Partial Quote.  I disagree.  Computer programs are purely an extension of the human will.  At Least in my opinion.  Of course the program has to adhere to logic to run..  We may call it Artificial Intelligence, but (in my opinion) it is unbridled human intelligence in action.

Some of the Hippies were tired of being Enlightened.  Worn out.  Done.  I think that, they were looking for an easy way out of all of this..

Despite claims otherwise, they decided that they did not want to be family.

In my case I think the Way left me.

In other words.  You claim it can be lost.  How do you think that you gained it to begin with?  I read a passage in Ezekiel last night.. Ezekiel 21:3,4.  In a sense.. the righteous enable the wicked here.. and both are to be cut off.  Well.. just saying.  What do you think?

A simpler (yet related to the current question) might be, can Salvation be Gained. 

A personal thought- only God Almighty can revive the "glory years".. whatever they are. I personally would not even try to.

1.  They were NOT glory years.

2. Usually they were not Glory Years, they were Stolen Years. Missed wealth, missed opportunity.. 

Something in the old testament comes to mind.

The sad thing was that 4 crucified was ancient news, even if true.

Nothing new here, move along.. same for 3 days and three nights, etc. etc.  I would say, what's the relevance?  In a Practical sense.  What do you think that I should do differently, if Jesus is God or not, or if there are a 4 + 1 crucified or 2+1 = 3.. should I love God or my neighbor any differently?

In a weird way.. I feel that I have escaped the clutches of some God forsaken cult, only to be greeted by open or not so open arms into another far more insidious.  At least I learned the rules, or the lack thereof, from the former one..

I believe.. my daughter lost a few.  They reinforced the pen and the hens have been safe over the summer.  Your venue probably has a few more predators..

To each project there is a learning curve, that learning curve pushed us in the direction of doing 12-week meat birds, then they go to freezer camp. For 12-weeks each year we maintain chickens, and that gives us enough chicken to eat for a year.

Since we live in dense forest, the predators are fierce. We have tried many times to allow chickens to free-range, but those efforts have never been successful. We can keep poultry inside coops just fine, but if they get out, it attracts predators and once that happens the predators hit so hard that they dig tunnels under the coops, they chew holes through the chicken wire to gain access into the coops, and they become relentless until after all chickens have been eaten. It is less work to just raise chickens for a short period of time and send them to the freezers. 

 

We have done much better raising pigs.

 

I would free range the chickens in the day and lock them up at night.  Hens of course.  Fresh eggs are nice.  Plus they tend to hunt ticks to practical extinction..

Commitment to witness 48 hours a week?  I dunno.  My wow brother.  He met his soul mate here.. and the (expletives that will be deleted) decided his "commitment" superseded  Gods Will.. tried to dump her in the middle of the year, to "move the word"  I raised Holy Hell.  They got back together towards the end of the year..

I can't say that I ever actually met him.  Maybe I met the persona a couple of times..  perhaps his legacy is a few off the beaten path books that I do not have in my library.

Dead Cult Leaders, hmmmm.  Well, I supposed they are supposed to be like the last few Jedi, just dissolve into the Force, no final expenses incurred by the followers.  No burial or cremation necessary.  No memorial either.

Good For You.  All I run at the moment from Solar are the radios and the lights.  Do you have chickens? 

Galen, you are living my dream of dreams..  I would move off to the woods, grow tomatos and raise chickens in a heartbeat.  Run the radios and such from solar panels..
