Yeah, no excrement, Mister P, I get to do this at my job too. The sad thing about it is, I belong to a UNION (I have yet to come across a union that was worth a damn). I work for a trucking co. which delivers parts for one of the world's largest car manufacturers. If every single driver would walk out just for one day, I'm sure the mfr. would have someone at my co. telling them to get us back to work. Unfortunately, there are some people who are so afraid of losing their jobs, they would probably cross the picket line, and the rest of us would be out in the cold. The other side of it is, a union is only as strong as the people involved (at least to a certain extent). In the past, I will admit to not having been an active member. From what I heard, the union meetings were not so much about improving OUR lot as the people in charge. The meetings have also involved the throwing of physical punches. However, you can bet the house I will be at the next meeting. It may not do any good, but at least my lower sphincter will get some relief by bitching about it.

Yeah, this is like getting your friends to bet on a videotaped football game, only not quite as funny.

I no longer believe it is my responsibility to judge other people by their beliefs. I am firmly of the belief that whatever gets you through the long, dark, night, is fine with me. However, when their actions hurt someone else, there is a problem.

But one thing I have read, which I thought was interesting, and sort of fits with this topic, was our bodies were specifically designed and chosen for us and we are to learn from them and learn to become comfortable in them. Hmmmm, trying to find a way to explain this - ok a somewhat simplistic view The woman who is beautiful may feel uncomfortable with her body because she feels people aren't interested in the inner her - i.e. men want her because of her beauty not because of who she is and women envy her because of her beauty and never take the time to know her. An unattractive woman in uncomfortable in her body because she feels her appears turns men off so they never take the time to know the inner her, etc. So, one of the lessons we are to learn in this life is how to love ourselves, which includes our bodies, just as they are.

Just as an aside, Hope, your very own Manofathousandscreennames got to sing with Christine ON STAGE, the last time she was in MI. It was for the "Sensitive New Age Guys" song.:D-->

I'd have to agree with George on this one. Murder in the First was a much better movie.

I saw Jackson Browne last year in Detroit. Great show. There are only a couple of more concerts I would like to see. I want to see Tom Waits (in a small venue) and Jackson Browne on his solo acoustic tour. I would be willing to go about 150 for Jackson Browne and about a hundred for Tom Waits.

Well, Oak, maybe it's not unlike Schroedinger's cat. Until you open the box, (i.e., die) you won't know if you were right or not. And, until you open the box, your beliefs are right and wrong at the same time :D-->

And have a much better chance supporting our families, etc.
