Dear Cman, When you say as in I Thessalonians 5:21: We are to prove all things. Well all things that come my way I reckon. And hold fast to the good. Does that apply to believing beyond a shadow of a doubt?; e.g. as is requirement in the gospels to recieve all types of healing, when healing was ministered? e.g. Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. So then, if you propose that you, and perhaps me, or anyone can believe as they want to and to prove what things come our ways on an individual basis or disprove it...Then how is one able to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt to be healed and does that mean as soon as any shadow of a doubt comes in the healing is lost? I can understand that I am proving to myself or becoming totally convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt as Mark 9:23 states in essense but if you can disprove what you proved.... and healing is a work of God then aren't you indicating that it is possible to disprove God by then not believing beyond a shadow of a doubt thus disproving what you proved? Hey Kathy, He would be so happy to know that anyone learned from him. I often suspect that he knows far more than he can process out...his fine, gross, and speech motor planning and processing get short circuited. I know this off the topic and that I am gushing about him; but when anyone has to work 10x's harder to do the same things that come relativally easily to most of us...I cannot help but to be in awe and to praise them. Dear Kathy, God gave him a way to win over cruelties! He has his humor and his charm and a loving patient heart...He is tenacious like me; he never gives up against any odds. I have seen him turn many situations from bad to good. One comes to mind: When he was swimming in the pool here in our apartment complex, many children would all too often mock him and tease him; and just about everytime I was getting ready to interviene on his behalf...he would do something to win them over himself...laughing at himself with them, copying the ways they swam and played and relentlessly following them and shining his love! Dear Jeaniam, Both are correct terms. I use unique or uniquely special to point out and emphasize to the world that I see my son as I see as I see everyone else. We are all uniquely special...Just wearing different earth suits: We all have special needs...We all have special gifts...We all have difficulties and challenges, and the list goes on and on...... Not one of us is alike. We are all worthy of love and respect and at least a real look at. We all need to have the opportunity to be known, understood, and accepted. We are all "handicapped" in some way or another, although that term has become a degrading and devaluing term....hence it has become politically incorrect. I don't really know what the motivation is to attack people verbally hear is at times....and as everyone here has said so very well, it is going to happen for varied reasons...I don't think that they are heartless or they wouldn't stay hear. This a place where they have come to for answers and to vent and heal, because they were wounded, misused, not heard or helped...and other varied reason. I am here pointing out that it isn't necessary to hurt or attack anyone in these manners for any reason; and if there is I would like to understand their reasons." Everything that all of you have added is very well put...I appreciate it so much. You all melt my heart and your word heal me up You are all so balanced and wise...You read hearts like books and much more practise what you know...more than anything I am glad you see my heart and can read it. To me it is far more important to 1st and then continue to predominately see a heart more than a belief or even intellect! I will not be leaving...I am a mother of a unique child. My skin is tough enough and my heart and my patience have been tried enough to be here... as long as people like all of you my dear dear friends are here. Dear QT, Thank you for your love and for standing by me as a true friend always does! You too Free and all you who with great heart came to share with me your wisdom! helping me through the brambles. Illuminating me! My biggest hope in writing this was to bring to the attention of everyone here that we should try harder to know and understand one another. What we assume sometimes here online about each other is so far from the truth or totally disregarded in our actions. From what I have read most of us are seeking the truth in one aspect or another; but if we slaughter (figuratively) one another over our beliefs...what will we have become??? We as individuals are not just the total sum of our beliefs systems....We are so much more than that. IMO if we focus on the hearts of the members here, well, then we would learn more and hence understand more... Oh well that is what I want and I realize what you have said as usual is so very true...along with all of you that have come to talk with me. We all have different focuses and agendas, ways and means. I guess I look and I see some are in so much pain and yet out of their pain they inflict pain back. Pain is only one of many examples of the reasons I am trying to address here..anger, fear, etc.; I only mean to say to get beyond what hurts us or traps us , we sometimes need to risk other options or reactions...I know that this is somewhat a normal reaction to act in kind as to how you have been treated...it is just so frustrating to be the brunt of it. I know there is no balance here on earth and no perfection...i am again dreaming out loud! I made an attempt to ask the very few here to make an effort to be more aware of their effect and to have better regard for the hearts they affect.
