Even when I was IN, I wasn't thrilled with lcm's anti-Catholicism rants. (Not that I have any love for the organization, but Christ died for Roman Catholics as well as twiglets, Greasespotters, and Christian werewolves. :)--> ) I didn't see any profit in simple bashing of Christians OR organizations. WORSE, lcm ranted against "Apostolic Succession" and "Papal Infallibility", and darned if he didn't carry on as if both applied to HIM. I've not agreed with all Jean Paul II's doctrine, and I've pointed stuff out when relevant, but, for the most part, I've said I've liked him as popes go, and most of his rap I've been ok with. (Yes, I ended with a preposition. Beat me.)

I at least waited til I met him to give him static over that. I had spent over 2 hours playing "Profiler" and getting in the hacker's head. I had even prowled cyberspace and had a prime suspect. Glad I awaited further events before going after him. And I was mildly amused when I told Paw off for it (mock told-him-off, of course.) So, he knew I wasn't sore. :)-->

You left out the best part!!!! Whenever someone mentioned the taped segment of this, when lcm is trying to "explain" this and is confronted with a roomful of glazed and confused looks, he closes all of the stuff you mentioned with the following "summary": "You don't see that? Well, too bad-I do! *laughs*" In short, acknowledging that nobody but him sees it that way, and acknowledging that THEIR opinions are meaningless in wayworld. ======= "What's the most selfish sexual act?" Now that I stop for an instant to consider the question on the table, I can think of at least one more "selfish" than the one he named, but I'm not naming it because that's as far as I think we should take this discussion in that direction. =========== You also left out the full-colour picture! There's this thing by da Vinci or somebody, depicting Adam, Eve and the devil. It's been supposed that lcm came up with this whole thing based on the one picture. (Or his own insecurities. Whichever.)

Most of my suggestions are probably in the works. They all relate to the ability of new arrivals to be brought up to speed. (Except I'd rename "WayDale Documents" as "Documents".) I'd like a set of articles for the newbies that give thumbnail sketches of the history of twi, decade by decade (one for the 50s, one for the 60s, etc, thru the 00s.) Nothing book-length, just enough so that they get an overview of the major events of that decade. I'd like to see an organized glossary of terms of twi-speak and GSC-speak, which means someone would need to organize the thread we have on that and present it in some sort of coherent order, say, alphabetical, with each term's information all grouped together. It probably would be of benefit to include a tally of twi's moneymaking enterprises, and how much each costs/costed, and when. It would help if the links for where to go if you need professional help were easier to find off the main site. I'd like to see an article on the history of the "Corps Chalet" and so on. I'd like to see a rundown of the books vpw recommended or carried in the bookstore, and their contents (Hunt Close, Myth of the Six Million, etc.) I'd like to see a nice breakdown of the authors vpw ripped off, with examples (Leonard, Stiles, Kenyon, Bullinger). I'd like to see an article on the various luxuries of twi- "your ABS at work", like the planes, snowmobiles, etc, including when the catowner said people should get rid of their cats. I'd also like to see a side-by-side comparison of what is required of lay-leaders in a Christian organization vs what's required of a twig coordinator/Advanced grad. ==== That's what I'd like to see, anyway. Let me know if you need me to work on that glossary.

Three things. A) Thanks for posting. B) If you think there's a negative tone HERE, you should check out some 12-step boards and some OTHER "survivors of" boards. We're "survivors of twi". We're actually pretty chipper compared to a lot of those. C)You think this BOARD "mainly goes over the same basic topics", Maybe. By comparison to twi, however, we can be pretty innovative. A number of subjects here MUST keep coming up, as new people arrive and need to be informed of things they didn't know existed. A number of subjects are new each time. Compare a year of twi with a year of the GSC. Which one gets more repetitive? Even counting the "PFAL is the new Bible" heresy, the threads here demonstrate a LOT more diversity than is PERMITTED in twi. Judge for YOURSELF, please. Compare them side by side. Still.. what results? Perhaps you were not a zealous as I was. In our classes- we read the materials. We worked the books- while we were going through the class. More times than not. Honestly- I could tell you the difference between how Doc handled "needs and wants parallel" in the book AND the film class. I remember even the stinking jokes- even the ones he chose not to put in the PFAL book. We worked over even the most mundane, insignificant crap- people counted how many times he said "Christ in you" in session five- trying to attach some mysterious significance to each "occurence". We debated endlessly why he was justified in omitting "ye think" in John 5:39. In the film class, he really stumbled over that.. almost choked. But there it is, all in it's glory in the written materials. This kind of handling of God's Word is STILL a stumbling block, but not to me anymore. I went as far as to write the entire PFAL book, RHST and more in minature form in my bible. I still have it. The sixty-two page sylabus also forms an appendix in the back of my bible- word for word, charts and all- hand copied, exactly to the letter. I went as far as to take the sylabus, and bracket the verses listed that Dr. only quoted, not directly read. I worked that sucker up and down, inside and out, day and night sometimes- year after year- and a lot of times it STILL did not work. Still. Still at many times, bad stuff happened anyway- believing or not. Sometimes good stuff happened out of the blue- no believing involved. Sometimes good things happened because of God, and because I "believed" and because of what I learned. And life is the same today. I refuse to even open the thing anymore. No more. Got insufficient tools? More honestly- some of the "tools" were not "tools"- they did not work. I remember the tools- some of them I wish I could FORGET. "Fear is believing, it is believing in reverse..." Some of it was good.. other parts were skewed beyond any recognition or pattern of logic. There were times I got some real CRAP and I DID NOT have fear. So.. WHAT results? Honestly- honest question. I showed you mine. Some were OK, some stunk. And a lot of the stuff is pretty personal. Show me yours. What (and I mean in a concrete manner) did it do for you? What is the present "mastering" and labor doing? The difference, Mr Hammeroni, is that you actually MASTERED PFAL, and the Mikean system requires that you follow an esoteric and arbitrary set of rules that sometimes completely contradict the contents of pfal, and sometimes follow the dictates of some spirit Mike doesn't want to discuss. At this time, I'd like to make a CALL FOR ACCLAMATION to declare Mr Hammeroni UNDISPUTED MASTER OF PFAL based on years of painstaking and unrelenting work, exceeding that of any other poster here.

WTH has posted some things that are technically accurate. (And some that aren't.) I don't trust it coming from WTH any more than I trust the woman with the familiar spirit just because she claimed that the disciples were men serving the Most High God. It strikes me that this was meant to lend credibility to less-credible statements made later...

So, does giving precede believing, and believing precede receiving, or does believing precede giving, and giving precede receiving? I think it's the latter. People believe twi's promises, give money, and twi receives the money.

Frankly, I care little what he does. I keep a general eye for announcements about the splinter groups and their leaders and so on, but I'm hardly riveted for news on any one, nor on JAL in particular. The only real interest I have in him is as pertains to ME. That generally means "as pertaining GSC" or another website. THAT usually means "what has Jeff posted somewhere with JAL's name on it, and has JAL approved this message?" This week, it meant JAL's reply to some discussions about his personal life, and how his only involvements with us always seem to preclude anything resembling a civilized discussion on the board, and how he thinks of us as an unruly mob of gossips. Considering many of us were people he purported to lead in the past in one capacity or another, that probably says something about what he thinks of his CURRENT flock as well. If someone advertises they are a good steward, and you hire them in good faith, you can sue them for damages. Then they quit and go looking for another ministry or some other ‘doctor of theology’ or somebody else who will lead them into this “more” abundant life. They go looking for “more” thinking “more” will solve all their problems. [Actually, YOU'RE the one who made this a hypothetical example of some "more abundant life", so it's unfair for you to claim your example was wrong, unless you're lecturing yourself.] Then they lay the blame on somebody or on something else whenever it doesn’t. If you want to see “more” of the more abundant life, start looking at the last place where few people ever dare to look – themselves. Thinking some ministry or minister or some doctor of theology, or a psychiatrist, or by having “more” money and owning “more” things etc. will make you feel “more” secure in life when you can’t steward your own affairs is lying to yourself – plain and simple. And lying grieves the holy spirit – remember? I’ve learned the more abundant life doesn’t exist in the questioning of other people or other things, [Nice try shoehorning in the "you're not allowed to hold leaders accountable" stuff. Didn't work for the ENRON executives, you know. ] as much as it does in questioning myself and my stewardship – of my time, my money and everything else that comes along in my life. I'm skipping the whole "death/paradise" thing because that would take up a whole thread on its own, and we STILL wouldn't all agree. I think it's wrong of the writer to blithely declare the case for that is open and shut, when intelligent Christians can intelligently disagree on it (as we do here, sometimes.) As to the definition of "precious", I think of "precious" gems as well as "semi-precious" gems. The "precious" gems are more costly. That which is more costly is more highly valued. Two Christians own copies of Bullinger's Companion Bible. One owns the hardcover, one owns the leatherbound version. The hardcover is cheaper. Which of them puts the book away in its little case every night? The latter. Why? Because it cost as much as 3-4 other reference books put together. A man owns a Ford Pinto and a Ferrari Testarossa. Each one is damaged by falling concrete. Which one does he freak out over? Right-the Ferrari. It's more costly, and "precious", and it's more treasured by him as a result. I say that the writer did NOT successfully refute the translation of that word as "costly". His "argument" fit that definition just as well. Finally, why have a cow over the Gordon Ricker-Berry Interlinear from the Stephens Text being used, when it's the one people can actually FIND in stores? I happily use it side-by-side with Marchall's Interlinear from the Nestle Text. Considering how many SERIOUS problems there are with vpw's errors, I find it problematic that someone would camouflage them by making THESE look like the most legit criticisms they could find.
