  1. All the DC and Marvel movies which I've seen, I've seen in theaters (except the extended cut Justice League). (Living in Texas, I had the opportunity to see films in theaters when it was still forbidden in many states.) I have not seen all the DC and Marvel movies. George
  2. During this show's run, one character was portrayed by two actors (a la Dick York/Dick Sargent). Another was portrayed by THREE actors. (Two of the latter three eventually wound up on Hee Haw!) Another actor contracted cancer during the run and was replaced by an actor playing a different role (a la William Frawley/William Demarest). The actors portraying a couple who got married during the show's run were actually a couple who got married during the show's run. The woman was the daughter of the show's creator. Not technically a spinoff, another show a couple of years later used many of the thematic elements of this show, including its location. The two crossed over occasionally. There was also a crossover with an earlier show. I could be wrong, but the town this show is set in could have been an inspiration for a popular sports bar chain. George
  3. Just for completeness, I did not see the movie, and I have not sat next to either of you at ANY movie. George
  4. Tom Swift in the CW version seems to be a gay, black Tony Stark. Rich, brilliant, self-absorbed. He even has an AI like Jarvis, though his is called Barclay (voiced, interestingly, by LeVar Burton). The opening episode had some interesting plot beginnings. The show is not bad, but also not compelling. George
  5. Jonah Hill Rob Reiner Margot Robbie Jon Favreau Kyle Chandler Joanna Lumley George
  6. Marlon Brando Ian Holm Rod Steiger Claude Rains Charles Boyer Armand Assante Alain Chabat Herbet Lom Eli Wallach George
  7. This movie was the film debut of Gene Wildeer. Of the four main stars, three were nominated for Oscars. Only one won one, though, arguably the least familiar of the four. Warner Brothers had so little faith in the film that they offered first-time Producer (and star) 40 percent of the gross, instead of a minimal fee. The movie went on to gross over $70 million. George
  8. I'll give WW and Raf a little longer. George
  9. Batman & Robin Arnold Schwarzenegger End of Days George
  10. Here are all teh lyrics except those with the title: Broke my heart We're apart Thinks she's smart I met a girl a month ago I thought that she would love me so But in time I realized She had a pair of roving eyes I remember the nights we dated Always acting sophisticated Talking about high society Oh then she tried to make a fool out of me Broke my heart now Thinks she's smart now We're apart now Pretty little girl you're just having fun You're running all around and breaking lover's hearts Pretty little girl, I don't stand a chance Without any money there goes our romance She always wears charms, diamonds, pearls galore She buys them at the five and ten cents store She wants to be just like Zsa Zsa Gabor Even though she's the girl next door George
  11. Sorry. I got nothin'. I suspect that the characters' names would ring a bell for someone familiar with the movie. George
  12. I don't think any of the actors in 90210 appeared in Hee Haw! This is an earlier show. I use "actor" non-gender-specifically. 14. Not knowing much about Game of Thrones (no, really), I don't know if it would fit the clues, but it's not what I have in mind. 15. Actually, those guys might all have played Hamlet, but that's not whom I'm looking for. Let's add a few more. Marlon Brando Ian Holm Rod Steiger Claude Rains Charles Boyer Armand Assante George
  16. I might have gotten it from the others, but the George Clooney/John Goodman pairing clinched it. George
  17. OK. Long enough. "Can't Get Next to You" by the Temptations. Fun to do all four voices in karaoke. New one: "Flew in from Miami Beach B.O.A.C." George
  18. Murder on the Orient Express (?) George
  19. "Death on the Nile"? George (Obviously an Hercule Poirot story.)
  20. Does this help? [falsetto] I can turn a grey sky blue. [bass voice] I can make it rain, whenever I want it to. George

  22. This is a famous character, and a lot of famous actors portrayed him, but I'm not sure any of them are really identified with the role: Marlon Brando Ian Holm Rod Steiger George
