"The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and..." "Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?" "Exactly." "Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?" "Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten."

1."Hello, and welcome to "TV Car Trivia!" First question, who was the driver of a '73 Firebird? Uh, Otto?" 2."Uh, Jim Rockford, "Rockford Files"." 3."Gimme "Columbo"." 4."A Peugeot convertible." 1."What color?" 4."Gray." 5."How do you know that?" 4."'Cause I love that show." 5."Man, I got three words for all of y'all: Get a life!" 6."What's on Magnum P.I.'s license plate?" 7."ROBIN-1" 4."Wait, wasn't Robin that faggoty guy that always hung with him?" 8."Naw, that was Higgins. That was Higgins." 2."Hey, hey, ten points for our fearless leader. Sway, how about giving us the Bill Bixby trifecta?" 3."Drove a Corvette in "The Magician", a Ford pickup truck in "The Incredible Hulk", and in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father", he walked. " This remake did well enough in the box office, but I can't help think part of that was due to the advertising. One supporting character was made to look like a main character with most of the screen-time. This is one of the appearances in media of the "coroner with an iron stomach" type of thing. When one character answers the phone, he's at work in a crematorium. He puts down his sandwich- on the corpse- to answer the phone. "If his unpleasant wounding has in some way enlightened the rest of you as to the grim finish beneath the glossy veneer of criminal life, then his injuries carry with it an inherent nobility, and a supreme glory. We should all be so fortunate. You say 'poor Toby'? I say 'poor us'. " Cast includes Delroy Lindo, Christopher Eccleston, Giovanni Ribisi, Arye Gross.

I could have gotten this one with more lyrics. Like "You could roll around the globe And never find a warmer soul to know."

That's it. We mixed "Muppets Most Wanted" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2281587/?ref_=nv_sr_5 with "Wanted" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0493464/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 with "Wanted: Dead or Alive." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094293/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 That last one's protagonist is a decendant of Steve Mc Queen's protagonist in the TV show of the same name. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051327/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4

Almost have it.. Except "World" does not describe the short friends whose names are associated with JIM HENSON AND FRANK OZ (but not this time.)

Stealth triple movie. In this movie, a frustrated office worker discovers that he inherited his dad's superhuman killing abilities, which were an asset for his father, a professional assassin. (You guys figured this part out.) In his first time out to use the skills, he covers his tracks by framing a bunch of short friends for European jewel heist, partly by employing a look-alike for their nominal leader. (This movie was pretty recent.) They flee and go into hiding, and cross the path of a legacy (descended) bounty hunter, who's also looking into the jewel heist and the would-be assassin for the CIA, in their search for global terrorists. Actors include: Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy, Terrence Stamp, (You figured out that part.) Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey, (and others, each in many roles), but not Frank Oz and not Jim Henson. (How is one actor in "many roles", and how are a few actors "each" in many roles?) Rutger Hauer, Gene Simmons, Robert Guillaume (but NOT Steve Mc Queen.) (Legacy bounty hunter, who's not played by Steve Mc Queen. Why is he being mentioned at all when he's not in the movie?)

That's interesting. It's off the 1973 "Greetings from Asbury Park." The songs remembered off that, much later, are "Blinded by the Light" and "Spirits in the Night." (I thought about posting that one but figured I'd be the only one here and now who'd remember it.) Manfred Mann covered it in 1977. Oh, and "All I Want for Christmas is You."
-
I'm not. I'm going in official airdate order and am watching the terrorist bomb. (It was out of order in the US but not other places.)
-
Grace Kelly was not in "Casablanca."

AHEM!!!! How is naming 2 movies in a TRIPLE ending the turn? We have the 2nd and third movies named. It was the 2nd I described, and the first in the title. It's still unnamed. It's the movie with the jewel heist and the lookalike. And it is DEFINITELY my category of movie, or at least really was, once. You MIGHT have seen it, and it was fairly recent.
-
It is. The first one is "Operation Repo." ("Operacion Repo" or "Operacion Rescate" depending on where you live.)

Ok, I've got 2 shows that began as Spanish-language shows and crossed over to English shows in the US. Name either one for this round. This show premiered on Telemundo in 2006 (US-based Spanish channel) and became it's #1 show. In 2008, a version in English premiered. The show was a re-enactment of their daily lives at their job- with, of course, emphasis on the INTERESTING jobs. The actors were all the employees playing themselves. The company handled repossessions, generally of cars. This show was based on the third most famous telenovela in history. The original aired 1999 to 2001, but has re-aired in syndication starting in 2009 and re-airs to this day, depending on the country and the network. The original was from Columbia, and in the US, the original has aired, as has a Spanish remake and a US English remake. The English remake aired from 2006 to 2010. It's set in in the NYC fashion scene, and has been filmed in NYC and in California.

You made a number of claims of things people added or changed. Do you have any kind of RELIABLE SOURCE for any of them, something people could check and confirm you are correct (or check and catch errors too important to let slip), or is it just "you'll have to take my word on all of this"?

That's it, but I always remember the cover that Bruce Springsteen at least as well. The other song was Springsteen's "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)". I used to hear this song air a lot- but apparently, NYC classic rock stations and rock stations are weird that way. Maybe because Bruce is from Jersey, but I think the song really rocks, especially Clarence Clemon's saxophone work towards the end.
-
Apparently not. That was a lot of lyrics. Ok, different song, same artist. "Some silicone sister with her manager's mister told me I got what it takes. She said, "I'll turn you on, sonny, to something strong if you play that song with the funky break". And Go-Cart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart to see if it was safe to go outside. And little Early-Pearly came by in her curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride."
-
Right. You could go from the first to the third without losing any part of the answer. It's a good title for connecting things. Now if you get the title it connects to in FRONT, then you should be all set.

I kept picturing the character as very young. Not Danny Glover alongside the "LETHAL WEAPON."

"Spread out now Rosie, Doctor come cut loose her mama's reins. You know playin' 'blind man's bluff' is a little baby's game You pick up Little Dynamite, I'll pick up Little Gun And together we're gonna go out tonight and make that highway run." "Now, I know your mama, she don't like me, 'cause I play in a rock and roll band, And I know your daddy, he don't dig me, but he never did understand. Your papa lowered the boom, he locked you in your room-- I'm comin' to lend a hand. I'm comin' to liberate you, confiscate you, I want to be your man. Someday we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny. But now you're sad, your mama's mad And your papa says he knows that I don't have any money. Your papa says he knows that I don't have any money. Oh, your daddy says he knows that I don't have any money. Well, tell him this is his last chance to get his daughter in a fine romance 'Cause a record company, Rosie, just gave me a big advance! And my tires were slashed and I almost crashed, but the Lord had mercy. And my machine, she's a dud, out stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Jersey. Well, hold on tight, stay up all night, 'cause Rosie, I'm comin' on strong. By the time we meet the morning light, I will hold you in my arms. I know a pretty little place in Southern California, down San Diego way. There's a little cafe, where they play guitars all night and all day. You can hear them in the back room strummin' So hold tight, baby, 'cause don't you know Daddy's comin'?"

One way to stop a big fire is to isolate it, and deny it fuel, and it will burn itself out. Now, when young people hear of twi, they can look it up online and learn all about it. If they visit, they find this is a tired, expired group composed of old folks. Those 2 are generally enough to chase away the youngsters. Older folk aren't joiners, and even if they were, twi DOESN'T WANT older folks to join because they're not considered efficient assets. So, what's the point? ===================== Furthermore, twi grew because vpw fooled a handful of dedicated, genuine Christians (from the House of Acts) to join his group and become its recruitment arm. (He never told them that's why he ever approached them, but his long-term strategy with them was VERY successful.) The world lacks the zeitgeist that vpw exploited, and they don't have the people to exploit the current Christians. So, twi's circling the drain, a ministry dying from the roots upwards.
