  1. Mystery Men. A bunch of second-rate "heroes" try to save a city. George
  2. No. "I only work in black and sometimes very, very dark grey." "Uh, guys? We're about to crash into the sun. "Yeah, but it's gonna look really cool." "Here he comes. Cover your butts." "I super-hate you." "We are from the planet Duplo, and we're here to destroy you. "Oh, man." "Your home, Bricksburgh, is one of many realms in the universe. There's also this one, Pirates Cove, Knights Club, Vikings Landing, Clown Town, and a bunch of others we don't even mention. Lord Business, or as you think you know him, President Business, stole the Kragl, the most powerful object in the universe..." George
  3. Something in your eyes was so inviting Something in you smile was so exciting Something in my heart told me I must have you George
  4. "Radar Love" (?) I can't remember the band. George
  5. That's the one. I'd say he looks more like a cross between Dafoe and Ron Howard. :) George
  6. No. In "The Dark Knight," Heath Ledger did not mock his previous roles. Nor, for that matter, did Christian Bale. And "The Dark Knight" actually WAS PG-13. This movie is more recent, though you have the basic genre correct. George
  7. I assume that was a joke! George
  8. Although unconfirmed by Raf, I believe WW is right. Since he'll be gone for a week, though... "I only work in black and sometimes very, very dark grey." Uh, guys? We're about to crash into the sun. "Yeah, but it's gonna look really cool." "Here he comes. Cover your butts." "I super-hate you." George
  9. Sittin' here resting my bones And this loneliness won't leave me alone George
  10. In this TV-movie, an enemy's attempt to disrupt the marriage of a Thai ruler and his schoolmistress fiancée is thwarted by a pair of secret agents, disguised as a tennis pro and his coach. Starring You Brynner, Deborah Kerr, Bill Cosby, and Robert Culp. George
  11. I was thinking of "Victory"; but that actually STARS Pele, it doesn't REFER to him... George
  12. No. Although this movie has a plot, its main purpose seems to be the star mocking his earlier roles, and the larger franchise, in general. This was the first R-rated movie to open above $100 million at the U.S. box office. (On April Fool's Day, the star tweeted that it would be rated PG-13, causing intense rage in the character's fans. He admitted the prank, and said it would be R.) George
  13. He DOES look a little like him, though less sinister. George
  14. Chicago Catherine Zeta Jones The Mask of Zorro George
  15. Not an A-lister, but definitely a recognizable actor. "The Shoveler" would have given it away, for me. Dudley Frank Dr. David Morgenstern "Tick Tock" McGlaughlin Little Bill Jerry Lundegaard The Shoveler Maj. Caldwell Frank Gallagher Bernie Lootz Paul Kirby George
  16. Like How I Met Your Mother, a popular show which I never watched. :) George
  17. I suspect that this might be a when the answer is revealed, but that's not enough info for me to get it quickly, anyway. George
  18. To be fair, here, VP originally used Bullinger's "all without exception" and "all without distinction" verbatim. The problem is that "all without distinction" was within a particular class (or subset), and so, there is an inherent distinction between that subset and "everyone" or "everything." In later years, TWI used "all with distinction" for that reason. George
  19. Before I move on to Supergirl, a note about Gotham: Pee-Wee Herman as Penguin's dad? Where have I seen that before? Oh, right: Batman Returns! :)/> The best part of the latest Supergirl: Chocos! These Oreo-like treats were introduced by Keith Giffen during his run on Justice League. Intended as a joke (as was most of his Justice League), J'onn's craving for them has remained as official lore. Whereas Power Girl might have gotten surly from over-caffeinated drinks, J'onn was a hulking brute when deprived of his Chocos: George
  20. Although this movie has a plot, its main purpose seems to be the star mocking his earlier roles, and the larger franchise, in general. George
  21. Dudley Frank Dr. David Morgenstern "Tick Tock" McGlaughlin Little Bill Jerry Lundegaard The Shoveler Maj. Caldwell George
  22. I may have heard it, but Neil Young's voice sounds to me like fingernails on a chalkboard. :o :) George
  23. Looking forward to Supergirl, tonight. Back story on Martian Manhunter/Hank Henshaw. George
