  2. It is on his Sailboat album, from 1977
  3. I got to interview Jonathan Edwards a few weeks back. Here are a few snippets. Carolina Caroline Shanty

I was watching some videos and found this one that explains about writing Sunshine.
  5. Something about "live" recordings that are not advertised, is that most have some level of overdubbing -- drum beat off or muffled guitar. When the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock came out, there was some serious overdubs, most with original artists if they were alive, but some with different artists. The unfortunate reality is that it is very difficult to walk away from a live recording with everything intact.
  6. One of my best friends for about 30 some odd years has always been involved in music, engineering, producing. Well his son is a musician and in a band called, The Black Angels. This week they got their network premiere on Letterman and it went great. Here the clip from the show<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAFFdoWjq1k?fs=1&hl=en_US"><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAFFdoWjq1k?fs=1&hl=en_US"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAFFdoWjq1k?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></object>
  7. billy Mumy was the brain behind Barnes and Barnes. (Those old enough will remember that he was the young boy on Lost In Space) Dr. Demento played this song almost weekly on his syndicated radio show for years and gave the song exposure.

The group is Mumford and Sons
  9. I taught an ex-girlfriend's dog to lay over and play dead when I held my hand like a gun and went, "bang"
  10. 24/7 In the early days of GreaseSpot, a GSC member was in New Knoxville. It was a snowy night, She had a mobile setup and was in the chat room saying where she was. Within seconds, she saw lights and "Bless Patrol" was whizzing down the road. As she moved around New Knoxville, unmarked vans would pass her. (This was in the middle of the night) Quite amusing and really showed how close they were monitoring this site
  11. A good commercial product is Premiere Elements. It is a stripped down version of Adobe's Premiere. It's about 80.00. And has everything that an amateur could want.

My condolences to you Dooj and his children and family. He's in a better place now, no more pain, we are all at a loss.
  17. What you are describing is just plain dangerous. "Starvation" diets will do damage to muscle and not go after the excessive fat. Your body is like a furnace and needs components to burn properly. If your goal is to burn fat, you have to feed it protein, carbs and fat in the right proportions. The key element to burn the fat is to regulate the carbs. If you keep your carbs under 100, within 3 days the fat will start being used as fuel. To deprive yourself totally of either fat, protein or carbs is just plain dangerous
  18. No prizes. I wish I could afford stuff like that but just knowing you are the half-millionth poster should be thanks enough. I will add to the story this evening....

  20. Ex, GS started about 6 months before the lawsuit. I had a feeling that closing Waydale might be a condition of the lawsuit, no matter what the outcome. So I wanted there to be a place. Business was slow until the trial happened, or was going to happen. And suddenly Waydale was closing.
  21. Yes there is insurance, someone told us after the fact.
  22. And I had no resources for info. I was quite happy with just the forum. Waydale was still the happening place. The trial was in the distance, everyone was excited about that. I think everyone that had been wronged by The Way, was hanging their hat on the trial. I forget who approached who, but Groucho wanted to tell his story. I had a front page article!!! It was something like the After Midnight Gazette. (I'll try to find it) OH and the night I was supposed to start it. I started a thread. AND Rafael started a thread, called THE on Waydale. It was the most popular thread that Waydale ever had!!! That thread had to be split up into multiple threads. At that time the software could only handle a certain number of posts. EZboard locked the threads a few times. I just spent the weeks dusting the furniture at GS.
