  1. There is an age difference. Not too much.. maybe 12 years? I'm not sure. But considering health choices.. over a hundred pounds overweight.. smokes lotsa tobacco.. vs. a 12 year later.. I don't smoke. Tobacco, anyway.. and even that, maybe three times a year. The non-tobacco version, that is. I aerobically exercise about 4 to 5 times a week.. my only real big fault is red wine. I like it.. a *tad* on the side of too much. yeah, we will reincarnate about the same time. If that's how the universe really works, anyway.. Mawedge? Maybe then, who knows.. if that's how the universe works, anyway..
  2. I met a Soul Mate once. Absolutely, positively NUTS. As in Kwazy. Out of their gourd. A deck missing a few cards.. a frigging lunatic. I'm sure the description (aptly) reciprocates. Maye this time around we needed some kind of vacation from each other..
  3. Mawedge.. a dweam within a dweam.. sowy.
  4. If this ever helps somebody.. the only files you need from the setup disk are in the root.. which includes setup.exe and a few other files and programs, and the directories win98 and drivers (with their contents). don't need the cdsamples or oldmsdos directories.. but you will find what you need to initially set up the hard drive in oldmsdos. There is fdisk and format. And xcopy- makes it far easier to copy the setup files to the hard drive..
  5. so.. with this wonderful setup disk, it doesn't matter if one installed a cdrom system file. when the setup restarts the system, it remarks out any cdrom drivers in config.sys and autoexec.bat. then it can't find the rest of the files on the cdrom. so the easiest solution is to copy all setup files to a physical drive that is actually present: drive c. At least the setup program is well behaved. It will look for files in the same directory it started from, after the reboot.
  6. Now I copy the entire setup disk from the cd rom because I very well know from previous experience, that if I set it up through the cd, the cd driver will NOT be installed. So the rest of the installation will not be worth a crap..
  7. The only thing lacking here is elevator music. Why am I formatting an old hard drive with an old system, you ask.. well.. eventually. It will hold a (legitimate) copy of win 2000. why an old hard drive, an old computer, and an old operating system, you ask... Mainly because I haven't found any scanning software worth a damn. The very best and quickest seems to be something from HP that runs on software that runs best on win 2000.. well, the fastest anyway. There is probably commercial software that does far better..
  8. a 75 million dollar flop. How much does twi have in the bank? Last count about 37 million? I'd call it a 37 million dollar flop.. now all they have is the few assurances of uncertain riches. i.e. not worth a *darn*. Like waiting for social security or something.. Hollywood's wasted more money on a flop than they will EVER be worth..
  9. The only thing here has been some rather sketchy details in the prayer forum.

    Lost Time

Los time.. I dunno. Every decade I've been something different.. The way (incorporated and copyrighted) did not steal that from me.. well.. I just wish they would graciously assume the bill. Christ.aren't------------------------------------------ they good for something?

She looks too much like Belle..

    Song of the moment

More than nixed the idea. She married the drum player, did she not? April's s work still haunts me, in a good way.. she had to be good people, so to speak, didn't she?

    Song of the moment

Yeah.. so did April. April broke out of music and did art.. Ha! It's been a long strange trip.. She (?) graduated in what.. 1961.. probably ingested better drugs than I've ever seen.. The Sowers need to adopt her anthem here.. so lord, come into my heart, and make a better sower out of me.. I try to be a better sower every day..

    Song of the moment

The common factor here is Hendrix. Randy California would have followed him, wherever, if he was of age at the time.. April learned from Hendrix as well.. Hendrix is hard to listen to.. until you find songs like "Mary".. or even Hey Joe.. This one is as well "comfortable" on the down side of a long, strange, trip.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rezb626N_iE

    Song of the moment

besides all of the technical wizardry. This was one of the few songs April sang lead vocal.. Nature's Way. Then there was the rest of the album..

    Song of the moment

This is the kind of a song.. that is very comfortable listening to, after a long, strange, trip. :) I've only had another one like that.. another song, that is.. allright.. I'll take the hint.. heh..

    Song of the moment

I bought album number one on the site. The first album. The second one Mitch Mitchell had already left the group.. April seemed to collaberate a lot with Tommy Sullivan. Then there was the producer.. Tom Dowd. he was a nuclear scientist.. he already knew more nuclear chemistry and physics than almost anyone else.. but the universities wanted him to go back to school.. I think his technical expertise was better served with the music he produced.. Thanks Waysider, you're a genius.. :)

    Song of the moment

I can't post the song directly from this site: http://www.aprillawton.com/RamatamAudio.html On the second album, about half-way through the play list "Bounty on my table".. I think the site is safe. At least Norton tells me so.. :)
  20. The loved ones and close ones have never approached me.. they've already done as much as they can do. At least as with regards to me.
  21. Loved ones, as in family and very close friends, no. Others, yes. I've had a couple approach me with requests for closure of sorts, on their way out of this existence.. but it was in a dream.
  22. Hey! If the sewers can have a festival, of sorts, anyway.. why can't the Greasespotters? you know. A GS.. what do you call it.. I mean.. before the economy entirely tanks, and travel will be expensive, and generally prohibited.. or impossible. ah.. another wienie roast? Before we would have to proceed on a long path by foot? Just a thought. I would like a roast.. somewhere. three days of unbridled sex, drugs, and rock and roll.. oops.. already happened. sowy, I missed it..
  23. Maybe.. with the "president" having the right name and right (wrong) pedigree, this gives the group performance rights, not publishing rights. I dunno. Maybe performance rights can be inherited, or conferred.. then again, maybe they are giving rosie a cut of the proceeds.. who knows.
  24. Yep.. I have meters, oscilloscopes.. eight and fifty ohm dummy loads.. The instruments work better on old Fender amps and such than human beings..
