Welcome Deciderato! Both you and Jonny's opinions here along with all of us have some validity and I agree not everything was bad and a lot was good. None of us fully understands; nor is fully right. That is why opinion is used; to assess, to evaluate and to re-evaluate and to seek out the facts and the truth Most everyone here recognizes that! None of us are without flaws or sins, pains, losses or heartbreaks and heartaches. God did not abdicate His throne and choose anyone to sit in His seat; to judge, to condemn, to reward, to praise and on and on of all His unending responsibilities...............! We have many many things in common. We all just need to heal and grow. Sometimes, by laying it out here and seeking opinions, we are helped to understand and to put the puzzles together; so that we can move on or help someone else...or the yet lurking see it. We need to find our bearings again and to learn the things we missed out on to be able to fill in the gaps. For me the destination will always be after the truth about God. That is why I joined TWI... to find GOD and His ways and desires, His designs and His heart! I met a lot of the best people in all the earth along the way>>>My Brothers and Sisters>>>who I dearly love and am thankful for! I do not understand all the many and vastly different intricate changes that go on in peoples lives and hearts...I think that God does and we can help where we can! More than anything concerning this, I am hopeful that we never quit till we find our own bearings and our own puzzle pieces that will help us to be whole. It takes a while to adjust from being unduly influenced or controlled. I highly commend all who make it through the processes! Many don't, they stay in the same sick patterns and often learn to justify themselves or play the blame game. Ironically, not because change is too hard; but because they think it is! It takes diligent effort, self-discipline and self-control to develop your own opinion and to study and seek out knowledge or find the truth Research is one of the best things I learned from TWI. They didn't mess up the true and accurate meanings of word definitions. Often they skewed, twisted or clouded them...intentionally or not. We still have all the words in all our languages to gather in truth! Some skewed, twisted clouded and entangled peoples lives and hearts. GOD made us strong enough to untangle all these trappings and He is our heavy lifter! He will judge and avenge us Let's give each other a stronger hand, a lot more love, time and patience! If you are referring to my post here I hope you can explain it to me... I am just wondering??? I greatly respect your imput and I have learned a lot from You!!!! You are a very dear and admired friend to me!!!!!!

Eyes, Growing an ever stronger backbone to me does involves self-control and self discipline; with an increased base of knowledge, wisdom and understanding.....mingled with a lot of intestinal fortitude; All of which are impossible without adding in time, love and patience. Knowing and accepting that with each growth stage we will need some more refining! I agree most heartily with both of your posts Another Spot...You have great insight! Ex10, your post speaks to me as well, and I believe these are very necessary components in having and displaying and developing a strong and healthy backbone! Dooji your painting analogy is another defining factor of it all! You all collectively have nailed it for me! I feel all these components are vital for a true balance and continued growth! One more thing I would like to address: Some of the things that have caused us great and excruciating pains have often enlightened us to the point that when we are able to find our ways through them; Often, in the end of it all great lessons remain. Ones that help us to see beyond merely shrouding the pains and building walls! Fortresses that only lock the pains out from re invading our hearts, souls and minds. Which in reality is only a seemingly strong position, and in truth is a prison of of crippling isolation! Yet to reach out and to help others through their miseries and misfortunes is the true strengthening of our backbones! You don't have to experience the same pains or hardships to understand and to effectively help another break through it! Willingness on both or all sides mingled together with the proper degree of all these backbone building components and possibly even more components, help to determine the outcomes! I liken the component parts of building a healthy backbone to the putting together of the puzzle parts of ourselves that we we gift to one another here!

That was an amazing article about "Oscar the Cat", Thank You Bumpy for it! Animals seem to also have the ability to sense and to adjust to their own impending death...often better than we do. I wonder if there is a true basis for TWI's teaching us that animals and pets would not be in heaven with us?...I hope that it is not true!

Dear (((((((((Dave)))))))))))), I say this not really knowing for sure or not as I don't know you very well in ways... but, You probably do not realize or know just how very very important and valued you truly are to all of us here; but most especially Loren and all the other guys or clients in the group home there (and I hate the word clients...it is so impersonal and seems to link all too well to those being in it mainly for the paycheck). You put your whole heart, love understanding and wisdom into all that you do. You live love! This is very easily seen from whatever distance one is looking from! This, your love, is as you know far more deeply appreciated by uniquely specially gifted people such as Loren. The way they look at the world is uniquely different. They have very few walls or shrouds to protect themselves....But, Thank God they have You; and other men and women with exquisite hearts of love for them. People with special capacities of love particular to what they need. They may not be able express it well by worldly standards of communication; but for someone who sees and opens their hearts with love like You do Dave, It is all understandable and easily read in their eyes and special ways of communication...because you are TUNED-IN with your heart! Tuned in is everything in their lives! As most Everyone here knows I am a mother of a very uniquely gifted young man. This I hope qualifies me to thank You from the depths of my heart Dave for all you do in behalf of all the the Mom's and Dad's and Families that for whatever reasons have placed or trusted you in the care of such gifted people. For many of them it torn their hearts out to give them up and for many it only lifted a burden they never wanted or could handle. Thank you still in behalf of all of them and the gifted ones!!!!!!!!!!! Particularily, Thank You for all the Ones who beseeched God continually and also upon their impending passage from this world to find them a heart like Your's for their Child or Loved One! Everyone hopes to be loved and recognized for their true heart and unique value; and my life's dream for Josh is that when or if I am gone from this world, Josh will be loved,valued, enjoyed, cared for and protected by someone just like You! Josh has had a few people like You Dave in His life that He was broken hearted to lose when they needed to move on. Beau was like You Dave. Just like a brother to Josh. He took him every where. He was proud to have Josh hang out with His friends and His girlfriend. He made room for him in His life. This speaks volumes more.... He taught him new things and helped him over the hard places and fearful things of life. When Beau prepared to leave, He tried as best He could to help Josh through it but Josh's sense of geography and other related factors is so vastly limited; that there was no easy way to leave or no easy way for Josh to be left! There just never will be; which is so common to many like Josh! Beau gave Josh a Harley T-shirt as a goodbye gift. After Beau left that day and for many months afterward Josh sat every morning leaning up against the door with the Harley T-shirt stuffed into a clean garbage bag. To me that picture said all about the different feelings Josh then felt and what He wanted and just how powerlessly limited He was to change things in His own life! All the Josh's and the Loren's and all the gifted know just how truly rare and how valuable men and women like you are Dave. They have had a lot of the one's that were in it, mainly for the paycheck. Sometimes You do mean so very much more to them and their Families than You will ever really know! I know that You are a very humble and a self-less man, who acts from a heart full of love; never looking for the limelight and the glory that you are so truly worthy of, but I cannot contain my love and praises for All that You so genuinely give and do! May GOD especially reward You, for Your love and services to all! GOD Bless and Keep You ever in His Care and Love! Please understand this, I never save my praises or how I feel about anyone; Flowery or not; it is my heart and what I see and I never want to leave anything I wanted to say unsaid...wishing that I would have said it and no longer can! P.S. Please Everyone pray for Josh now...He has just lost RainbowsChild his adopted sister, as a care provider for the last six year...She needed to go back to Louisiana. He is more devastated than ever before about this loss! They say it will be about 1 to 2 months before they care hire and train in people for Josh. Please Pray that He gets a "Dave Miller" care provider to replace his sister!

Thank God for people like you and Loren! I am so proud just to know you both!

I am not sure if this is the only way;..... but if you go there and make an account and download the software you can for sure listen in and download the pod casts past or present as they give you the pin # and the pin # always takes you into the GRSPC pod cast section. Anyway having the account gives you the options of calling in and joining live cast or just listening in on your PC and downloading past and present pod casts. Hey and you will love it...it is a rare opportunity to become better acquainted with everyone and hear a lot of great speakers, ask questions, discuss topics and suggest speakers and topics.
