  1. Congratulations there Mr and Mrs Lifted Up! I wondered when I read this if you recited the books of Thessalonians to her for a gift. I pray all is well with you both and the kido's are doing wonderful ! Littlehawk!
  2. I got rained in today and checked out the website. Looks like a terrific place to have the third annual weenie roast. I see no personal watercraft are allowed so I won't have to bring my boat this year. I still think camping out is the way I'll go unless someone wants to do a fisherman cabin together. I am willing to bring the fixin's fer some weenie roast bambi stew. And I also have plenty of sausage for some of Rascal's famous biscuit and gravy. I know since the place is a state park, firearms and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. So we should all only bring bottled water to drink. And maybe rent a group cabin to drink it in. The map of the park looks like the place is spreadout somewhat, so maybe we need a locale coordinator to go along wif the food and entertainment coordinator's so we aren't spread out all over the park. Perhaps we should have a designated meeting time and place too. Sometimes after drinking too much bottled water one might have the urge to enter the wrong cabin. Lookin forward to meeting the old timers and new faces too this year! Littlehawk

  6. I apologize fer not givin ya directions on storing it Steve! First off I want to tell ya ya was lucky even gettin' it cause we was havin such a good time at ya weddin' that I did'nt think any of it survived. But seeing as how you and Chinny survived tha hooneymoon and didn't drink it then I owe you both a special congratulations and may have to see that ya got yer own special bottle for this yr's weenie roast! Now, what I would recomend for that bottle is this. I'fn memory serves me correct,,,,I put it in a plastic water bottle! I would put it in the frezzer and save it to wash down the top layer of that beautiful wedding cake on ya first anniversary,,,,,and if'n ya don't have plenty of people around to help ya out then,,,,then save the rest for ya fifty year anniversary! Yer Friendly Tour Guide to tha Bourbin Regions of Tha Bluegrass State....Littlehawk!

  9. Raf...I think ya'll would make a lovely couple. I also recall speaking at length with her mother and having illusions of how her and I would fair. We were the same age too. Now thats scary huh......Raf fer a son-in-law. I guess I better make note to contact match-maker sista Suz and get busy makin more par juice!
  10. I have not considerded anyone's statements here spitefull, misleading or otherwise detrimental to my future devlopement as a Greasespotter or any other type spotter for that matter. Socks...I have a friend that is a taxidermist and he recently told me of a story about this woman who brought in two deceased pet monkeys to have them stuffed. And when he aked her how she would like to have them mounted , she simply replied, holding hands will be fine. Perhaps we all need to hold hands a little more often as we recall our former Wayfer days. And as only the right reverend Raf can pronounce in a comforting journalistic sort of way.....HalleUJAH! And Uncle Hairy .....thanks for the thought provoking thread!
  11. Scam......is that word in the dictionary? I have heard of the word scamillus. Scamillus is used in Roman Architecture to describe a bench or steping stone. And in the art of brick masonarry its used to describe the block that a pillar rest on. So in that light perhaps my Way Corps experience was a scam. I came into the Way Corps program upon leaving active duty in the Navy, so perhaps I looked at it different from many. I liked your analogy Socks! Your truly a wise man. I enjoyed my time there immensly for better or for worse. I look back upon it each day as the everyday work routine unfolds. I do not believe I would do it again , but still remain thankfull for the opportunity to have been a part of it.
  12. Congrats!!!! Happy for you both, have a wonderful time!
  13. Happy birthday gal.....ya next trip to tha bluegrass I'll buy you and yours a birthday dinner,,,,stop by, I might even find an after dinner toast!
  14. Zix......thats quite an accomplishment...but all I can say is Go Navy!
  15. Chinny....I apologize for not sending you and RSVP. I will put it in the mail tommorrow. I was waiting on work schedule and to see if Cory was coming with me. See ya's soon.
  16. hey lady cat from tallahassee......do we know each other from puerto rico days gone by...give me a holler sometime.
  17. And since I haven't figured out how to start a new thread here and knowing your being tha hostess wif tha mostest Valerie, another 7th Corps sister that I sponsered I'd love to chat with again someday ,perhaps you know Dierde Flick's whereabouts?
  18. hey Johnny and Val.....was wondering if'n ya hve located Linda......would love to say howdy to her also! Thanks Littlehawk!
  19. hey Johnny ,,,I wasn't aware that you and Bruce were friends,,,perhaps yer still in touch wif him. He and I were close at one time also,,,he helped when I ran the first pfal class at new london submarine base back in the early seventies. Sure would love to touch base with him! Perhaps you can help! Thanks!!!!
  20. Like I said in my first post here, I might bemistaken,,,,will some of you movie bufs clue me in?,,,, Was not this movie first shown in aramaic or hebreew diaogue first? What is your take on Mel's wanting to show the muslem world what Christ really suffered? Do you really think he was trying to awaken Christendom in the USA? Please feel free to answer,,,anxiously awaiting!
  21. I think same sex marriages are wrong,,,,but who I am to voice an oppinion,,, no one! But I do think,,, the longer its debated here , the more opinions are gona stay tha same, I hope all you that voice yer opinions show up at the polls come November 2, 2004. That is where we will really see tha future of tha demise or proliferation of this lifestyle, at least while we are alive to witness it in this day and time! No wonder kido's in schools are shooting at each other nowadays.....they don't even know who is mom and who is pop,,,they have to make a choice.....is it gona be george or georgette? Sam or Samantha,,,,,,,I can remember a day that that the pheonics of the name didn't matter near as much as the heart and soul of the person standing in front of it! Perhaps its time for those wif heart and soul to stand up and be heard, DOWN WITH GAYS & LESBIANS!!!!!!
  22. Perhaps I am mistaken,,,but I think the movie was originally done in aramaic or hebrew and shown first in moslem countries. Perhaps its Mel's retaliation of 9-11-2001. Maybe he just wants to show tha world that the Christian infidel's aren't so bad after all!
  23. I too apologize for the derail Chinny,,,,,I am sure yer gona look great in ya dress. Really I was referring to a bottle of wine an shine as his and hers protection equipement....a little dab will do ya....and I am sure it'll keep ya from hurting each other! YYeeee Hawwwww!
  24. Chinny... I am gona do me best to be there......and I ain't disposin of no camera... LOL,,, I may never go to Chicago again... I want something to remind my grandkids that I did really visit tha windy city once! Do you and Steve have yer concealed weapons permit? If so, I have a his an hers special fer ya!
