  2. Jeast, I'm glad you had the love of God and the love of family (some, anyway) to get you through. The Countess and I have only been married 10 years, but then we didn't get started as early as you! ;) God bless you, George
  3. Look in thy glass and tell the face thou viewest Now is the time that face should form another; Whose fresh repair if now thou not renewest, Thou dost beguile the world, unbless some mother. George
  4. The Game Sean Penn Fast Times at Ridgemont High George
  5. I see that they've got the "Singing Ladies of the Way" choreography down pat. :) George
  6. I believe that that's Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky." George
  7. You all make valid points. I guess what I'm asking is, did anyone ever see VP studying the Bible (or at least commentaries)? I suppose he actually spent time with his "Research Department," where there would be some study, discussion, etc. Perhaps that's a complete misconception, as well. Maybe he just told them to study so he could present the results; or, worse, told them to prove some particular point of his theology. I don't know if Research Geek could chime in here, or maybe Don't Worry Be Happy. Of course, if NO ONE can say they saw Vic study the Word, that probably answers my question. George
  8. "You're not so tough, you know that? How many people have you killed? Ten? Twenty?" "You talk a lot." "I talk a lot because you don't talk at all. Now, how many?" "Including little girls?" "I'm not afraid of you. I told Helen you wouldn't be so ugly if you cut your hair." "In fact, you talk all the time. It's like a storm when you're around!" "If I ever see him again, I'm going to cut open his head and eat his brain." "Let's have an intelligent conversation here: I'll talk, and you listen." "Don't just stand there, kill something!" George
  9. Consider yourself nouthetically admonished (or whatever that silly Way phrase was, back in the day)! George
  10. Obviously some sort of space storm threatening DS9, but it doesn't ring a bell. George
  11. I wouldn't have minded using a flipper as the clue if it hadn't had the word "Flipper" written on it... Well, I'll post one a little later. George
  12. Still up for grabs. Anyone want to post a new show? George
  13. Just wondering. My guess is that he actually read it a lot in the early years, along with several others' work, to understand it. He "borrowed" the others' work, of course; but I'm not trying to start another plagiarism thread. Many of you were involved with VP pretty early on, and through the later years. Did he actually spend a lot of (or any?) time "working the Word"? I'm not discussing his "mastery" of Greek or Hebrew, but I would expect that he could use a concordance, etc. He claimed to spend several hours a day doing this. I just wonder if he actually tried to learn something. George
  14. You can probably call your credit card company and stop the transaction. Just a thought...did you try running down to the local Wal-Mart, or Lowe's, or... to see their prices? Not only can you be sure of what you're getting, but there are no shipping charges. George
  15. The first two clues are in your lists. Don't think so hard about the third. George "Sexretary"? I love it!
  16. I do believe you're right. "Chronicles of Narnia," no doubt. George
  17. And here I thought I was being so clever. Good work, PD! George
  18. But I "Can't Get Next to You," Dooj! The Temptations. George
