  1. well all I wanna know is if it's still true that you can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose. Tref and dm - you're a coupla hoots!
  2. dm - I thought it was funny, and one that Steve! his own self would laugh at, so for what it's worth, I'm glad you said it. and don't worry about us being able to stand so much of ya, there'll be enough of us to spread yourself out some... seems to me there will be double what came last year and I coulda stayed with each and everyone of em another week easily... freaky - you can count the princess and me - we love surprises... (she'll be 8 by that weekend).
  3. Ha ha, yeah - you sure did get me with that title! I bet we hear of this fella again, like at the end of the year when the Stupidest Criminals of 2004 email comes around...
  4. The princess and I will be there and since I expect to be driving up, I'll be delighted to bring up a bunch of food. I'm flexible and not a bad cook. I'm thinking potato salad, macaroni and tuna salad, taco salad, other side dish stuff. I make a good mild chili, but that's usually something somebody really really loves to prepare, so I'll just leave it at this for now - with room for change. If nobody else "calls" chili, I'll make some. Just about anything is fine with me. Oh, and of course I'll bring s'mores fixins. (my true longsuit - lolol) The princess is talking about bringing her 3 closest friends so they can meet and hang with Hannah and the other kids! Littlehawk - you thinking pears again this year? I just might have to try some if you do! (but no pressure, ;)-->) Oh, and Sudo, about last year - it sure worked out well for us that when that nice park ranger came by to comment on how well-behaved we all were that you were there to smooth things over so well. Man, I shudder to think of the trouble there could have been if not for your taking such control of the situation. :D--> :P-->
  5. I still have a print of his of a swan that I had framed that hangs in my bathroom to this day. If I recall correctly, it was a drawing of a swan at the Indiana Campus. It was a gift from someone I sponsored once upon a time. B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  6. Vickles darlin, you may not want to hear this, but I just came in from walking my dogs and seeing the princess onto her schoolbus. I'm wearing a tank top and shorts. The princess has a tshirt and skirt on with ankle socks - not even a sweater today. We may get to 83 degrees this afternoon. We live in central FL. My exhusband lives near Eagle River, WI and he said yesterday they were expecting something like 7-11 inches of snow overnite - hope that helps. Enjoy your day off!!! 7. Good Night Moon, of course, as it's so sweet and easy for the little ones to memorize and be able to say with me - and a little old lady whispering "hush." Man, if I had a dime for every time I've read that one to a child... Would You Still Love Me? is a favorite because it covers all sorts of possible changes that could happen (Like the child turning into an apple tree or a star) and asks the question of the Mama - Would you still love me if? It's great assurance for little ones that no matter WHAT, they will always be loved. I'm a big Shel Silerstein fan too, jesusfreaky - I think my favorite of his poems is Sarah Sylvia Cynthia Stout (would not take the garbage out...) I've had all his books as long as I can remember and read them more than any other books I read for my own pleasure - tee hee. I'm also a Pooh Bear fan, but my daughter isn't. Now that my daughter is older, my current favorite to read with her is Pippi Longstocking. B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  8. Six months ago my 6 yr. old daughter and I were in a car wreck. The lawyer told me that I could not spend her share of the settlement money without permission from the court. I would have to actually petition the court for permission to spend any of her money and it would have to be totally for her benefit. It was made very clear to me whose money that was and whose it was not. After all the dust cleared, all she got was about $3 grand. The lawyer told me I could use it toward replacing my vehicle that was totaled in the wreck. I asked what changed since the first advice and the answer was that $3 grand was nothing to them - the courts don't care if I spent that, but if it would have been a major settlement like the $300 grand the lawyer first anticipated, that's when the parents don't have the right to spend the child's money. Funny thing was that more bills came in after they cut me that check - bills for more than that $3 grand. (good ol' no fault state) B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  9. I would actually have a question for them IF THEY called ME. I never did figure out just what threat I was to them. I was just one little ol' single mom with a young teenage son that wanted to serve God and love His people. I never understood why they really M&A'd me. The reason they gave at the time was that my son and I were 'homos," but we all know that's not the case. I'm probably better off not knowing, but when I get to wondering things, that's what I wonder... B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  10. ask and ye shall receive ...dynamo hum, dynamo hum, where's this dynamo coming from? I done spent 3 hours and I ain't got a crumb - from the dynamo, dynamo, dynamo - from the dynamo hum!!! (my apologies to Roy, as well) B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  11. My mom was an intense Elvis fan. She thought the Beatles were "hoods" so I wasn't exposed to them much when they first came to America (I was a 4 year old kid 40 years ago today). My memory is that they were intruders, clogging up the radio when Elvis could have been playing. As a teenager, I discovered the Beatles. I can't get enough of their music. To this day, I listen to the weekly Beatles show on the radio and my 7-year-old can recognize their music on the radio. I had the pleasure of seeing Paul McCartney a year or so ago and was so impressed. I never tire of their music. B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  12. watered - my wonderful son was 13 when we were m&a'd. oh, the vicious lies spread about my son from lcm all the way down the rotten way tree - at the time my son asked how this could be happening, considering twi leadership was supposedly tuned in to God all the time... bow jr. was so angry with twi, God, anything that reminded him of either. BUT, when I had a cancer scare, I literally put that boy up against a wall and asked if he would just once tell me if he did or did not believe God, as I needed a prayer partner and he really was my only choice (having been recently m&a'd). He admitted to believing God and prayed with me. He even went to the hospital and waited while I had the tumor removed. It was benign. Reminds me of that verse in psalms - train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Today, 10 yrs. later, my son enjoys church once n awhile. I know he still loves God. And yes, I felt toward the end of twi for me (1994), that to stand approved before lcm one could find themselves being told that killing someone that was gay would be the loving thing to do. lcm said on a sunday night service that my son should have been "fried" - I know he wasn't referring to "extremely tired." 13. Robin Williams or Steve Martin for Uncle Arthur and Dana Carvey for Dr. Bombay comes to mind. I'm looking forward to enjoying this movie with my 7 yr. old when it comes out. B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
  14. Shell, nah - I wondered if I communicated it clearly enough. It wasn't at all slimey like it might sound. He was just a very direct man from Long Island, NY. There was lots of giggling on both our parts in that conversation. His latest relationship preceding hooking up with me had been unsatisfactory in that department, so he was stating what he wanted in order to move ours to that level... Zix - actually, I took the car to a shop for the clutch job - I never did feel comfortable asking him to tend to my car - he was super busy growing a new business and all... 15. Once when I was at that place in a relationship where we were discussing the possibility of sex between myself and a boyfriend, he actually came right out and said that if I had sex with him he would take care of my car for me (he was a mechanic and I needed something major for it at the time). He stumbled through what sounded like a proposition to me. I asked him real calmly just exactly how much sex would a new clutch "cost" me and he got all flustered and said he'd take care of the car even if I wouldn't have sex with him. I told him I'd have sex with him even if he didn't take care of my car, so we were even. hmmmm, maybe it was one of those deals that were funny only if you were there at the time... 17. It seems to me that the raiders knew the raidees well enough to know that they would see this as a funny prank, not as an offensive crime. B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international

That reminds me of one I heard him tell - Two lawyers standing on a streetcorner eyeing up a beautiful woman. The first lawyer says, "I'd sure like to screw her..." The second lawyer says, "Out of what?" B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international

  21. One day when bow jr. was in kindergarten, he settled into his seat for an afterschool snack and while I was putting his artwork on the refrigerator door he asked me just as tho he were asking what flavor pudding he was about to eat, "Momma, when you want to sex a girl, how do you get her excited?" Thankfully, my back was to him and I was able to pick my chin up off the floor before responding in my Waybrain manner, "Well honey, God designed sex for after you get married and HE tells you all you need to know to get started." (Yes, I really said something like that) This led to his question, "Momma, did YOU ever have sex?" I tenderly answered, "Yes, darlin' - that's how I got you!" He then asked, "With who?" I answered, "With your daddy."" He didn't skip a beat - his reply? "Aww, gross!!!!" I swear it's true. B - Better O - Off W - Without t - the w - way i - international
