  1. It's amazing to think that the group that did so much "serious" rock had these little, goofy songs: "Maxwell's Magic Hammer," "Rory Raccoon," "An Octopus's Garden," "Yellow Submarine." Gotta love 'em! George
  2. Well, I was wrong. I have seen the movie a number of times, but I only recognized your last quote! George
  3. Dooj, you're very close, just missing one word. Instead of the whole fingerprint, think of a FEATURE of the fingerprint. Admittedly, this is not a word in common usage. I try to make my pictionaries sound as close to the title as possible, without necessarily using the exact words of the title. For instance, if I were to do "Ordinary People," I might choose the words OAR, DEAN, ERIE, PEEP, and PULL. I would probably NOT use WORD, AND, HAIRY, and PURPLE. Tom, if you want to use the properties (and your heart condemneth you not), go ahead. Just please don't post clues that you've discovered that way. It ruins the fun for me. Frankly, there's an even EASIER way to get the answer. I wrote about it many pages ago. George Wel, Rhino just posted the answer while I was pontificating. The fingerprint contains WHORLs. You're up, Rhino.
  4. This one could be tough, but if you get the first clue, it will all fall into place (which means if you check the properties, it will be very easy): George
  5. LAWN + GOULD + BOY = "The Long Goodbye"? George
  6. You may have seen this movie several times. I've not seen it once. "What Dreams May Come"? George
  7. Yeah, Ex, but Houston had a BIG Way presence years ago. There are probably hundreds of (at least one-time) TWIts around, though it is unlikely that you would find an ACTIVE grad. George
  8. As far as I know, Elliot Gould has never been in front of my house. George
  9. Kathy, I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that "Last Kiss" was one of the few songs that immediately cause me to change the station. "When a Man Loves a Woman" is another! I can imagine women like it, because it makes the man a total fool, but any guy actually listening to the lyrics should be outraged. The woman cheats, but he doesn't care? He blows off his best friend for pointing it out? He SLEEPS IN THE RAIN because SHE SAYS SO?? Not in MY neighborhood! It would be like expecting women to like Lou Christie's "Lightnin' Strikes." George
  10. I still think it's cheating to look at the properties. As Rhino pointed out, I might as well just post a list of words, and see if you can sound them out. Tom (and Linda), if you feel the need to look at the properties, then don't tell the rest of us what they are. Dooj, I said "poser" and I meant "poser." We're all "posters," but the one who poses the puzzle is a "poser." This is not meant in the pejorative sense in common use today. :) The second picture is Elliot Gould. Other than that, I'm at a loss. (And I feel no less a man because of it.) George
  11. "Big Trouble in Little China"? George
  12. Tom, if you're going to peek at the properties, don't give hints. It's like googling the answer in "Name that Tune." If players are stumped, the poser can give clues. George
  13. Incidentally, Rhino isn't 100. He just looks it. Happy birthday, Dude! George
  14. If Bon Jovi did "Travelling Band," then it's an acceptable answer. Bon Jovi doing "Travelling Band," however, is NOT acceptable!! Is NOTHING sacred?? :D George
  15. Bon Jovi did a version of "Traveling Band"? George
  16. I can't remember the name of LCM's re-tread of Christian Family and Sex, but I seem to remember him berating the teen sex at ROA in that, as well. George
  17. No. I know what you're getting at, of course, but someone will actually have to give the movie's title. George
  18. No, but I googled, and it turns out I had the lyric slightly wrong. Should be Someone got excited, had to call the state militia. George
  19. Someone got excited, and they called the state militia. George
  20. If it's right, it was a good clue to a fair movie. George
  21. "Dead Man's Curve" by Jan and Dean. George
