  1. /join greasespotcafe and when you get there...the room will be displayed as "greasespotcafe 1" It seems that anybody can create any room with the slash....so /gs is also a room. But the above is where most people settle.
  2. It muct have been pulled for language. The other thread he started, you know, just so you could say - - to anybody you wanted to??? that's gone too! Too bad, too...turned out to be a nice thread.
  3. We are spoiled by all the bells and whistles!
  4. Kay: I'd like to suggest that you change the picture's format to a jpeg. Those are much smaller, sort of by definition. Open Microsoft Paint...I think you should have it..and keep resizing it until it is an appropriate size. It will look smaller than a postage stamp in your program....but when it is posted on these forums will be comfortable enough for most details, and it will "fit" good luck
  5. Kay those sayings are not in our control. I'm sorry, there isn't much you can do about that.
  6. I discovered by accident that posts become inactive in 30 days, and infopop doesn't allow posting after that time. Heads up, everybody...unless we wish our "esteemed diety" to suffer demise by neglect. If we don't keep our gods alive...nobody is gonna do it for us!
  7. I wish I could take exacthy's photo and turn it around so you would have wonderful sunsets as well as sunrises, making every minute of every day totally great! Happy birthday. "Live long, and prosper"!
  8. Seth I don't know how to urge you to consider masterherbalist's words. The meds will work, attention to diet, exercise and other things spoken here will help too. I think Ginger Tea's words are priceless. Of course I'm praying too. I hope I speak for the majority when I say that we will fight with you. If you do lose your apartment, there are other ways you may be able to connect. My email is in my profile if you like. I don't know a whole lot, but I have pretty big ears!
  9. Cathy there is no normal! This is not like getting over a case of the chicken pox! I'm not being flip! I hear you! I understand you! As you continue getting over it, you'll see that your relationship with God gets better. You'll probably get into separating the wheat from the chaff and finally understand a lot of things that didn't make sense before. In addition to what's been already said, I think it would be good to allow yourself to make friends in the real world. You may want to take it slow, because it takes a while to get all your people skills back together again, but it really helps.
  10. Try going here to the WayBackMachine Don't let "WayBack" bother you (pardon the pun). I've found some old posts there.
  11. Have a wonderful day, Highway. I hope it's the best birthday ever. Just for fun: [This message was edited by krysilis on August 11, 2002 at 8:29.]
  12. I have copied those into a Word document and it is planted on my computer Desktop. Anyone else reading this, please consider my plea. I am serious. All the time I spent as an innie, and all the extra hours my career sucked out of me, left me with little time for these things, and I find myself as it I am uneducated. Email me if you like...it's in my profile...or here it is: krysilis@voicenet.com Thanks. Thanks for the list....and thanks for taking me seriously and responding in like manner.
  13. I've said this before (on Nostalgia I think) I need to go to movie school! Where do I sign up and which professors do I "take". I'm tired of being ig'nrent. I have a half-hearted list concocted over here...now somebody please tll me what else to watch... Ginger, you can be the school's HeadMistress if you like...but somebody get me started. (please?)
  14. This reminds me of Jay Leno's Man on the Street Polls (maybe not their correct name). Some people do really stupid things. Probably those that performed these outrageous acts were public school grads, only because of the higher % of students who achieve a diploma coming from public schools, not necessarily because they graduated from a public school! Also - it may be more likely that these "stupid" acts were committed by high school drop outs (most of which are from public schools) Check out some of the statistics especially in some of the larger cities. You may be appalled at the per centage of students who drop out! In some places it can be almost half of the incoming freshmen class who will fail to graduate. In general I do believe those schooled at home (and in many private schools) receive a better education, that doesn't mean all public school students achieve nothing and are the only ones without common sense.
  15. First things first, oh Prophetta Dabobbada! You take care of you, and we can wait until you feel like posting. heh heh well thought out plots are the best. Take good Neander-care.
  16. Full of insight in its context - - but it could become part of our terminology here! Clever.
  17. This is turning out to be a really great thread. Not in spite of the "passionate heated exchanges" but because of them Because of my own experiences (or lack thereof), I did not get caught up in the emotional issues that camt to light. I'm not any better or "more mature" than anybody else, I just never had some of those experiences personally...so I think it was easy for me to be more "detached". Mark this thread. When it is time to let it sink into the cyber-abyss, come back and read it again. There is a lot of learning here. If I could change all the names and repost most of this, I would. Don't misunderstand. I think the passionate exchanges were great because they were so honest. I'm sorry if feelings got hurt. But sometimes that happens even in a so called "good clean" fight (I'm talking as in boxing rules, here)
  18. I have to be frank and admit that there are some things about being 60 suck! But mostly it's not all that bad, so those of you who follow, chin up...it's worh it, I promise. I had a wonderful evening and dinner with the family at my daughter's tonite. They showered me with wonderful plants to grow in my sunny living room and kitchen. Each is more beautiful and perfect than the other. But you have made my day! I appreciate your friendship. And even though we've never met face to face, I still call it friendship because it is. Thank you for your greetings and comments. I have only a few minutes of birthday left, but I think I'll read over this thread once more before bed and I'll fall asleep full of joy, rejoicing and thankfulness, of which, you all played a part, perhaps bigger than you now know! with love krys P.S. Excathy, I think I did look pretty much like that young girl when I was her age. I used to cross my eyes like that too!
  19. On WayDale, when THE began, there were times when several posters posted, to it such as today. And there would be a lull....and then, a flourish again. "We" (and I have to include myself, because I was guilty also) used to "race" to significant numbers...like the next 100 "or something like that". Sometimes, a few would just keep hitting the reply button together with several others to see who earned the dubious honorable distinction of being poster 2500 on THE. This would probably never happened like this, except cityhog mentioned it as part of an exit post...so I went and found it and brought THE up to the top...hoping it would please her. As it happens, Dabobbada also reacquainted himself around the same time. The rest is recent history, which if you care to laff yourself silly, you can read from the middle of pg 2 on. And I must add, it is all sillyness. It is just one of those things. Sometimes a few of us "older" people just go off in a sandbox and play nice with each other (not that you have to be old to play.) Does that explain it sufficiently?
  20. There is no vengeance in mine heart! And if there were, I now know to hit the Escape key, and it would all be ok! Somebody posted a day or so ago, that they thought the fun and playfulness of THE Cafe were over. I always make pilgramages to THE, as you know. This one just happened to be a little longer than usual, and then, that young whippersnapper firebee started in....and it was all over.
  21. okay firebee! I yeild! You win, fair and square. Now maybe it's time to clean your mouse? krys
