  1. I live in the same town as Jim. I've tried calling him, but get no answer. I'll drive over during lunch time to see what I can find out and come right back to post.
  2. My daughter is researching similar things - her school recommends yahooligans.com.
  3. I'm glad you had a nice time on your 60th there, Shell! Many more! xoxo
  4. I spoke with Jim. He said he sent Stanley on to Zshot. I'll remind him to check in here. (Shell - all's well with us, just super busy lately. I'll be in touch. xoxo to you and K.)
  5. Springsteen's version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town

    Paw's Birthday

    Birthday hugs and kisses, paw!
  7. Ok, that's what I thought you meant. I'm glad it's not your vision. Mine is still cream color and I have no idea why yours isn't.
  8. Roy, Are you referring to your vision or to this website exclusively that you now see a gray background where you used to see a cream color to type on so that the letters are similar in color to the page they're typed on?
  9. Most fabulous, Mark! Wonderful display of the pictures! But yikes, I see my future there! I have an 8-year-old daughter.

ruh roe I was gonna tell him I posted that link here, but now I went and called him Alden Malden... On second thought, he might tolerate that to get to what you said, lol Shell - Told ya! But I think it's easy for YOU to sigh - you're gonna be a gramma!!! You lucky ducky!

    Expired Meds

Cool. So, it's a matter of whether it's a statement or a question?

    Expired Meds

Shaz - I grew up in "Come and smell our dairy air Wisconsin." We've used the opaque plastic bottles for years and years. I actually prefer cartons over plastic bottles and I've been known to buy two half gallon cartons rather than a plastic bottle even though I could have spent less money on the plastic... Hey Linda, how do you use quotation marks - inside or outside the period (or question mark or exclamation mark...)? Is there a simple rule? Excath - You're flipping too? Cool! I bawled big tears down both cheeks the first two times I watched it! He said his phone has rung off the hook all day! He and I speak on the phone every day, but man, I miss hugging him!
  13. yeah, what Shell said! and yeah, what ex said too - where ya been, rottie?

Bow jr. was on tv last night. Wanna see? He's the third guy interviewed. http://multimedia.tbo.com/multimedia/MGBN1KFCF1E.html Hmmm, maybe I should've put this in the Computer Forum. It's got links to Adaware and Spybot... I won't be offended if it gets moved there.

    Expired Meds

mj said My daughter is 8 years old. When she was a little over 5 and had her 5th or so ear infection our pediatrician prescribed antibiotics and advised me that it's getting to be almost out of style now to give them for ear infections as the thinking now is that the ear infections don't go away any faster with or without them. He said that most kids outgrow those childhood ear infections by age 5-1/2 or so anyway, so it wouldn't be a problem for us much longer... We missed this last weenie roast due to another ear infection (3rd one since she was 6). Our new doc ordered an antibiotic. I didn't ask for anything but an examination and treatment recommendation. The doc prescribed what the doc prescribed. I worked outside my home the first 4 years of my daughter's life and from home the past 4. I take her to the doc for examination and treatment, not MY appeasement. mj, sometimes I think you post just to see your own screen name, without regard to who is going to read what you post or if it's clearly written. I wonder if you have ever proofread what you post before hitting the Post Now button. I'm 45 and take no meds on a regular basis, but if I get an infection and the doc prescribes antibiotics you can bet I'll take every last one of 'em. Linda - I wonder if we're related. I'm a card-carrying member of the anal weirdo family, midwestern clan. I'm so anal I don't take any medicine past the expiration date. I don't drink milk past the date on the jug either... Ha ha, now that I think of it - I can't stand for milk to be out of the fridge any longer than it takes to pour it and quickly put it back in. I won't even buy milk unless I have a cooler in the van to transport it if the store is farther than 10 minutes from home either. Nor do I wear or allow my family to wear new clothes without washing them first. I worked in a KMart factory for a couple weeks when I was first out of high school and I saw many really gross things done to the clothes as they were being produced...
  18. The princess and I intend to attend any and all future weenie roasts, even if they're held in Ohio. And even if they're held in April. I still have plenty of dollar bills - I just like to be prepared in case of spontaneous tree dancing...
  19. The princess has a lovely Dorothy (from The Wizard of Oz) including red sequins covered shoes. The costume shop had a real lame plastic basket with a hunk of fur that was supposed to look like Toto - for $15!!! We're going to use a real basket we already had and putting a cute little Toto-looking stuffed dog in it and keeping our $15. If she couldn't have been Dorothy, she wanted to be a "real scary looking witch." mwah ha ha ha ha ha...
  20. $200 in January or February of 1981. I remember it being $100 and even $40 at points after that...
  21. Rascal - I'm so very sorry for you - I had to try to post a pic. If you'd like I will post all I have (or e-mail them to someone more able if I blow this attempt). Much love,
  22. We're fine, but it's been a wild few days here. First I was sick, like a sinus infection/sleepy jag. I posted we were leaving Friday night and went back to sleep. I got up later that night to head out, but the princess had developed an earache that made her scream out loud. I thought I posted then that we were going to wait til morning to leave if she was better. I don't see that post. Meanwhile, my computer I had just bought last winter has crashed, so I didn't even know my post wasn't there til now, when I brought in my laptop that was packed in the van for the weekend... Took Annie to the doc today and holy moly, puddin and pie! She may have perforated her eardrum - they can't tell yet for all the pus and inflammation in there. I pray it's just infected, of course. She was given a note to return to school Thursday IF she feels up to it and has no fever. (She's had no fever all day today.) We've been living off s'mores and other camping delights. I had made a double batch of tuna noodle salad - we're actually sick of it and it's one of our favorites! We have a ton of individual juice boxes and Sunny D... I'm all for that unofficial roast in the spring!!! I'm so sorry to have missed y'all. xoxo
  23. well, I must say I'm impressed how well they so nonchalantly mentioned being a minister and producing such smooth resumes without mentioning all those years as leaders in a cult... I had to read the entire site and searched for a pic so I could be sure for myself that it was truly him. Yep, that's the man that destroyed my world in a heartbeat 10 years ago. I don't recognize his wife anymore, but he really left a lasting impression on me when he falsely accused my teenage son of molesting a little boy. I've been working hard on forgiving him lately (altho he's never contacted me, despite there being no doubt in my mind that he's known how he could contact me since early Greasespot days). I thought I had forgiven him, but I felt absolutely sick inside when I saw that picture. Now I'm not so sure I'm really as over it as I thought I was. All I do know for sure is that's all the energy I'm going to spend in his direction for awhile again.
  24. OM Usually I ignore your posts, but somehow today I accidentally read this thread. Usually I ignore what looks to me like you chasing rascal from thread to thread, trying to challenge most anything she says. You said Well OM, I've been to rascal's home and spent weekends with her and her family. I can tell you that she is not all about what you said above. She is living proof that God still loves us regardless of what twi and you like to think. rascal and her family are an awesome example of people who are obviously blessed by God. They are full of integrity and honesty, compassion and strength, not to mention a total barrel of monkeys. I'm very impressed with what she and her husband are doing with their family, community, business, etc. I'm proud of her energy to continue speaking so that others may not get tricked by twi. I wish I had her energy!!! I'm very glad to count rascal and family among my friends - they are top notch and I know of what I'm speaking. No doubt if you spent 5 minutes in her presence in real life you'd see her so differently.
