  1. i didn't know it was a requirement to follow through on responses to poststhreads etc. the peeler lawsuit is one of the most interesting topics. i wish it was on court tv
  2. There is a place where dreams come true on this earth. All of you have been there. It's a place where God's children take care of each other, and I mean all God's children. There is no judgement and there is no evil. Its a place with a wild dynamic of intense love and selfless giving. It's a place where , though challenges can be a regular occurence, faith and love still overcome all. Forgiveness is rampant. It's a world where there is no Way Ministry. I've seen it here on GreaseSpot Love, Jell
  3. 3 late 90's early millenium post apocalypse statements/excuses/quasi-apologies/back pedals/foot shufflin/back stabbin dosey doe's that stick out: "The ministry is still growing and learning"- Oh, how nice "Better to be wrong and speak up(ie: rip off the heads of the innocent) than to be right and not speak up."- Whaaaat the F**** did you say? "Way Corps Leaders are leaving TWI because of the hard heartedness of the believers."
  4. Igotout: I think you should invite some current TWi'ers to your Xmass party. jest fer yucks never mind please report back on this within 24 hours
  5. ahhh the memories..... AC on PFAL 1994 Rome City Indiana: Martindale newsflash at lunch: Bill Clinton engineered the Oklahoma City bombing so he could make himself look good by handling a national crisis. Apparently Clinton had the support girders in the building pre-cut so it would collapse nicely when the fertilizer hit the fan. I remember this girl sitting at the table next to me with this completely disgusted look on her face and I sat there wondering "jeez what's her problem?" "Why doesn't she look blessed?" Yes, I drank the koolaid. Gallons of it.
  6. I've got a picture of myself circa 1982 WOW field with 3 piece suit and briefcase and I wasn't even a twig leader. Probably had pot in the briefcase just call me Dorkus
  7. Hey, If I'm gonna drink I want to drink with people who enjoy it not a bunch of wrinkle brained sphincter heads. Can you imagine coctails with Jean Yves Clouseau Harvey Flatus and Roz Munch My Bark? They should do more drinking. I remember Martindale proudly proclaiming that he had never had a drink in his life. ....but then I remember VP saying that often times when things got too heavy he would sit on his back porch and "pop himself a Schlitz or two" He was truly the Man of God for our times. Maybe a better thread would be: Is there still a lot of drinking BECAUSE of the Way? YES, YES, a thousand times yes!!!
  8. I was ashamed to be part of TWI's leadership. I got to the point where I didn't want people to know I was part of TWI. This was in 2002 after about 22 years of being involved
  9. shennanigans is a great word good job pmosh how about: annoying leadership hi-jinks
  10. HF winter 2002 putting together care package for WayCorps. ......cash donations also accepted. slurp slurp slurp
  11. HF Summer 2002: Friday night fun night 7PM (must be outreach oriented) check out www.ready.gov 1-800-BE-READY drink the koolaid please
  12. Region Hookup 2002 Believing is a heart issue maybe we need to put more time in the Word. Don't be part of the problem There isn't anything better out there. drink
  13. HFC Meeting July 2001 Way Class better materialize this week DRINK!!!!!
  14. DRINK THE KOOLAID EVERYBODY!!!!! I COMMAND YOU!!!! it's nice and fruity....really
  15. Limb HFC Meeting August 2001 We should burn ourselves out in service because we are all that God has. Anything that comes in the way of our attendance at fellowship is weakness and boils down to fear and selfishness. Pressure is basically between the ears. Bottom line: LACK OF BELIEVING If we are afraid of reproof we will communicate that when we are reproving people. The adversary wants to get people to be afraid that God via the household leadership is not able to take care of them.
  16. TC Meeting July 1997 If we esteem the Word highly we also esteem the people who give it to us highly. Who is first in our lives? There is no room for fear when we esteem someone highly. We can esteem a leader highly by following the direction they give. As we walk in the love of God by obeying our leadership we will have the right perspective in every aspect of life. Now drink the F*cking Koolaid!
  17. Pirate, I remember a whole series of posts on Wierwille's basketball career. Somebody took the time to even interview some of his team mates etc. I guess he was a fairly decent small college player. Back in the 30's pro basketball was a little sketchy. Lots of little towns had "professional teams" probably more like "semi pro" probably got paid 5 bucks and a quart of Pabst. Maybe an egg sandwich.....
  18. Just when I thought I heard it all. A metronome? I Love "Way Myths" TWI is everything they claim not to be. Biggest myth of all? Well maybe not but: There is total protection from all evil in "The Household" (later modified to: "The functioning household of the prevailing, renewed mindset of passion for the word of TWI and you better not F**K up or you're dead") I've been going through my notebooks from my last coupla years in. Plenty of myths in there. Here's one and I kid you not this is a direct quote from our LC's wife: "If you feel pressure because of the things you do for the ministry you have a lack of believing. It's basically selfishness" I'm glad she said that because it was one of many verbal stepping stones on my path out of TWI.
