  1. Cool story. Dave! I hope you really do intend to make the Houston shindig in Nov. I'd love to meet you in person. George
  2. The trick to this one is: do you actually know the title? It's clear that you recognize the song!) George
  3. That actually is one of the lyrics, though perhaps you know that. Here's another: A little Victor Sylvester and Rudy Valentino! George
  4. So close. So damn close! Though there are many of these in the first picture, the clue refers to only one. The second clue is a symbol for what? George
  5. Could be. The quotes seem vaguely familiar, but I can't place them. George
  6. Hiway, you're a winner in my book. This was actually from the third part of a three-story arc. The episode was titled "The Augments." Go on, Hiway. You're up. George
  7. Uh, Raf, maybe it's Dobie Gill-liz? I think it's your turn. Though, if memory serves, wasn't the actual title "The Loves of Dobie Gillis"? Geroge
  8. Another classic oldie. Nice puzzle, too! George
  9. Nice pic of Liz Taylor, but I'm having trouble figuring out what the other two pictures are! George
  10. Thanks, Doc. Again, the march is titled "Jacob" after my older grandson (my "big pal"). It was performed in a concert by the Brazosport College and Community Band last Apr. 9. Jacob thought it was great that "Poppa was singing to him." (I also play baritone saxophone in the band.) It was the first piece I've written using Finale software. In the past, I had hand-written all the parts. It takes longer to write the score using the software, but the parts are all extracted immediately, saving about two weeks of writer's cramp! I think my manuscript hand is pretty readable, but I think the players enjoyed a printed version, for a change. George
  11. Okay, this one's from memory, so it may be a slight paraphrase: Eugenics isn't the answer. It's CYBERnetics! Of course, this could take a couple of generations to get right. I'd beter get to work! George
  12. I have Nero StartSmart on my computer. I haven't used it before, but I think I was able to convert it to an mp4 file. I've e-mailed it to Sudo, but I'll try to attach it here, as well. George Apparently, I can't upload an mp4 file here, either. Hopefully, Sudo will be able to convert it to some other format. Let's see what you're made of, Witch-boy!
  13. Well, the "cda file" appears to be a shortcut. I'll try attaching the march right from the CD, but I think I'm having a problem with read/write permissions. George Still not getting it. How do I convert the file on CD to something I can actually store (and attach to a post)?
  14. Well, Sudo, Here's something a little different. As you may know, I write marches (about one a year) and am fortunate enough to have the Brazosport Community Band perform them. Assuming I can attach this file correctly, here's the one I wrote last year, entitled "Jacob." Most of my marches have biblical titles, but this one is really for my older grandson. George P.S. A recent picture of both of my grandsons is in the Gallery. Hmm. It doesn't seem to be attaching. It's a cda file, if that makes any difference. It comes up fine on my computer in Windows Media Player. Help!
  15. If it's all the same to you, then yes, I will try my hand. George
  16. There was a picture starring Margeaux Hemmingway entitiled "Lipstick." Is that it? George
  17. Sorry, I'm not great at picking out people with miniscule roles, so you'll just have to deal with Liam Neeson Leap of Faith Debra Winger George
  18. It was from Enterprise, but not the episode you named. I'l give a more obvious clue later. George
  19. Raf is always glad to lend a hand. Go, Dooj. George
  20. Go for it, Dreamer! (You'll get there, Suda!) George
  21. Glad to have you playing! If hubby can't show you how to post pics from the Internet, take a look at p. 22 of this thread. George
  22. "How long can we sustain warp five?" "As long as the Captain wants it. Or until we blow up, whichever comes first." George
