I believe you're right. I can almost hear Katherine and Henry saying it now. George

As much as I enjoy a good, spirited debate, I was really only trying to find out what the current status of TWI teaching on the subject was. Penguin summed it up in her(?) first post. If anyone actually knows why LCM changed the doctrine, other than just to show he could, it would be interesting to know that. George

My single days pretty much pre-dated the online thing, though I did belong to a video dating service for five years and enjoyed it immensely. I met a few whackos, but most of the women were very nice; a few are still good friends. I know two couples who met online, and they're doing fine. Are you asking for yourself, Cowgirl? I thought you were "taken." George

"Pretty Woman"? George

Okay, how about "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"? George

Remarkably, I recognize the first person as Justice Thurgood Marshall. "Thurgoods and Mick"? Just kidding. George

Just wondering (I hope it hasn't been addressed here already)... VPW (the Man of God for his day) said that the manifestation of prophecy was in evidence in the OT. LCM (the Man of God for HIS day) said that it wasn't. (OT "prophecy" was revelation.) What is TWI's current teaching on this? George

I had that first impression, too! I believe, however, that it's a big storm beginning to envelop a city. George

Tom, would you favor Doojable with a reply? George

Sudo's film clip came up great for me. George And I didn't see the Honor Blackman episodes until a couple of years ago when the Mystery Encore Channel ran all the Avengers episodes (well, not including the "New Avengers" episodes). I remember my sister telling me about a show called "The Avengers." Being the comic-book afficionado that I am, I assumed it featured the Marvel comic-book group. I was disappointed at first, but grew to enjoy the show immensely. Sure, it was oddball; tha's what made it so interesting.

Sounds like an interesting movie. Maybe I'll rent it (when I find out what it is). George

Of all of Steed's partners, I think I liked "Tara King" (Linda Thorson) best. Tara King George

The "Mike Hammer" theme was "Harlem Nocturne." I don't recognize this theme, though it does sound like a cop/P.I.-type show. George

I don't know. I just felt that somebody should say SOMETHING after three days! :) George

I declare Tom the winner, no matter how hard he tried to give it to Dooj. The comedienne's name is Thea Vidal THEA (or D.A.) + V.A. + THOR = "The Aviator." George

Okay. Here's a revised version of the same puzzle. This should be easier. George

I believe his initials are B.I., Cowgirl. George

It's a flattering photo. She really is, shall we say, "Rubenesque." I don't know if this will help, but I'm looking for her first name. Her last name is Vitale. George

Warning: This "Nazarite vow" thing always bothered me. There's a whole lot more to the Nazarite vow than long hair. No drinking, for instance. No touching a dead body. (A supposition here: does this also mean not CAUSING any dead bodies? Samson did a LOT of that.) Apparently, though, only the hair thing was pertinent to Samson's strength. George

Bluzecentral is blocked at work. I'm sure someone else will have the answer before I get home. George

You may not recognize the woman in the first picture. She's a comedienne who had her own TV show (briefly). The rest is pretty easy. George

Things I Wish I Could Make My Kids to Understand

That the reason I won't let you have/do __________ is that I DO love you. I don't care whose parents bought them cars. Earn some money, and get your own. George -
I don't get the picture of the control room, but I'll guess "Hotel Rwanda." George

I was about 10 in the mid-60's. I started listening to music on the radio when the Beatles hit in '64. (I developed an affinity for 50's rock and roll much later.) George
