  5. chwester,,,,do you now a herbal pain releiver for a pinched psychiatic nerve? Ginger...I'll see what I can do...they just this past week began tearing the club house down,,,building a new one, supposed to ready in 2005 I think. I really prefer the infield, less formal attire is required, refreshments and porta cans are closer too. Pehaps I'll hit the lottery between now and then and we can sit on Millionaires Row, you don't have to swallow the mint leaves up there.
  6. Too funny Hills and Alfakat.....the tejas farm "moon shot" was enroute on the bus....I saw it live through the rear view mirror while trying to drive the broken down old bus we were in . Evan probably should show up with more incite on that. And yes congratulations! I learned many things from you elder sixth Corps. Jon Mahoney taught me ten different ways to prepare chikken and wash it down wif Budweiser. Thanks for the memories and I wish you all much happiness and success in the next twenty five years.

  8. nah....sogwap51..we still check in occassionally...hey Doulosman...if'n yeeeer still in southern Hoosier land yer only about and hour or so from me...give me a holler some time. I once heard that Hoosiers were hillbilly's from Kentucky who ran out of money before they got to Chicago. You can climb the state tree up there and look south and see the promised land...and in case you didn't know, the state tree is a telephone pole.
  9. Since I drive a truck fer livin....my favorite book is Billy Big Rigger's Road McNally!!!

  12. Since no one knew......it's a telephone pole!
  13. Who knows what the state tree is in Ohio?
  14. RG..do you know the song by Little Jimmie Dickens called...Take a Cold Tater An' Wait! LOL....the last bag of taters I bought had an inscription label that said "Eat five a Day to Keep the Doctor away! Do you rub yer tater in salad or peanut oil and poke wif' a fork before baking? It helps excellerate baking time. I can make a nice baked tater in about two and a half minutes in the microwave also....send money for secret recipe..please!
  15. RG......it dosen't really matter what you use....whatever your cooking don't care. The people eatin' might tho! Just make sur it's prepared wif' love. I use a big truck tire rim with some cut holes in it fer air drawin wif' a stainless steal Winn-Dixie grocery cart chopped up to fit on the truck tire rim. It is alo portable! I use some local good grade of seasoned hickory wood to get the fire started and after the wood burns down a little throw on some hickory chip charcoal tokeep it going...now all we need is meat or vegies on a shishkabob. A little fine homemade wine to wash it all down with never hurts either! And I apologize to the last Greasespotters I cooked out with for leaving the wine in the live well of me boat. Won't happen agin!
  16. AintMeBabe....drop by...I'll give ya some high dollar memorabillia.....might pay the gas fare!
  17. I hears ya George......wish I could be there and help ya drown some of them freshly tied fly's!
  18. Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mom's !!! On Wings Of Love One calm, sunshiny day an Angel ventured out of heaven to find the most enduring of all things on earth. He roamed field and forest, city and hamlet; and just as the sun went down, he plumed his wings and said, "Now my visit is over, and I must go back to the heaven of light. But before I go I must gather some momentoes of my visit on earth." He looked over into a beautiful flower garden, and said, "How lovely and fragrent these flowers are." And he plucked the rarest roses, and made a bouquet, and said, " I see nothing more beautiful and more fragrent than these; I will take them with me." But he looked a litte farther, and saw a little bright-eyed, rosy cheeked baby smiling into it's mother's face, and he said, "Oh that baby's smile is prettier than this bouquet; I will take that, too" Then he looked just beyond the cradle, and there was a mother's love pouring out like the gush of a river toward the cradle and the baby, and he said, "Oh that mother's love is the most enduring thing I have seen on earth; I will carry that back with me, also." With the three treasures he winged his way to the pearly gates, and said, "Before I go in, I will examine my momentoes." He looked at the flowers, and they had withered; he looked at the baby's smile, and it had faded; he looked at the mother's love, and there it was in all its pristine beauty and fragrance! The Angel threw aside the withered flowers and faded smile, then winged his way through the pearly gates, called all the hosts of heaven together, and said, "Here is the only thing I found on earth that would keep it's fragrance all the way to heaven --- a mother's love."
