  1. Ok, in THIS case, I think the lyric is sung by a character, in character, as dialogue. I would NOT support quoting "Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on..." as a clue for Titanic because that is not a line of dialogue or a narration. Human was mistaken because he had the wrong movie. But I do think he raised a point worth implementing as a rule. Song lyrics are okay as long as they are sung BY a character IN character. So let it be written. So let it be done.
  2. His name was Michael Joseph Blassie. He was identified through DNA Testing in 1998. Before then, we did not know who he was, so he was interred elsewhere. He was moved to his final resting place after he was identified. Where was he interred before that?
  3. Sleeper "I got chills. They're multiplyin'. And I'm losing control. Cause the power you're supplyin': It's electifyin'!"
  4. Unbeliever interruption: The reason behind the phenomenon you describe is that God is a fictional character whose attributes developed over time. Superman could not always fly. But after a while, he could. Same with Yahweh. He was originally a humanoid. He became Spirit when the plot dictated it. He was originally smart and wise. He became Omniscient when the plot demanded he be all-knowing. He was stronger than his enemies, but he did not become omnipotent until much later. When you look at the earliest scriptures in light of the later plot developments, you can't make sense of them. So you invent figures of speech to make figurative that which was literal from the start.

    Cones of 2023

Thank you for the context, because the map as it stands looks like it's making a beeline for Florida and it's not. This one is more Sandy than Andrew. Friends on the east coast, make preparations now (especially if you're in an area that floods easily).

    So we adopted a baby

Leylanny. We Frankensteined her name from parts of all our other kids' names. Turns out the name we made up exists. It's an alternate spelling of Leilani, which is Hawaiian and means "Heavenly garland of flowers" or "Royal child." So basically we named her Princess.
  8. SWAT Robert Urich, Vegas Spenser for Hire You're up
  9. Gotta admit, I didn't think this would be hard. The current series runs on a major network. The original series that inspired it ran on a different major network if I recall correctly. Burt Reynolds recommended a promising young actor to a starring role. The producer accepted it. That actor was later lead on two fairly successful series (popular and critically praised but not terribly long lasting). The producer from this series later cast the same actor in a reboot of The Love Boat, which did not do as well.
  10. Bill Murray it is. Next round would have been better known roles, but Spackler was the best known of that bunch. Jeff Slater was his character in Tootsie, and Murray Heiss was his character in the female-driven Ghostbusters movie.
  11. Larry Darrell (this was before the Newhart series and probably coincidental) Jeff Slater, Carl Spackler
  12. No one noticed my "Who?" post was a hint. Star Lord, man. Dave Chappelle, Colm Meany, Ving Rhames
  13. Tales from the Crypt had theme music? I'll have to take your word for it. :) No, not an anthology series
  14. I just didn't want to be up on too many threads. Sigh. Guardians of the Galaxy
