Some of the posts here contain pictures(obtained from other sites). Other posts contain articles from other sites.

Does anyone know of any sites that explain, in normal easy to understand language, how to do this or do I really need someone here with me at the computer to show me how.

I think I have a copy of "The Internet for Dummies" - Probably the info is in there.

Computer literate I am not!

Hape4me,

icon_smile.gif:)--> hehehe. Funny! But I'm going to help Chwester and Vickles anyway.

Chwester and Vickles, lesson time! icon_smile.gif:)--> Posting images and links vary from site to site, but to post an image in these posts, you need to take the internet address and filename (such as http://www.gapstudioweb.com/gap.jpg) and enclose it with tag on the right; ie., A>.

For the links to web pages and sites, you use the http://www.gapstudioweb.com%20" target="_blank"> tag; ie., http://www.gapstudioweb.com .

Now in both of those examples you need to have no spaces at all in there. Ie., after the http://www.gapstudioweb.com://http://www.gapstudioweb.com ,%20then%20right%20after%20that%20you%20have%20the%20" target="_blank">, you immediately follow it with the http://www.gapstudioweb.com, then right after that you have the ending tag. Same principle applies to the icon_biggrin.gif:D-->

Read through the "Thread Killers" thread.

It contains a lot of how-to's.

Many here wouldn't know nothing about how to do these things except that other people here, much more knowledgeable helped along the way.

Feel free to play around.

Learning is still an exciting adventure.

Enjoy yourself.

Pawtucket allows playing around at the tables, (actually, I think he encourages it).

Chwester,

1) make sure there are NO spaces in the tag.

2) put the whole internet file address in between the tags. And

3) Make sure that the file is there to be seen. icon_biggrin.gif:D-->

Ie., like this:

(img)http://www.amuniversal.com/ups/features/doonesbury/zonker.jpg(/img)

Except see where the paranthesis are? Replace them with [ ]s.

Now try it.

Chwester, your image is not showing because the url you're putting in between the tags is incorrect.

Here is a screen shot of the html to make the image of the screen shot show here (there are no spaces at all in the url...it just looks that way because of wrapping text...so don't put any spaces in the url...but there is a space between img and src):
