I understand that Harve was instructed by rr to send the letter but it was not inspected prior to being posted. Apparently someone wanted to try & get it under the fox radar. Then, afterwards, it was felt that a move from hq might be in order for some people. I know that the H*rn*y's wanted to change, so he arranged to get his certifications so he could work full time while co-ordinatingthe Dayton area. The S**c*ws are also doing the same. Some out east have full time jobs and did not want to endure assignment changes while the kids are still in school. I just find it very ironic, when they are so set on trying to keep people around that the verse on their poster this year is John 8: 32 " And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free ". I wonder how many wayfers will heed that verse & wise up to what is REALLY going on at Way World.

Over the years, I'va had the chance to share talks & time with so many of our younger people. Their concerns are things such as: how do I pay for college, how do I get that 1st job, why are we so different from other kids at school? Why can't we just have a good time with friends outside " the household "? I mean some of these kids just want to have a normal life without big brother watching evrything that they do or say. A couple of the older ones that I had as friends actually looked forward to the ACS in Dallas because it gave them a chance to make new friends from other areas. Now, they can't even do that because ACS is going back to HQ. Some are actually embarrassed or ashamed to admit that they are wayfers. I don't envy them when they get in the real world because they will NOT be ready for it. :(

That is an eye opener when you start looking at $$$$ shelled out.Now, let's add a couple things such as: The total loss of privacy, because the BoD thinks they can stick their noses in when they want. The loss of friends, because you are highly discouraged from having any outside " the household " Involvement in your community activities, because they make sure you don't have the time for any. Lack of contact with family members " because they are not of the household" Ad Infinitum........ ******************************************************************************** ********* All in all, I think MANY of the 50s crowd are starting to wake up to the realities of their spending habits. Eek

Our year was one of those nightmare on Elm Street types. The FC was a wimp, as he let his wife basically control everything. You could be on your way to a job interview or even on the way to work & she just HAD to have a family meeting. Leave a crumb on a chair & you had committed a horrible sin & were not walking in fellowship. Day off you had to be back at a set time for your family meal & meeting. We even got into it with our BC, Ha! Ha! because he could not see anything wrong with what was going on. The other family had it just as bad. They had a girl who was apprentice WC and she had a mouth like a NY longshoreman. Sly as s**t too. WE would talk to her about thingas going on & it turned out she was calling everything back to our FC's wife & then we'd get the routine about not walking in love & heeding what she was :-( trying to show us. The only good thing was at the end of the year, our BC actually complimented us on staying with it in spite of what had happened. I wanted to laugh. I truly feel, that in spite of it all, we did grow & learn during that year.

I left when it became obvious that what we had from BoD was a bunch of B* S* and a dictatorship who seems to think that, just because you are an innie, they could run roughshod over people's lives where and whenever they felt like it. It was like you could not ven breathe without a decree from rr & company. Even though vpw may have been wrong in things that he did or said, I know that what this ministry has gotten to over the past few years is not what he had originally intended. So, hats off to loy, rosie and their friends for turning something that could have been good into something from the black lagoon.....

What is written in the bible is what we, as believers, should have been trusting. Instead, I think a lot of us let our lives be swayed by what was originating out of HQ without totally checking out what we were being "taught". Because we had been shown so much by vpw, we instinctively took what lcm & the rest continued to hand out as being 100% accurate. Big mistake!!! Oh well, we live, learn and then get on with our lives....... <_<

To garthP and any other doubting Thomas's: They are going to shoot themselves in the foot if they try giving us a bum's rush. All the necessary paperwork is sitting in a US Attorney's hands, just waiting for the right time to land. Hope they have seatbelts on because it will be a nasty, bumpy ride for someone besides the believers this time.

;) Thank you to fowl play and especially to Belle for posting this. The comments expressed here are so descriptive of what a lot of us are feeling. So much has changed since VPW fell asleep and most of it, i regret to say, has been for the worse. They say that they are kinder & gentler, yet they continue to DICTATE what the household can & cannot do. This is not what this ministry was supposed to represent. Yet, as members & leadership continue looking for the exit, Rosie & company acvt as though everything is peachy keen. I haver talked to others & they are watching very carefully & waitning very patiently. I for one have had to resort to legal means to try & stop some things that I have had to deal with. To all those still in that read this, I say watch your step & your back. The goon squad IS watching what you do always.....

In regard to the funeral, it does not surprise me no one from staff attended. However, it does surprise & disappoint me that Wanda was not there. She was always caring for her mother-in-law. She tended to be nice to all she came in contact with. I had opportunities to talk with her the past few years and she had nothing but kind words for my family. Is it possible that she could not bear attending???

You know guys; maybe moneyhands & mrs. are trying to figure out what they have gotten themselves into in UK? If they're going anywhere near ole London town, they may be taking a close look at their protection. After all they've been involved in it seems ironic they should end up there right now. Oh well.....

Our year on the field was interesting to say the least. Our family co-ord.'s wife was a real "twit" who liked to rule the roost. It made us more determined than ever to stay the course for the year. We learned & we grew, just as I am sure a lot of you did who went. For that reason alone, our pins are still with us.A sign of our commitment to God & not the "mog" lcm. We even survived thru illnesses & a funeral in our families while out, because in spite of everything else, we trusted God to take care of things at home for us. -->

Thinking back, I can remember when those loyalty letters wwent out.We had a talk with our LC at the time because of stuff that was going on in our area. He gave us a heads up on the letter & said we would lose a few people over it. Yeah, we lost quite a few. Guess they saw that old lcm wasn't such mister nice guy after all. I also had some good & bad with way corps. Funny, the ones who seemed to care most about ppl managed to either get bounced to alumni status or were run out in the late 80's when lcm & his goon squad started on their rounds of witch hunts. Some were so upset about losing WC status, they just kinda vanished. When the smoke cleared, you had the idiot brigade in charge. Ironically, some of the wives, then & now, were even more arrogant than the husbands.Guess they wanted to be like Leona Helmsley & lord it over the poor peons who provided all that free labor for them. Thanks for all the good info. I always had this argument with our BC's. Show me the logic of having a $400 mortgage vs getting stuck with a $700 rent for something even close to comparable. I guess they figured all that money not going to interest would go to their pockets fot these BoD advances in the Bahamas. :(-->

Knew one corps couple who went back after M & A. They basically got ridden back out on the proverbial rail by the BC's. Ironic, as it turned out because this same BC ended up getting dumped by LCM & co for not walking the straight & narrow.

Talking about all the new assignments, I picked up a tidbit on the rumor mill. Maybe someone can help verify it. Supposedly some of the moves were done to cover butts. Apparently someone has been stepping on people's toes with/without the gfox's condoning {snooping, misdirecting mail & other stuff} Well. apparently someone has complained to USPS inspectors & US Attorney...
