  1. I only know of one leader that did time for some type of extortion. Not sure of the details, I think he was in Good Seed, way back when.
  2. I am looking for photos of leadership in TWI. Preferably photos from the past 2-4 years. From Board of Directors; Staff; Region and Limb leaders. Photos of meetings, gatherings. You can email them to greasespot@gmail.com. I'd be happy to blur out any faces for you or crop them for you. Thanks.
  3. Saturday will mark the 11th Anniversary of GreaseSpot Cafe. I was trying to think of something different to do this year. So what I did is set up a Google Voice Number. You can leave an anniversary greeting or shout out to GSC. I will take all the messages and put them online this weekend. If you prefer, you can attach an audio file and email it to greasespot@gmail.com. I may do it like a radio show or something. I wanted it to be a memorable number so I picked the 419 area code ;) 419-595-0GSC (419-595-0472)

  6. Moneyhands did go on LEAD, when it was run by Wierwille's Son in Law, John Somerville. Apparently Wierwille met with Somerville and devised a scenario where all the leaders would be taken captive and interrogated until they broke. None of the leaders made it through. I know that Moneyhands was one of them.
  7. I don't usually look at poll results, so never saw that view thing. I just disabled it.
  8. Socks, I know that there is a mechanism that doesn't allow people to vote twice. So there is something in the DB that tracks that stuff. It would take more work than I am ever willing to do to match the numbers or code and match them up with users. That said, the only way to see the votes by individual would be if I did SQL queries on the database. I haven't got the time to even figure out how to do that.
  9. Socks, where are you seeing name? These polls don't show names, unless there was a memo that I didn't get.
  10. I googled my name and apparently someone went and named a city after me.
  11. Hayes Gahagan contacted me and asked that I post this for him. The GSC website comes up when you do a search for him. My involvement with The Way Ministry began in 1974 and ended quite abruptly in 1978, almost within hours after I had the privilege of running and losing a campaign as an Independent Conservative for the U.S. Senate. No matter what anyone may say for better or worse about The Way Ministry or Hayes Gahagan, the fact is that our gracious Lord and Savior used a PFAL grad to reach out and touch a wretch like me with the Word of Salvation. For this, I shall be eternally grateful. 2. Request For any of your visitors who may be interested, please refer them to hayesgahagan.wordpress.com for my testimony and other information about my life and family. Sincerely Hayes Gahagan
  12. They used to have special license plates with mr Potato Head.
  13. Mystic is also the home to Mystic Pizza, the location for the Julia Roberts movie of the same name. Warwick has a Clam place called Iggy's Chowder. Right on the water. It in the Oakland Beach area. There is a really nice restaurant next door built on stilts with a gorgeous view of the Bay. Not too far away from that is Warwick Neck. A few nice homes. At the end is the Aldrich Mansion, massive and beautiful. (It was the mansion in Meet John Black with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins) Newport has many famous mansions. Great day trip, even better if you like to walk a lot. Providence is home to many things, including the world's widest bridge. Plenty of great music. On the East Side is Brown University and Thayer St. Lots of restaurants and that always Collegiate feel. Great for people watching. Further on is Blackstone Blvd. If you like cemeteries , Swan Point is home to the likes of HP Lovecraft. (I've heard that it is a great place late at night with wine and special smoke, so Ive heard) And of course, no tour of RI would be complete without going to Pawtucket, Home of the World's longest baseball game, Home of Mr. Potato Head, and Home of the old Slater Mill, one of the first Textile mills, powered by the Pawtucket river.
  14. Some others in the exway community got an email from "him" This is the one that I got.
  15. Well there are folks looking for a politics forum, why don't you start one?
  16. https://twitter.com/#!/lcmartindale
  17. One of the best pranks that I pulled was in 2002. I posed as a hacker and wrote in "Hackerese" that I had taken over the site. Shut down part of the site. That night I was going to Paul McCartney for the first time. I checked the site and there wasn't much reaction to the joke, so I didn't restore the site, figuring everyone knew it was a joke. When I checked back a few hours later, total chaos. Poor Steve! took the whole thing seriously. I had phone calls and emails waiting for me. The next year, I had written an article explaining that twi had bought GSC and we were now a subsidiary of twi. Even redid the logo for the day. But decided not to publish it.
  18. I am staying open. The forums will stay open. Although I will probably condense the number of forums. Some of them are not used very often.
  19. One of the final reasons for wanting to shut down was relevance. Most of the detractors said that the material on the site wasn't relevant. Including the lawsuit guy. Well I made the dumb mistake of asking someone that left recently if it was having an effect. Well, I didn't get the answer that I was expecting. It was having an effect and not just a little. Suddenly my most important reason was drying up. And I didn't like it. So I looked through all of the forums and realized that most of the problems were being caused by just a few forums. Forums that I never wanted to begin with, but did it to appease. So the first step was to let all that are in those forums that I am pulling the switch on them. (Actually I am not doing, one moderator really wants to be the one to shut the lights out on it) I've been accused of many things in this past decade about the forums as I mentioned earlier. My goal was to make the forums a place to discuss. I've watched people defend twi to high heaven when they have just started to post and over a period of time, they have that "AHA" moment. I've seen very hurt people get answers that get them on the road to healing. Sometimes it is a difficult road, but it's a joy to see them come through on the other side. I have always done my best to let people take that road freely. And I will take issue with anyone trying to hamper that journey. I will be soliciting material from those that left recently to update the front of the site. I am going to revamp the site to help serve that purpose. We will have some kind of celebration on the anniversary of THE, which is the same day as the anniversary of GSC. There might even be a live show on the internet that day, who knows. I want to also apologize to LindaZ, who wanted to put down money that I wouldn't close, sorry. I will announce more this month.
  20. I guess I should post this today. I had a bunch of reasons for shutting this down. I spoke with many people, some know about GSC some don't. Hard to find anyone that knows what this thing entails. There have only been a handful of sites like this on the internet. I was tired of the infighting. I'd get wonderful people to help moderate the site and almost everything they did was met with very harsh criticism. We are "censoring"; "taking away our rights"; "you are just as bad as the WayGB" and on and on. I watched as some my dear friends would get beat up night after night. That was one of the main reasons for closing the site. Another was time. Quite honestly, if it hadn't been for these friends, GSC would have closed years ago. I was done. But they took over when I could not anymore. Another was a series of very disturbing emails that I got from an ex-friend. Threatening to sue me for this site. It was very disturbing, particularly when I found out that he was cc:ing TWI on the emails. Another was money. I was getting help from another dear friend, hoping that the situation would improve, but it didn't. In the past few months, I've gotten many emails of understanding and thanks and lots of other things.
  21. johniam, I am talking about your behavior starting to get more like when you got booted before. Being antagonistic. Being at all the arguments.
  22. johniam, If you are going to incite, like you did before, then your welcome will wear thin quickly. We are not in grade school, He/She hit me so I had to hit them back. Take the high road
