Ababababa? No. It's hard enough to read silently. Reading this stuff is like listening to Kanye hold forth. So cringe. So stupid. How stupid, you ask? Four-crucified stupid, that's how. Tsingtao!

If only victor could have believed big enough to live long enough, he could have become teachable. And in being teachable, he might have gotten taught. So much he could have learned. Bless his little heart. Kuala Lumpur Mogadishu Chiquita.

If it’s upon him and not in him, does he really have it to give? Like this pen, see…. I wonder if Jesus’ bastard Jew status had anything to do with the impermanence of his iron man suit. You know those Jews… (sigh) Anyway, he’s absent now, dontcha know?

It's obvious Paul is talking about the value of understandability in the assembly. Even when the chapter is cherry picked, it's obvious he values an understandable prophesy over tongues, even over tongues with interpretation. Yeah, that's better, but still not as good as prophesy that anyone and everyone can understand. What does verse 19 say?

Maybe that was it. The distinction of on vs in. Jesus had spirit on him but not in him? So much bullshonta... so much... it's hard to keep track. Anyway, Jesus is absent now. So, there's that. And God has his binoculars, so He can see us from a great distance. So, there's that, too. So much to be grateful for.

I thought Jesus didn't have holy spirit. That's why Pentecost was so important. That having holy spirit was something the Jews didn't have. That's the distinguishing feature of those in the family or household. That's how we are to do the greater works. I could be misremembering.

According to victor, was this lower case holy spirit? And what does this have to do with tongues?

Not just stupid - four-crucified stupid! Do you know where in the Bible Jesus teaches how (H-O-W) to speak in tongues, as Mike claims?

Maybe it was in John? I'm not finding it in Matthew. I wish Mike could remember.

Thanks, Socrates. Gosh, this doesn't sound like anyone teaching how (H-O-W). But, Hey! Anyone can make it MEAN anything they want. Glove fitting. This is in Acts, right?

Can no one point me to the verses in the Bible (any version, any translation) where Jesus is teaching how (H-O-W) to speak in tongues?

Right. Undecided. That day I leaned toward determinism. Today I lean toward compatibility. I haven't taken a position. I don't think it's a trivial issue. I don't know. The not knowing doesn't bother me. I've been familiar with Dan Dennett and Sam Harris since before you learned to spell Dan and Sam.

My math shows about 8000 spread across all (without exception or distinction) fifty states. It's a rough mathematical sketch. One, not me, might call it a beta model. The formulation is based on the six (6) adherents (two of them Corps from the late '70s) in my metro area of 250,000, assuming the U.S. population is 332,000,000.

I don’t have RHST. I’ll repeat: Since Mike can’t remember, will someone please point me to where Jesus teaches how (H-O-W) to speak in tongues?
