  1. Thanks, RG. It is silver with dark gray interior.

It had 3,838 miles on it when we bought it last nite. Our insurance people were going nuts over it this morning when I took it by to show them!!!

It was owned by a man who has 10 car dealerships and several houses. He had forgotten about the car!!! While at one of his houses, he pulled the dust cover up and looked at the car and asked his caretaker whose car it was and he told him that it was HIS!!!! So he sent it to the dealership and we bought it!!!!!!!!! It still has the brand new smell though it is a 2000!!!!!!!!

God is still good even to this little spot of grease!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Thanks Acts2 - but that was a song that a friend requested so I can't take credit. Like I said, I have some good taste in music - but I have better taste in friends.

    Hey, dooj,

    Whatever it takes, huh????!!!!

Anyway, keep up the good work.

Can't wait to get started on posting my videos on youtube.

  3. RG,

Thanks to you I learned how to YouTube!!!

Thanks for the compliment. We had the top down on the hotrod so I had to put my hair back and I rarely have my hair back.

I have Pinnacle Studios and will download the videos to Pinnacle and then somehow put them on YouTube. (It may take a while for me to finish it as I am having Mother's Day at my house with about 35 or so of family coming.)

What is it that you want to know how to do???

  4. Thanks to each of you. I will find out from Mike if it will be put in the archives.

It was a great interview. I could not believe that it lasted for an hour between songs and advertisements, of course.

  5. dooj, I loved the Angel Band with Vestal and George. My hubby is a big gospel music lover and will enjoy it tonite.

Ok, I got the approval from Bill H@ney himself to put the videos I made of him on YouTube, plus hubby and I had our own concert that he put on for us at his office Friday afternoon. Later we put took pictures out by hubby's red hot rod, a Mazda Miata.

    We had a blast!!

  6. Kathy, I showed hubby your nephew's bikes. He was impressed.

OK, I need your prayers!!! I am in a raffle (drawing July 3) for a guitar signed by George Strait......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are only 1000 tickets but the lady said she didn't think that many would be sold.....I want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Yeah, it was Eddie. I thought it would just be a few minute but it was the whole hour. By the time I realized it and posted, it was almost over.

Anyway, we called him as he was on his way back home and told him that we enjoyed the interview.

  8. when I worked at a hospital in Dallas, one of our female single radiologists used to keep he bullseye (with very accurate shots) just inside the front door window for all to see.

When we lived in Memphis, I had my target practice sheet taped to my back door leading to our garage. My nephew (big hunter) came down and could not believe that I had it on the door!!!

We also had a security system even though we lived in an exclusive area.

I am so glad to be back in my quiet little hometown!!

  9. Hey, RG,

I love Sweet Home Alabama. I lived there for 18 months in 1991-1992.

Kathy, we are heading to AR to see our little Sarah Jane play soccer in Jonesboro this weekend. I will think of you while you are driving and traveling. We are also going to W. Memphis and have dinner with some of our friends Friday nite. I hope to get there in time to see Bill H@ney and get a big hug from him!!!!!!!!!

    Anyway, keep on posting!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Too much music, too little time.

Hubby watches the Wilburn Brothers on RFD-TV!!! He will get a kick out of those videos.

    Yeah,dooj, on Amazing Grace!!!

    Have a super day, y'all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waterbuffalo, Mike is my niece's hubby not mine!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, he is very talented, and YES, please bring down the Martin. Hubby has 3 guitars and picks at them some but he doesnt have the patience to practice.

polar bear, did my post about the bluegrass shows get lost in all these videos? I think it is the last post on page 9.

Would be a blast if all you could come!!!!!!!!!!!

edited to correct page # and add dooj's name!!

  11. Hey, Chatty girl,

Go to my post and check out all the musicians that will be in my hometown and O'boro.

polar bear, both are great fun, but ours is FREE !!!

RG, I posted the low carb pizza in the kitchen thread just for you. Hubby said it was delicious.

  12. [Act2-Thanks for the Steve Holly tune. He is great. Love Allan Jackson-did he do "It's 5 Oclock Somewhere"? I played that at a music gig last week and folks went nuts over it.

Let me know when your bluegrass festival is and we might come down. I love that stuff.

polar bear, our free bluegrass festival is in August. The ROMP festival in Owensboro is in June, I think. I will look up the exact dates and post later. Also, it is Steve HOLY, yes, as in holy, holy, holy !!!!

And yes, Alan Jackson does 'it's 5 oclock somewhere' and I bet the crowd went nuts!!!

Here is Alan singing at the Grand Ole Opry last month.

Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival

Get Ready for the 22nd Annual Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival !

We are pleased to announce that Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 9 - 11, 2007, in Audubon Mill Park, Henderson, Kentucky.

This will mark the 22nd annual festival which is hosted by the Henderson Area Arts Alliance and the Henderson Rotary Club.

The festival will feature great Bluegrass music, wonderful food, an incredible location - right on the banks of the Ohio River - folklife exhibitors, children's activities, a tennis tournament, a bicycle tour, and much, much more.

Best of all, there is no admission charge! That’s right – all you have to do to be thoroughly entertained is “show up.” Bring your lawn chairs or your blanket – we’re not much on formality – then be prepared to be entertained by some of the most preeminent Bluegrass bands you will ever have the pleasure to hear. Bluegrass music and the smell of great food saturate the air on Friday and Saturday (August 10-11), but………

There’s more! On Thursday night, August 9, join us for our kickoff event -- Fiesta in the Park. You’ll hear some great Texas Swing, in the fashion of Bob Wills - pick a partner and dance the two-step! And you’ll get a smattering of the exciting sounds of authentic Mexican Mariachi music. To top it off, there will be a delicious Tex-Mex BBQ with all the trimmings!

    Not enough? Well, how about……

Fascinating Kentucky Folklife displays, artisans, luthiers, activities, lectures, and musicians on Saturday morning.

Breakfast in the Park on Saturday morning.

The Pickin & Pedalin Bicycle Tour on Saturday.

Children’s activities Thursday evening and again Saturday morning.

    Bluegrass Hat Tennis Tournament.

Mark your calendar! Plan your trip! You won't find a better Bluegrass event anywhere, and you sure can't beat our price.

We invite you to Henderson, Kentucky to experience and enjoy it all with us! See you here!
