    20th Corps

Any of you 20th Corps out there? There weren't too many. Drop a line if you so desire!
  2. This is my first "new topic" that I initiated, so please be kind... I realize that this may be a sore topic for many people who were subjected to abuse associated with this process, but I really am perplexed with twi's new "We don't mark and avoid anyone.... ANYMORE" policy, which so many "innies" are rejoicing about. Let's set aside for this thread, whether M/A is wrong to do or not. That would be a good topic in the doctrinal section (Romans 16:17&18). I want to focus on how twi's shift in a practical / moral way. I remember hearing LCM teach this to the Corps, and all the Corps had license to do so. Soon after Mrs. Patriot and I hit the field, the status change needed to be approved by Region Coordinators or above. Soon after that, all M/A's had to be approved only from BOD! And now, years later, they are supposedly doing away with it all together? Obviously M/A was being used to silence people, or club them into submission. My problem is, if it was a biblical concept before, why are they not standing by it now? Are they admitting that they were doctrinally wrong? If so, why not some blanket, general apologies to those who were wronged? If 'new research' has revealed something, why not share the learning with their whole ministry? Hey, it is in Romans, so it would be addressed to everyone, right? Another question is (rhetorical), why are not the innies asking for clarification either? Respectfully, for those still in, before rejoicing in the change, why not ask - was twi off the Word before - while M/A'ing people, OR are we off the Word now by not? My guess is, they cannot afford to keep losing people (for #'s and $'s sake), and because the BOD were probably sick of having to deal with each and every M/A request from the field. What say ye?

    Florida

Hello Floridians! Just wanted to update this thread. Mrs. Patriot and I are in the Orlando area. We also run a fellowship on Sunday mornings in our home. Remember, it is all about GOD - not a ministry. We love him and are very passionate about fellowship with Him and each other.
  4. Eagle, I love your heart to want to have a godly fellowship! Don't let any previous negative experiences in or out of twi deter you! Mrs. Patriot and I have been running one for almost a year (since we got out). It started with just us and our two children. Now we're bursting. It's not about the numbers, it's about loving hearts for God and for his children. We love to help take care of people, and get blessed opening our hearts & home. After that, I just believe that God will lead people where they'll be loved. Meals definitely are great! It is that biblical concept of breaking bread...sweet. Also, a fellowship is for full sharing. The STS format of "one person leads / teaches, and does all speaking until it is over, all others attend and can speak afterwards" is not too inviting. Everyone, even the kids, should have an opportunity to share something, if they want to. Well, at least that is the way we all enjoy our fellowship. Guess there are other good ways too! If it is your heart's desire, just get started the best you know! There is no magic "technique" other than you and God working together on the venture! All our best!
  5. Even by their own teachings of Acts - "Prevailing" (Acts 19:20) was to be a description of expansion results. It's amazing that even their own leaders have never wondered where even the "Added" (Acts 2:47) are....yet they are "prevailing." Over what?
  6. JT Probably is pretty easy to lose more than the 5 that graduated last year. Not sure how many this year.
  7. Further, if twi folks were sharp on these teachings, and genuinely looking at the fruit, wouldn't it be blatantly obvious that their expansion results barely meet "added to the church" status of the 1st section (where about 3,000 were added)? Prevailing is supposed to be absolutely superior - IN EXPANSION RESULTS. According to their own doctrinal teachings (which I don't totally disagree with on this topic) why is it NO ONE brings it up? Their foundational class new students are so often just 12 year old children of grads. Where is the Prevailing Expansion when 5 new people graduate from The Way Corps? When the STS at HQ's is pretty empty? When the AC Special is, reportedly, down about 400 people from the previous one? Why is it that spiritually "seeing" people cannot see that nothing in twi shows prevailing fruit?
  8. I'm a new poster here in the Forums and wanted to begin in the doctrinal section because my heart is to always be, first and foremost, Word centered. That being said, thank you for your considerations of this topic: "The Prevailing Word" is what twi says they are living in since LCM received the revelation that W.O.W. was accomplished. I was at that weird lunch when he abruptly announced it, and walked out of the dining room. Later he explained that we were now in what would be the living version of Act's 7th section - where "So Mightily Grew The Word of God (the Lord) and Prevailed" - the pinnacle section of Acts. According to LCM's own teachings regarding Rise and Expansion - and the 8 great concluding summary statements, there were (2) parts to Acts 19:20, one that summarizes Rise - "So Mightily Grew the Word of the Lord..." and one part that summarizes EXPANSION - "And Prevailed." So where am I going with this? We just left twi a few months back. This was a question I had for years, (even when in leadership positions). Why is it that, if twi is now in the 7th section, where the Word prevails, why is it not prevaling in twi's EXPANSION???
  9. Last I knew, she was living in the northern VA area, just outside of DC. She was a delightful lady...not a bad word to say of her or her two kids.
  10. J&B D*nsmore are good folks, living in the Orlando FL area. M*rgrette is not with twi and is married, in AL (I think). Ol*chs are in the Orlando area, and divorced. He is in. She is not (but she is definitely around as you may find). Cenciches were at twi HQ for years, but went somewhere. Not sure of Jessica Schroyer. Hope it helps!
