Het Raf, you must have an opinion, and im interested what it is. exy, It has been said that I post too much and start too many threads. Ive decided this is true.

Actually if someone posted a thread asking that question Id be interested in the views. But im not willing to post a thread starter at the moment.

Het Raf. Do you think it is a forum that should be open to anyone who wants to post? Provided theyre polite? Even if say they are only interested in motor mechanics and movies. Or do you think it should only be ex TWI? Im curious.

I dont see any problem with the "rejection" threads exy. I dont interprete them as having a particular "dig" at me. Long as everyones enjoying themselves... (slips back into hidey hole) :D-->

Raf: Generally my own policy too. Ive sort of blundered into this arguement, and as soon as I can remember how to stop justifying myself will avoid the subject and its consequent angst, as I would ordinarily do

Thanks TS. I'll look for your guidance. Moving on....If I might say, it strikes me as odd that certain of the Christians have little or no capacity to bear anything negative being said about their belief system. Why is that?

Well I have a couple questions. Is it practise on this site that posters are expected to edit their own posts if people find them offensive? As well, is it practise that the Christians do not preach their beliefs on the board(and I have not seen any Christians preaching here) and so it is generally expected that Those who do not believe in Religion will not preach their beliefs on the site? Just trying here to work out the standard proceedures at GSCafe.

Ive altered the thread Title as it is so offensive to this person. The only other thing I will say is that this is not AMERICA. Nor is it a CHRISTIAN FUNDAMENTALIST CHURCH. It is the WORLD WIDE WEB.

Well the only D A Reed I see on a search who has anything to do with anything pertaining to religious matters is David A Reed, ex JWitness extraodinaire. Id bet money its him.

Hey cynic. Heres how I view posting. I post something, people either respond of they dont. If they dont respond I drop it. Look at my thread about "Spiritualization" noone cares about it. I havent posted a doctrinal analysis thread about a non TWI church since. Fact is, I post, people reply to me by name, so being polite I personally reply to them, then they reply again, etc. I cant help it if people love me. I love them right back.

David Reed was very helpful to me. I saw one of his Witness books in a Word bookstore when I was doubting, bought it and read it. Then I wrote to the man and he wrote a long handwritten response giving me all kinds of links to support and information. Thank you David Reed!

Yeah Exy, to reject something I guess youd have to percieve there was an OFFER in the first place, and I dont believe Ive had an offer. Im under the impression that Im supposed to wrestle and agonize endlessly searching for my Lord to answer me, well Ive been there, and havent recieved a reply as I see it. Hows that?

Well exy, I think the use of the word "REJECT' carries a certain meaning and triggered off our Christian brethren here. The question is whether that meaning is the one I meant to convey. I think in retrospect the term "reject" is probably too ACTIVE a term.

Exy you are a nut. But a funny nut. Now as to TS saying that I "knew it would be inflammatory" , Ive thought on it and will conceed that he is right. I probably, (unconsciously mind) chose that title because i knew it would generate reads and lots of replies. Fair enuff. Im a bit inflammatory and have been in trouble online for it before.

I did notice your comments Dan and they seem a reasonable possibilty to me, Also Uncle hairy said some things that I tend to agree with. As to those who have discovered the "truth", well, I am caused to wonder why some of them are so offended and defensive. I dont see any pagands here howling down the Christians.

By the way. If I had known that this thread would generate the aggravation that it has generated I would never have posted it. In retropect I was in error calling the thread "Why I reject Christ". Anyone who cares to read it will notice that I havent breathed a WORD about Christ. I should have called it "Why I reject the OT God".

Hey Goey: Now see clearly Im here to learn. How can I not learn on a new site dealing with a subject I know nothing about? Impossible. Yet you think Im not here to learn. Tell you what Ive learnt so far… Ive learnt some basic TWI doctrine. Ive learnt some things about VPW, Ive learnt some TWI loaded language terms and Ive learnt who the amusing posters are, and who the resident experts are. So to think that I haven’t learnt anything or am not here to learn is incorrect. Yet you indicate that you think Im not here to learn. Im here to learn, and Im here to pass on what I know already. And I know PLENTY about certain things and get massive response to my posts, as you might have noticed. Is there something special about this site such that a topic “why I reject Christ” cant be posted here? Clue me in. My post was an explanation as to why I reject the IDEA of believing in Christ. I was curious to see whether anyone could convince me different. But you think in absolute terms Goey and misinterprete my posting. To be frank I just cant be bothered explaining it to you further than that. Youre probably the last person here that Id bother trying to explain my thinking and experience to, and that’s the fact of the matter, cause you take things said too literally and Im simply not interested in engaging in an online ego war with you.
