connected we are to each other, the Earth, and Spirit/God/Goddess.
  18. This year was very special. Lots of food and the first time my daughter, Oak, and myself celebrated Christmas together. What took the stress out of Christmas for me this year was a little bit of planning and a good attitude. I actually enjoyed wrapping gifts and my daughter rearranged the living room so we had enough room to spread out a little. Last year was very nice, too. Went to a theatre to see "Return of the King" with Oak. "White Chicks" was watched on the VCR and it was pure mindless entertainment, this year.
  19. You make an excellent point. The thread came about as a result of talking and thinking about how far from the subject some of the titles can be and sometimes I don't look because I don't have time to open every one. Earlier I did post about everybody doing their own thing. It does take awhile to get the point of subjects at times. My papers for school expect me to go over the same subject in every way conceivable and that drives me nuts, however, it helps the clarity.
  20. :(-->Credit cards! Say good-bye to future earnings with them...
  21. To each his or own... Surprise us, wow us, be average, be silly, and just simply be...
  22. Geo, that sounds awful. Oak, my daughter, and I opened up our gifts and had a big, I do mean big, dinner on Christmas Eve. I didn't have to work on Friday and we shopped for our food on Wednesday night and the dinner went off with out a hitch. I almost burned up the crescent rolls, but caught them in time. I was able to prep up most of the food and Oak had prepared his famous crockpot chicken at my place the night before. My daughter helped me clean up Christmas eve and Oak caught the rest of it Christmas day. I have had some awful Christmas's in my day. I hope next year is better for you. My first Christmas without my 1st spouse and child was spent at my parents house and they were kind of enough to run me to an A. A. meeting. I had volunteered to share my story at a speaker meeting. It made all the difference in the world being able to give back and actually have my parents fly me home. The climate with them turned to ice later. In the past I have disliked big holidays, however, now that is changing. I'm very grateful that Oak doesn't travel with his job and I think it takes a VERY BIG person to be all right with a spouse taking a job that requires them to be away from home. Bright Blessings Geo!
  23. I love the book! Used to read it to my children. Books are ususally better than movies. However, glad we have movies. We watched "White Chicks" last night and that movie is a great laugh!
  24. Something I have noticed is that the titles of the discussion forums often do not make clear what the discussion topic is about. It would be helpful to me if the people who want to discuss something and start a thread would write titles that describe what they are writing about more clearly. Just a suggestion and not all titles are unclear. It's nice to be able to tell what something is about before you open and spend time reading it.
