I certainly understand what you all have been through. I too had waymares for a long time. I can honestly say that I don't anymore. It takes time and healing. I think what helped me was going to a therapist. I know this isn't for everyone but for me it certainly helped. The waymares will get less and less as time goes on and your life becomes more your own. Then you are free. What a wonderful freedom after years of being in bondage!!!!!!! Some guy named vpw wrote that book, copied from other writings. It was not God-breathed, that is for sure. I agree, excie, it scared me to read the title of this thread. But then I think it was to get attention. What was the purpose to bring this post up, btw? It was posted in july 2, 2002 which was quite a while ago. I have talked to kay (I'm pretty sure it was her) in chat room not too long ago and had a very nice chat. I think in frustration at times I have posted and maybe not meant to be as harsh. Gs at times does get to be a battlefield of wills and beliefs and I agree it can be really frustrating. But with all this can come of healing as we stand up for ourselves and say what we want to say. We never really had that chance. So dart, my question is why the thread, as this is very outdated? ok mike thats ok if you want to believe that. I was only remarking to you about the sociopath side. I have done some studying in this area of psychiatry and thought (however foolishly) that you might be interested in checking on this. But I have nothing against what you believe if that is what you choose to believe in. Its just something I'm not interested in whatsover. If you want to believe that I live in fear and that I'll be scared when JC comes back, will that is your problem not mine. But, by trying with words to put fear in me just won't work. The End, I found your post very open and honest!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I think a lot of people here have been down your road. I know that I have concerning depression and at times have needed meds. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'm sorry its been a hard road but it sounds like you are getting the help you need. The thing is the bod would not tell you to out and out kill someone. They would spin something to the effect that we would have to defend ourselves sort of thing. I mean like I said before being in wc you could be led to believe that things were happening and in reality they weren't. You could be doing things thinking that you were in war within america. It sounds wild I know but if you believe that your life or your family's life is in danger you would do whatever it takes to keep yourself alive and your family. Shaz, I too was at the tv knowing and understanding what those people were thinking. It was really weird!!! I agree with you that they should have consulted with a cult expert. Lindy, Good thread. I often wondered this also. While in the wc we were very isolated with the 'real' world. We had to be prepared in case we were invaded. So the only news we received was through twi. What if they told us that people were coming to kill us? In our minds we would be defending ourselves but in reality it might be a total different story.
