Interesting subject Oak. Has anyone here or any one had any encounters with witches ? And if so what was your experience ? I had one experience which was quite unsettling and happened in a local tavern right after I got into TWI. Seemed people in my fellowship thought witnessing in the bars was a great way to get people in PFAL. Me in my new found arrogant spiritual zeal was down with that ! lol Anyway I remeber once running into a girl who I had known from the neighborhood who had a reputation for being quite loose & crazy if you know what I mean ? lol She was beautiful and we struck up a conversation talkin about the good old days ! Anyway she shared with me that she was now a witch and seemed to be challenging my new spiritual wisdom. Being the zealous fool I was then and for many years after I greatly underestimated her relam of spirituality but did recognize & somewhat respect the power it represented. As she shared about her secret meetings of darkness I found myself quite intrigued until she told me that she was chanting my name at these meetings ! Freaked me out but didn't let her know that just put on a bold counterfeit TWI face as we talked but it did awken me big time to my own spiritual realm & God did show me it was an area not too mess with and to use wisdom instead of cockiness. Your post kind of stirred up that memory from long ago and find it interesting to say the least. I remember too having an American Indian family that lived next door when I was a WOW. He shared some facinating aspects on medicine men in his tribe. He had these small burlap pouches he had rec'd from his medicine man which I asked about which started the sharing. So thanks for the info & others it's great learning to the end for me to really see where I am at with my own spirituality & I am thankful I do have somewhat of an answer in my believing God & believing what I can prove in my own life , even if it is just a little trickle sometimes !

Jane was a sweety & so was the rest of her family. My wife & I knew them well at one time & do tell her hi for us. Just tell her Doug & Ei say hey & wish the best for her ! Tell her too she can e-mail me at _doug44@excite.com to talk about the good ol days & have a laugh or two ! We had some fun times in her hometown that became a place where we were touched by some very special people. Tell her too that it was almost 25 years ago my wife & I exchanged wedding vows at the Plummer House !

Gee I learned some new enlightning information on this frank discussion of sex & haven't had so much to consider on the subject since the time I took the "Christian Family & Sex Class" back in 1975 as a WOW. I now can add water balloons in my tub and see what I have been missing ! I would have never considered that and just might be curious enough to try that one !

Anyone at that meeting know or have a audio recording of that meeting ? I would pay someone for it just so I could have a historical record of the damage a counterfeit man of God can inflict and maybe even send it to LCM (any sightings of him ? )Maybe it would spur him to issue a public apology for his mean spirited behavior of the past. I have gotten over my bitterness I think toward him but it would be something if he ever stepped up to the plate & issue a public apology. This site would be a wonderful place to start. In the long run I guess it's between him & God so I won't hold my breath ! At least it hasn't caused as Elvis sings about a "Blue Blue Christmas's. Anyone here going to any New Years Advances ? It seems very interesting to me that TWI & JP's points of view are being aired out on greasespot. The father of JP has been ripped good on here which I wonder what he really thinks of that. It's gotta hurt whether it's justified or not & now TWI cares what we ex-wayfers think ? I think that what keeps me coming back to this site. So much drama ! By the way (no pun intended !) Just my opinion for the "talk radio" of ex wayfers ! I love this site !

I found an anniversary plate in my garage. It has that lovely TWI logo. Wonder how much that would bring on e-bay ? Anyone want it ? YOU Could play a risky game of frisbee with it ! I'm sure if it broke you would get over it !!!

Mike, Maybe if TWI would just publicly issue an apology for all the sexual abuse that went on in their organazation or if LCM would do that, it would at least show some sign of remorse but they & other people like you just want people to forget about it ? LCM was sent away & to my knowledge I have never heard of any official apology. It would cost them millions & we know now at least some of us who are no longer in denial that TWI was & still is full of villains at the the top so we don't have to look for them. I wanted to say too that your "cheap shot" comment to someone on here about writing their respone from prison was quite impressive ! Good thing TWI never had you do any prison outreach ! Just my opinion ok !

I wanted to let you know the porn video being shown at that camp did indeed happen. I only posted this because this jogged my memory of that class. I took the video class in 75 with my WOW branch & there was obviously no porn in that one so it was probally the one & only time VPW ever showed it & I am sure he was probally advised never to show it again. I talked to the person who took the class after my posting & it was shown as an example for one of the sessions on what was being taught. This person was indeed a teen at the time & this person did tell me what I had wrong in my post is that it was played long enough that this person just walked out of the session & it's contents involved 2 lesbians with the dog. This was when TWI was in it's early years. I wonder if the teenagers at that camp ever told any of their parents about it ! The person I met had a Mom who hated the ministry & she would never have dared told her ! Like Elvis I can't just rip VPW . The people who were in his inner circle I feel are even worse for not having the backbone to confront him like Ralph did. I guess you could say I was evil then too but I just got sucked in like everyone at the time that you never question a "Man of God"

I do know VPW taught a live Christian Family & Sex class in lower NY. He showed a clip of a porn at it called "DOG Day Afternoon" Well need I say what it was about ?! I was shocked when I first heard this and it was used as an example to demonstrate how the devil perverted the beauty of sex. I think it was in the early 70's & it was much to much for the students at this camp where they met . It really freaked some of the students so it was never repeated again. Are there any early day wayfers who were there ? I remebered that reading this thread & the person I know that took it was a teenager at the time ! Anyone here ever hear about this. I don't think I would want this ask this person now to recall that memoery so I'll you my friends on the "talk radio of ex-wayfers' to comment! I better "renew my mind" so I can get this posting out of my head now !!!!!!
