  1. In the fireplace room behind the couch. In the audio visual dept in Weirwille library. On the highway to Gunnison. On the BLM behind camp Gunnison. Various tents during Corps weekand ROA What do you want to hear. I feel so cheap now.
  2. Niki , thank you for your research in this matter. That is the best presentation on the matter I have ever heard. Would you marry me! NOT! I had some of the spread this weekend. Usually males eat it more so as girls do as I have observed in this culture. Although the young girls eat it with their associative dads and just tolerate it as girls prefer sweets rather than the awful taste we dudes enjoy. It is a guy thing and most importantly sweets are always there for the anyone. Girl power! The Australian culture is so that girls matter and boys too and everyone makes a point of all that. I just enjoy how people think here Niki. I keep reminding myself that I am not in Kansas no more. This is a foreign country. I likee!
  3. Tommy Boy Strange Vegimite is a yeast extract that is quite strange tasting here in Australia. In England it is a beef extract and the Amerimite I an not sure of. But just know it a breakfast thing you put on toast like jam or butter and does some getting used to. I had some this morning. I likee.
  4. When I first saw Simon Zelotes come on, my first thought was what will this babbler say. I am doing well here down under. I am not in Kansas anymore as I remind myself because this is still a foreign country. I have got an excellent job on aircraft components overhaul and they remarkably use the standard I had in the AF for the last twenty years. The job is only ten minutes from the house, quite different from the two hours round trip a day I had. I likee. I will try to call you one day Simon.
  5. excie mate who is it. Context.
  6. Niki the other thing is they all talk different. I strain to understand the deep accent explaining things, just as they do with me. But over all " I likee".
  7. Niki it is similar but not exactly the same thing. They only work 7.6 hours a day only 38 hours per week. Anything over that is over time. They have the same problem with metric/imperial sizes of things so it was good I had both types of wrenches. A lot of words have different words for what we understand but physics and math is the same principle. I am always challenged in staying in the left lane and a few times went the wrong direction. Oops.
  8. Niki I would love to go in the water now but it is winter going into spring here. Today was the first day working in the Aussie society and Aussies are so laid back like I have never seen & ironically they have high standards but still laid back. Niki good on ya mate.
  9. Exie do tell us if you know more for the inquiring minds. Fellowshipper my sister
  10. That's great Martha has that opportunity and just think, she owes it all to PFAL. Glad to see you back exi- babie.
  11. Niki, why is it that when you get 65% of the cleaning done and you come back to the completed part while making your rounds, someone has reclaimed the part you just straightened? And what's with clean horizontal surfaces? These are magnets for laundry or anything else. I sometimes vow to never have any horizontal surfaces in my mansion in glory when I walk the streets of gold.
  12. Johnny Lingo, I am sad to see him go to. He was to much a lefty for me too but hey, there is always someone waiting to fill the void of biased news that the news syndicate alway has an application on file for. America love it or leave it.
  13. Niki, the weather is usually in the mid 40's to mid 50's. Brr, just need to have a sweater along with yourself here. And I hope the honeymoon never stops but it sure is great having a mate as life is much more manageble. The rule in the kitchen is the cook never cleans up oh I don't cook.
  14. Johhny jump up that is a beauteeful story. I once remember in twig a twig goer said he needed thirty bucks for a muffler. The coordinator said to him you don't need the thirty bucks you just need a muffler and the person found one used and functioning. I think we get oriented of throwing money at problems rather than getting a resolution.
  15. Excathreda, My heart goes out to you. My father passed while I was at Gunnison while in residence and you just like me will always miss him and wished you could have spent more time with him but anyway. My prayers are with you, just be strong.
  16. Where is the rest of the ninth corps that don't know about this buteeful site? Maybe there is another site they are on or just copped out. Talk among yourselves.
  17. Niki we decided to wait until September as it is the best weather to go up in Yarra Valley over the vineyards. We are going up with another couple.
  18. Johnny lingerer I got your e-mail thanks. The devil at time possesses the internet, you just have to cast it out.
  19. Whatever happened to Simon? Ya know Simon my girls always ask how you are doing and I just say He's home dealing with business and life and his family. They often talk about that Sqaw hill we climbed. Such lasting memories. Some of them dealt with cactus thorns which I reminded them it is part of the experience.
  20. Yes, and I also have an OU Sooner t-shirts. I'll just sit in front of the barbie and drink a few pints thinking of home, you guys and V.B. (Victoria Bitters) and me
  21. Could someone light a sparkler for me for Independence day as these Aussies don't have one? Thanks.
  22. Jonny, thanks for the grats. We haven't had a proper honeymoon as my kids were leaving in a few days but that will happen. This weekend or next we are going on a hot air balloon ride over the grape vinyards after a champayn breakfast. Hope we don't fall out. Criky.
  23. The kids got on the plane back to the states this morning. What an empty feeling of seeing them off. Most common phrases I hear is how ya going emphasis on going. G'day mate, he's a fair dinkum mate. No worries, no drama, cheers, good on ya. Julia is my interuptor I mean interpreter so I can understand the Auckers. Don't care for Foster beer but have a liking for Victoria Bitter lager. yummy. It'll set ya free.
  24. Thanks ya'll. Hows. Nikis' High Country adventure? I remember the song it is playing in my ear from our ninth Corps graduation at Gunnison.
