  1. Something, something, something, snowball's chance in hell, something.
  2. "All nine, all the time." Except Wierwille... he just studied a lot. I mean, when he didn't have his hand in Daddy's cookie jar, of course.
  3. It's difficult to draw cultural parallels between Japan and the United States. Japanese culture relies heavily on honorifics and hierarchical social structuring. I'm sure this would play a major role in how such programs would be implemented and how they would ultimately affect society in general.
  4. "I just reach up in Daddy's cookie jar".......VPW
  5. I'm not playing "gotcha". You're blowing smoke with this lame explanation. You're quoting from page 10, item #4 from the Advanced Class syllabus. (Keys To Walking In The Spirit.) On that same page, immediately preceding the section you used is key #3. 3. Speaking in tongues daily is prerequisite to revelation. II Corinthians 4:16 Refresh my memory. When did Wierwille say he first spoke in tongues? I'm thinking it was quite a few years after he claimed to have received revelation via the 1942 promise. But, how can that be if we are to accept item #3 as being correct?
  6. I'm not interested in your revisionist editing after being called out. Either you said it or you didn't. Which is it?
  7. Please do. You posted this on the previous page, 6 hrs. ago.
  8. It's a subset of gaslighting known as gas pumping.
  9. Here's what you said: "The only way to get God's interpretation is via a direct intervention by The Author." Did you say it or didn't you? "
  10. So, why even bother with the keys to research or any of the other class materials if the only way to truly understand scripture is via revelation? Let's just state the obvious here. The snowstorm/1942 promise is a fabrication. All the physical evidence clearly disputes the possibility of it being true. There is no evidence to support the claim. The only other option I can see (there may be others.) is that VPW experienced phenomenon. This, in itself, is problematic as Wierwille stated, in the Advanced Class, that a.) You can't ask God for signs. b.) God will only give phenomenon to unbelievers or believers that are so far out of fellowship they can't receive revelation. I would think that someone who has supposedly spent the last 50 years mastering Wierwille's material would have stumbled on this discrepancy by now.
  11. Words Of Wisdom: "Some stuff is good unless it's bad."
  12. TVTs. Yeah, let's blame it all on verbal communications. If verbal communications weren't an integral part of The Way, why did we even need twig meetings? Just hand everybody a set of collaterals and send them on their way.
  13. Apples and oranges, Mike. An understudy is a person (noun), whereas, method acting is a process (verb).
  14. An ambassador is someone who functions as a representative, not as a duplicate.
  15. I listened to it on audio book a couple years ago. That adds a whole other dimension and breaths a new life into it.
  16. Yeah, but there were gas pumps and stuff so it has to be true...right?
  17. TWI's version was more like the sycophant life.
  18. As I understand it, there are three basic components that must be combined to succeed as a method actor. First, one must adapt to the psychology of the character. At the same time, one must consider the sociological impact of the character. Lastly, one's behavioral characteristics must reflect the first two items. Granted, this is only my own interpretation of how the process works. As an advocate of method acting, VPW failed miserably, especially on item #2.
  19. Method acting. That's what's being promoted as "Christ's eyes behind your eyes" type thinking. Where in the scriptures is it referenced that people should be method actors? Stanslavski wept.
  20. Just my opinion here. Introducing meta discussions of conspiracy theory is a bit too far off the beaten path of this particular topic.

    So, any way...

Hey, Seth. Good to hear from you again. Like the saying goes, "Don't be stranger." Or, was that "Don't be a stranger"? Anyhow, good to see you again.
  22. "Ya better watch out. Ya better not cry. Ya better not pout. I'm tellin' you why........."
  23. Once you discover Santa Claus isn't real, you can't ever make yourself believe again, no matter how hard you try. Some people choose, instead, to ignore reality and refuse to believe he isn't real.
  24. It's been discussed here many times.
